Zach would be shocked at first, literally almost like he didn’t know how it happened, he would even say that, too. But, he would be happy and reassure you in every way.
You stood staring down at the hotel’s bathroom sink. The test lighting up with a dark second line that, in all honesty, you weren’t ready to see. “Zach.” You call out, slowly turning towards the door and your nose is met with his chest. You look up at him and he leans against the door, “Need help with somethin’”
He smirks, and raises his brows and you laugh slightly, still in shock about what’s sitting on the other side of your makeup bag, “Um, I mean..” And that’s when it hit you. Tears are instantly blurring your eyes and Zach pulls you into him, “Hey, hey, hey.” He shushes you, rubbing your back, “What’s happening right now?”
He wipes the tears from your face and you motion towards the sink, gasping as you start to cry again. He maneuvers around you to your other side, keeping on hand on you as he looks down to reach for the test, “How the hell did that happen?” You can’t help but laugh, giving him a slight push, “You know how this happened.”
He fingers rub over your hip while he stares down at the test in his hand, “We got this.” He shrugs, looking over at you, “I mean, I can already guarantee you that you’re going be the best mom ever.” You start to cry, laying your head on his chest and he hugs you tight, “It’s okay. Do you want to call Tara?” You nod and he laughs slightly, “Okay, come on. We’ll call Tara.”
Zach would totally lay in bed with you, his head rested gently against your growing baby bump, and just tell jokes. He would have you laughing so hard sometimes, you get a few punches and kicked to the belly every so often and he’s amazed, and slightly freaked out each time.
“Hey, sweetheart.” Zach whispers and you look up, “Hmm.” He looks up at you, “Not you, the baby.” You raise your brows, “Okay. Sorry for interrupting.”
“Yeah, you should be.” He tries not to laugh as he looks back at your belly, pointing lazily towards you, “get a load of this heckler back here, huh.”
You shake your head, laughing quietly as he continues, “Alright, kid. Riddle me this.. why didn’t the chicken cross the road?” He pauses, both of your eyes are on your belly, “To get the other side.”
Zach laughs and gently pats your belly, which finally gets baby girl to kick and he cheers, saying, “That’s right, funny like your daddy.”
Zach would definitely [playfully] pick on you about your midnight/early morning cravings and everyone would defend you.
“Yeah, all because these two-“ he points to you and your baby belly, a smile fighting to appear on his lips as he reminds dramatic, “-had me up at four am to go get breakfast.”
Tara leans over, laying her hand on your belly, “Oh shut up, zach.” She laughs, “You did this to her, so you need to oblige to every request y/n has.” You look over at Zach and he rolls his eyes, “We need to give that baby a clock or something.”
“I don’t think..” Jared sighs with a laugh as he shakes his head, “How do you plan on-“ Jared goes to ask but Zach cuts him off, “Do you really want the answer to that? Because it’s the same way the baby got in there.”
“You do realize that you can say no, right? I mean.. I wouldn’t like saying no to a pregnant lady, but you do you man.” Alyssa laughs. You laugh, looking over at Zach and he slowly shakes his head before nodding, “I love you.”
Zach would definitely stack stuff on your stomach and get sad when baby would kick, knocking his tower over and he would pout.
You glance down, lifting your sunhat a little to see Zach, stacking seashells on your growing baby bump, “Baby. What are you do-“
You gasp when you feel a hard kick from inside your stomach and the small tower Zach was building, falls. He lets out a small scoff, “You’re supposed to be on daddy’s side, sweetheart.”
He sits up and you look at him, “Where are you going?” He stands up and looks down at you, “To find more shells. This isn’t over, yet.”
When you’re nearing the end of your pregnancy and just overall done with it all, Zach is always your safe space, even though he’ll crack a joke or two, you know he can’t help it. It’s just in his nature.
“Hi, sweetheart.” Zach greets you as you walk out of the bedroom. You look over at him, the look of over being pregnant clear on your face. You whine as you walk over to Zach, ““Why won’t she just get out already?”
He welcomes you with open arms, “Come here my babies.” He gives your shoulder a little squeeze before he places a hand on your belly, leaning down close, “Now you listen here little miss.”
You can’t help but smile and lay a hand on his back, “Your mama..” he stifles back a laugh, trying to keep his mood a pretend serious, “..Already has me to deal with, alright? She doesn’t need you having her stubbornness either.”
You look up at him and he presses a quick kiss to your lips, “shhh you didn’t hear that right now.” As much as your hormones want to cry because he called you stubborn, Zach calmed you more than anything else could ever.

Far from where the Crystal Gems were situated in the Ouroborium, the remaining Rutile Rebels had been given their own quarters to rest before they were sent out into the Contest of Champions to fight. While everybody was conversing among themselves about battle strategies and how they could use the contest to their advantage, Andesine was sitting in silence, her hands clasped together as she sat contemplating their current situation before Cinnabar walked over to her. "Andesine, is something bothering you?"
"As a matter of fact, there is," Andesine said as she got up and made an announcement. "It's about Black Rutile! For months on end, her leadership has proven to grow more inept the more time she spent on Earth, but now she just up and abandons us to be abducted by these Snake People! And when she finally comes for us, she teams up with Steven of all people! STEVEN!"
"Actually, I believe they call themselves Slytherohphidians." Eyeball corrected Andesine. "Though I highly doubt you care."
