tuna you have nooo idea how many ideas i have about yans falling for their doctors but i will give u something simple: port mafia; ie: chuuya, akutagawa, pm dazai, etc. x good-natured hospital doctor. one day theres a major clamor about how someone turned up outside the hospital with grievous injuries. at first its all hands on deck to help them, but eventually someone figures out that theyre mafia and everyone jumps ship. darling’s colleagues try to persuade them away from the dying mafioso, telling them how getting involved with the mafia in ANY way will turn out bad for them and to just leave them to their fate, but darling keeps to their oath and decides to take over their care.

its tiring work, working round the clock alone to keep this bastard alive, but it’ll all be worth it in the end, right? wrong. yan’s FIRST order of business when waking up and finding themselves in a hospital is to flip out. threats, attacks, the whole shebang. big tantrum. eventually darling reasons with them that theyre far too injured to go anywhere for the time being without like. dying. (this wouldnt work on dazai that well lol) and if they wanted to turn them in or kill them they wouldve done it like 2 days ago. they even agree to submit to the mafia’s retaliation if they find their care insufficient. their patient agrees, albeit very angrily, and darling sets off on the worlds most thankless job.

any of these fuckers will give darling a run for their money. dazai would spend a lot of time trying to intimidate them into letting him out early or goad them into killing him, stealing things to hurt himself with, harassing the nurses, faking symptoms, anything he can think of to make their life harder. chuuya is just NASTY, nothing to say to the person Saving His Life besides threats and insults. can never leave a check up on akutagawa without at least one bruise. so on and so forth. no support from colleagues either, darlings decision to Do Their Job making them a pariah. even so, they offer their testy patient their care and kindness without falter. as soon as theyre well enough to get up and walk out, thats exactly what they do, and darling would be lying if they said they werent glad to wash their hands of the whole thing. they’re, of course, back the next week with a new injury that they INSIST that DARLING SPECIFICALLY must look at and suddenly acting like they’re besties. darling lets them, of course, even as the injuries they come in with are more and more ridiculous, all the while trying to gently steer them away from ever coming back before they get them arrested.

well, if you didnt want them hanging around you maybe you shouldnt have been so sweet. are they supposed to forget about you holding their hand through shockwaves of pain? your soothing voice? the way you stayed up all night to watch over them while they slept? do you think they get THAT at the mafia infirmary? say, why dont you come and work there! they see how your colleagues spurn you, how ungrateful your other patients are for you. doctors are VERY highly regarded among the mafia, itd be a great fit for you! itd also let them personally make it up to you for being so awful before. win-win, right?

injuries aren't uncommon in this line of work, and bleeding out with a terrifyingly gaping wound is not a new sight for port mafioso. usually, though, mori already arranges for other people to come in and take care of the injured, and they steer clear of hospitals and clinics. it's not smart to get civilian doctors involved in this.

usually, things go as planned.

today, it didn't. dazai's subordinates were strewn somewhere else, leaving him wounded and isolated. to make things worse, he was positioned awkwardly close to a busy street. he should have anticipated that the enemy would have some other trick up their sleeve. now what? was he going to die here, like a disgraced dog? he would prefer something less painful and embarrassing, but beggars couldn't be choosers...

maybe he should have accepted mori's offer of even more backup.

he couldn't reach for his phone, and even if it didn't hurt so bad and he could get it, his fingers were trembling so much that he knew he couldn't type out anything. god, how pathetic. death was death. he couldn't be too picky about it, could he? he would welcome the end.

to his surprise, he woke up.

he was sure he was in a hospital. the plain walls, the simple bed. the papers nearby and the person in a white coat gave it away. this was bad news, terrible news. he wasn't supposed to go to any hospitals or clinics unless mori said so, and now he was here, getting treated by any regular civilian doctor.

obviously, dazai decides the best course of action is to kick up a fuss. they wouldn't hold him here against his will, right? he screams and kicks and threatens everyone until he's exhausted and the staff is ready to throw him out themselves, but you stop them. he recognizes you as the person in his room when he woke up, and watches as you defend his behavior by telling everyone how confused and frightened he would have been after waking up with no recollection of what happened in between. confused, frightened? he was mortified by your choice of words, and worse yet, it was working. everyone backed down, turned their backs and went on with their day.

and you have the audacity to turn back and smile at him like you hadn't just embarrassed him, telling him that it was expected he would have reacted so negatively, promising to help make sure his stay was as comfortable as possible. what stay? he wants to get out, but when he voiced this demand with a hoarse throat, you look more shocked and rush off to get him something for his voice instead. you sit down beside him with a hand on his and carefully explain why he has to stay and why it's important he works with you for a speedy recovery. you ask him for who you should contact since he didn't seem to have any existing identity, but he only turns away and tells you he wants to leave.

he does this for as long as he's hospitalized, complaining about everything, reminding you he doesn't have cash and that killing him would be your best course of action, since he couldn't afford the bill anyway. he tries to run away and pull off stupid stunts, but nothing works. it's infuriating how calm you are about everything. you leave and go back to your usual routine, stopping by to check up on him occasionally. the other staff, however, look terrified of him, and he relishes in the trembling hands and rushed exits. during one of their visits to sort out his room, dazai pretends to sleep so they can actually get things done without fearing he will kick them all out the window, and overhears a particularly interesting conversation.

he learns that you were the one who insisted they treat him despite everyone else noticing the signs that he was probably part of some underground organization. some determined line about how it's your job and you need to help everyone regardless of personal feelings. he thinks it's all bullshit, but your determination...is kind of cute. it's only a matter of time before you end up as soulless and exhausted as everyone else in the city, though.

then the long awaited day comes, and you announce that he can leave. he doesn't care to ask for a bill or thank you, running out and disappearing to talk to mori again, but he would be lying if he said he didn't think about you even after that day. for some reason, something about you really stuck with him. it might have had something to do with your relentless insistence to help, your unwavering patience, your calm conduct, or maybe your...voice. your sympathetic tone, your firm hold...your presence.

a week later, dazai shows up to your workplace and demands he get his hand checked out. he whines until they drag you down and then he exaggerates his terrible condition, how important and urgent it was and how he needed to be kept inside the hospital for a few weeks at least this time. it's very serious, you know. you saw through his lie, but you don't bat an eyelid, immediately complying to his outrageous demands. he was a little happy that you hadn't changed. so despite how often he showed up, with a new but small injury, you took it in stride and treated him with all the concern and seriousness he expected. could you blame him if he liked to be fussed over like this?

what he didn't like was the knowledge that you treated all your patients like this. none of them deserved the same meticulous inspections, soothing touches, dedicated service, and warm smiles you gave. it wasn't fair that he came in all beaten up and you could only come in for a quick greeting before rushing out after another patient. and for what? your meager pay? well, if he could talk to mori and get you brought over as a personal doctor for some of the high-ranking members, you'd get paid well and you could be with him all the time while doing what you loved. it was the best of both worlds, wasn't it?

also, finished my new vegas campaign. Leigh Has Achieved Her Mission or at least the closest approximation of it that the game let me achieve, which of course is the independent ending with a full securitron army and the support of the followers of the apocalypse. the only thing is i Fackin Forgor to deal with the fiends so they caused some problems but well the trouble they caused was to the ncr so i kinda dgaf. also i was surprised some khans showed up to help me at hoover dam! i actually felt kinda bad about it like no no... ive got this... you guys have been thru enough... you shouldnt have to protect the ncr from Anyone even the legion... please oomfies stay safe....

i think some of the remnants died??? idk only cannibal johnson was still with me at the legates camp. did they die?? im so sorry arcade i think theyve died. idk how. they were in power armor shooting gods lightning at enemies. whyd they die but boone didnt. boone was with me the whole time partially because earlier he was helping me with the kimball speech mission (which btw was the most awkward thing ever. love the uncoordinated animations and the crowd of 5 people. the speech that was impossible to understand like wtf is that guy saying. topped off with every npc involved getting locked in combat/fleeing at the end. love it) and i thought hed have fun with this too. well he did and he also had fun picking up rifles off of every legionnaire corpse. why does he do that. i check on him see his carrying capacity looks weird and there he is holding 8 rifles. boy drop it. drop it. now.

anyway. i kind of dont understand what happened with the brotherhood of steel, i think i had confused the game badly. i became besties with them rather early on, i even convinced mcnamara to let me join them (which like. youd think thatd have some curious implications but again, Unfinished Game) but i never talked them into making a truce with the ncr or anything. but for some reason i told mr house i did? like right before i decided i would Not be Trying The Mr House Route after all, a decision i made specifically over his insistence that i eliminate the brotherhood actually. and then yes man also acted like the bos were gonna help the ncr at hoover dam. and mcnamara kept saying he couldnt believe he would be helping the ncr even though again the subject had not once been breached. i was like ok. and then they did not in fact help the ncr. they didnt show up. wtf was that about. lies and treachery. after all i did for you. after i fixed your air conditioning. oh im sorry, was it the robots. did you not like the robots? scared of them?

and not only that, the boomers also didnt show up even though they were supposed to. motherfucker... what did i get you bastards that airplane for... you people were so annoying and unkind and i still helped you. because i thought i could count on you. for everything i did for you. loyal i hope your solar arrays break immediately. that guy who works with loyal idr your name i hope your gf breaks up with you and then you explode. i hope all of you explode. i shouldve known. i shouldve known better.

like thats so funny. of all the factions that i had recruited the ones that actually showed up to help were 1. The Elderly Ex-Soldiers Of The Horrid American Regime 2. the great khans, Unexpected And Unannounced. oh well. we still mowed through those bastards. thats right. thats right. all you centurions and other creeps, you stood no chonce. no chonce against this hungry hungry woman. she ate caesar, shes gonna eat all of you. thats how you deal with enemies and opponents and adversaries.

as for legate lanius i fully buy into the Legate Lanius Isnt Real theory. i mean yes ostensibly theres a guy, whose name Allegedly is lanius, and hes a legate. but hes just a propaganda figure. legate lanius The Cruel Merciless Force Of Destiny Itself, The Devil, Unpredictable, Cares For Naught But Victory, with all those crazy stories of how he became part of the legion. well thats not real. hes just a tall guy in a scary mask and he doesnt really wanna be here. like the fact that you can just talk him into retreating. like hey man this campaign has already cost you your leader and youre gonna keep having a bad time around these parts. take that taste the pain. and hes just like Yeah ok Theres wisdom in what you say Youre a worthy opponent indeed. Goo Bye Bye. and sprints away. ok. scariest guy east of the colorado river you guys. had to stay holed up in the little baby camp away from any fighting until the last big battle and even then he didnt leave the aforementioned little baby camp. he wasnt leading anything or anyone. he was in his tent scared and fingering himself. scram.

felt kinda bad throwing general oliver off the dam. it was an impulsive decision and i was like man i shouldnt have done that. i barely knew the guy. kind of a gruesome way to go. sure he pissed me off and was overall a bad person but i shouldnt be doing shit like that. doesnt inspire others' confidence in my Collected Trustworthy Nature. i think.

im really glad about the good endings i got for all my companions. they just all got really chill ending slides. theyre all just kinda hanging around the mojave helping people and being cool. arcade status: chillinnnng 👍 boone status: chillinnnng 👍 cass status: chillinnnng 👍 lily status: chillinnnng 👍 raul status: ghost cowboy. veronica status: chillinnnng 👍

Make sure to secure all of your social media profiles , keep any documentation of conversations with your ex.

Now I cannot tell you whether you should or not contact your ex as if he is very dangerous it could backfire. Please think through if you decide to contact him is he somebody who can listen to reason? you could respond with one message.

oh my god bestie you are going to regret asking me this i have so many thoughts

but before i start, as always quick disclaimer that very little of this is based on anything in canon it is all just the Vibes from my heart

now first and foremost. she is a lesbian and i will die on this hill. HOWEVER. while she was young and figuring out her sexuality she was had a comp het crush on eugene (i mean come on who didnt amiright gals 🥴) so they ended up going on like one date, then after that one date she was like "ope yeah im definitely a lesbian sorry rider" and he was like "lmfao its cool 🤝" mlm/wlw solidarity 😌

she and eugene pulled a few jobs together back in the day but they had very different reasons. she stole from the castle to be like "fuck the monarchy and fuck frederic" and eugene did it a) to pay back his debts to the baron and b) for fun. they recognized that they both had very different motives but they had the same goal so they still teamed up a lot. they were friends but they were never like. Close.

caine grew up in corona and never wanted to leave it because its her home! her dad loved corona and believed that it was a good place right up until he got thrown in jail for a minor crime. lady caine took that to heart because her dad believed in the kingdom and believed it could be better, and it COULD but she saw fred as the thing that was in the way of corona's improvement, and by association rapunzel. her mom was never rly in the picture, so once she lost her dad she pretty much had no one. but she cared about corona and thought that it could be as good as her dad said it was if it weren't for frederic, so she made plans to overthrow the king because she believed it would save corona

once rapunzel came home, everyone was celebrating and was like "wow the king and queen must be so happy!" and lady caine is PISSED because wtf???? fred gets to pull all this shit while rapunzels gone but now that shes back we're all just supposed to forget about it and be happy???? and shes angry because fred gets his daughter back after all these years but caine doesnt get her dad back even though rapunzel's kidnapping is the reason she lost her dad in the first place. so she is even angier at the king than she was before and she goes "fuck it! we're going to interrupt the coronation because everyones going to be watching and we need to remind the people of the fucked up shit frederic did and he shouldnt just get to look down on us like this!!"

also going back to her dad, she has NO idea what happened to him because she was never allowed to stay in contact with him after he got arrested. she has no way of knowing if he got executed or was still in jail or what happened. once she gets thrown in the dungeon after the coronation, she starts asking around to try to find out what happened, eventually she finds out that he died in jail and thats pretty much her breaking point. he was what she was holding onto to think about how good the kingdom could be, but he died and maybe theres no hope for it after all. which is why she tries to leave in that one horse episode (the one with axel. i forget the name all i remember is that i hate it).

THEN. she is in her moment in the boat episode (peril on the high seas i think??? you know the one). FIRST OF ALL she was the one to plan most of it. she was like "fuck it we're on a boat, we're getting the hell away from corona right now." she straight up murders the guards that were supposed to be on the boat. (side note but in that episode they make a comment at the beginning where eugene is like "??? if this is a prison barge where are the guards?" and its not brought up again. it is basically canon that the prisoners fucking killed the guards.) shes running the ship in this, and shes no explicitly in charge because no one on that boat would be very happy about it if she was straight up telling them what to do but like. shes the one handling things

also a little unpopular opinion but i dont think she really cares at all about eugene. she first hears about Flynn Rider™️ saving the lost princess and she goes "?? okay? idc good for him i guess" because she has bigger things to worry about than him. and its not like he abandoned his morals or anything because she knew that he wasnt in it for the same reasons as her so she was pretty much like "alrighty then rider's with the princess now, i do not care" but shes pretty pissed at him during the coronation and the boat because hes directly getting in her way, shes especially annoyed during the coronation because shes like "bitch you KNOW why im doing this wtf" but she still gets it and doesnt hold a grudge against him specifically any more than shes holding a grudge against all of them

anyways! eventually she breaks out of prison and kind of has no idea what shes doing now because shes spent so long trying to save corona and take down the monarchy but shes all but given up that hope so she just kinda wanders around for a while. lo and behold she runs into cass, who is also on a journey of self discovery, and they fight for a while but eventually they end up sort of teaming up? they just kind of go "alright we're both trying to figure out our place in the world, might as well do it together" and, you guessed it, they get together. casscaine nation rise 😌🙌 they have an awkward mutual pining thing for a while but eventually they start dating

cass is like "hey i know you hate corona but its my home too actually and its not as bad as you think it is" so caine ends up giving corona a second chance and sees that rapunzel is queen and shes actually Making A Difference so shes not as mad anymore. later on she and cass return to corona and she goes to rapunzel and basically gives her an itemized list of things that need to be changed to make corona a better place, and she ends up kind of working for rapunzel? no one is entirely sure how caine sort of became an unofficial royal advisor other than that she pretty much walked into the castle and wouldnt stop talking until they listened to her

back to casscaine <3 everyone in corona has a fucking heart attack when cass is like "meet my new gf 🥰" and its the person that has wanted to kill all of them multiple times. shes like "its okay im domesticated now" and i mean. theyre all reformed criminals. so theyre just like "okay cool! welcome to the club" but the captain is much less receptive. he tries to be calm and chill and normal about it because he wants to be supportive of his daughters relationship but he is nearly having a stroke because back in her Crime Prime she ranked on his list of "Top Ten Criminals That Give Me Gray Hairs" (eugene takes up 3 spots on that list). after a while he warms up to her, hes still a little wary but mostly hes like "🙂whatever makes my daughter happy🙂"

okay so...

I've been feeling a little lost for a while.

You know... I have a dream. everyone does, i know, but... its the first i've felt as thought i want to work for it yknow? like, i feel that if i could achieve this dream, my life would be worth it somehow. I would be happier.

a couple of months ago, i started working for it. started doing what it takes. started seeing the bigger picture. but now? i feel like i've lost my way. all i've been doing these days is reading stuff that i probably shouldnt, scrolled thru tumblr, and talked to people here, and as amazing as it may have been, and as much as i love you guys, i think i need a break.

so, i guess now's the time i tell you that i'm taking a semi hiatus. i need to focus on what i really want. and the difference in me now? i really want to work for it. for real. that's a big achievement for me. i have the dreams of a future that i want, and i love it. and i want to work for it.

so i wont be as active anymore. i'll be logging off for a while. sorry if this comes as a shock to anyone but i'm horribly lost. like, james cook kind of lost. like, i want to get to india but i got lost in america kind of lost. and i dont like it. i hate it actually.

so until i finish like half of the million things i have on my to do list, i'll try not to be that active, and try (keyword TRY) not to read too much storybooks. u see, i have an addiction problem. and right now, i have a tumblr addiction. so i'm tryna... make it less of one and take it chill. of course, i'll still be writing my fics and posting, but i wont be responding to the stuff on tumblr. if u want me to see your responses, do it on ao3 so that i see your comments and get back to them :) 'Ecstasy' will be re-continued, and posted.