"You're right, I don't," Andesine said. "What I do care about is that she is no longer fit to lead us, which is why I nominate myself to take her place! I have the centuries of experience, the tenacity, the manipulativeness, and the best army I could ever have at my side!" The rebel Gems began cheering for their new leader. "That's what I needed to hear!"
"But what about me, Andesine?" Cinnabar asked the bigger Gem. "I'm just as experienced as you, plus I was Black Rutile's apprentice back in the day!"
"You certainly display your fair share of good leadership qualities, but your numerous failures against those Pearls say otherwise," Andesine replied with a hand on Cinnabar's shoulder. "I on the other hand managed to deceive those Gems into believing I surrendered, and they fell for my lies hook, line, and sinker!"
"Anyone else cares to debate?" Howlite challenged the Rutile Rebels.
"You know, now that I think about it, Andesine is a way better leader than what Black Rutile has become." Aquamarine realized. "I will follow you to the ends of the galaxy, the universe even!"
"Let's hear it for the Andesine Armada!" Amber hollered, prompting the other members of the newly renamed rebellion to start cheering for their new leader.
"ALL HAIL ANDESINE, ALL HAIL ANDESINE, ALL HAIL ANDESINE!" the Andesine Armada chanted in jubilation while Andesine ate it all up, and Cinnabar was left worrying if the attention would get to her head.
--
Outside in the Ouroborium, the crowds began cheering as Lapis was the next Crystal Gem to be forced to fight for her life, though she didn't put up much of a fight as she had to be picked up off her feet and carted into the arena.
"It's looking to be an exciting matchup, sports fans!" the commentator Jiross exclaimed as the arena transformed into a landscape that was freezing cold on one side and hellishly hot on the other. "In this corner, we have a Lapis Lazuli all the way from Earth! This is one tough cookie you don't want to mess with because her opponent is none other than the Magman Envyrno!"
"Okay, fire and water? Do you want me to lose?!" Envyrno yelled as she was dropped on the fire side of the arena. "Very well then, I can work with this." She then transformed into her Escafil disguise and scampered towards Lapis before clawing at the Gem's face. "Hahaha, my standard form may be my greatest weakness, but it has other uses too!"
"Why don't you put them to use, huh?" Lapis smirked before she spread her wings and flew towards the Ouroborium's sky dome.
"You got it!" Envyrno shouted as she grew wings on her back and yelled "LUUUUUUNCHTIIIIME!" The fight quickly turned into an aerial battle between the two fliers as they launched their respective elements at each other like cannonballs, with Lapis conjuring water from her wings while Envyrno drew lava from her own body and her side of the arena.
"Ooh, looks like we got a real dogfight here, folks!" Michauffer cried out as Lapis and Envyrno duked it out, spreading water and fire across the arena that either drenched their audience or set them on fire. "Which one will be yelling man down by the end of the match?!"
"Woo, this is the most fun I've had in ages!" Envyrno yelled as she tried to take Lapis down. "Haven't had this much of a blast since I was captured by these snake pricks!"
"Then why haven't you bothered escaping?!" Lapis yelled back while trying to throw water bombs at Envyrno.
"Because why cut the fun I'm having here short?!" Envyrno cackled. "Getting to incinerate all these unlucky schmucks for their amusement brings me so much joy! I think I may have wiped out a few last of some species too!"
"You're completely insane!" Lapis yelled and formed a spear of water to try and stab her fiery opponent with.
"I know you are, but what am I?!" Envyrno yelled through gritted teeth before trying to take a bite out of Lapis's face, only to suddenly get stabbed in the torso by the water spear before she could pull it off. As the lava composing her body rapidly began to cool, Envyrno felt herself getting heavier, meaning she was about to fall towards the ground. "Really couldn't resist taking me by surprise when I wasn't looking, huh?"
"No hard feelings, I hope." Lapis apologized as Envyrno turned from lava to stone and she dropped to the ice side of the arena, shattering upon impact to the jubilation of the masses as Lapis descended to the broken remains of the Magman. "Oh no, did I kill her?!"
"No, we Magmen actually can regenerate our bodies after a couple of hours," Envyrno whispered to Lapis, even though her mouth was in stone pieces. "But let's just say you killed me since that'll keep the audience happy."
Indeed, Lapis looked around at the cheering throngs of Slytherophidians who were excited to see that one of the Crystal Gems had finally taken a life, while Steven and Peridot looked ashamed that their friend would do something like this. Although Lapis appreciated the applause as she departed the arena with Envyrno's remains in hand.
--
For the next fight, Peridot was forced into the arena to fight Titanium. Even though Titanium was far larger and stronger than Peridot, the fact that he was a Metal made Peridot very confident that she would win. "This will be too easy, I can control metal with my powers! You stand no chance!"
"Do not believe power over my people will earn you victory, little Peridot." Titanium coolly stated while preparing an ion blaster to fire with. "I have been fighting battles for thousands of years, and you will find that I have acquired a particular set of skills over my long military career." He pointed the cannon at Peridot. "Shall I give an example?"
"Okay, that does it!" Peridot yelled. "This should be about as far as I go! If there was ever a time to run for the hills, this is it!" Scampering away as fast as her little body could go, Peridot nimbly dodged every blast Titanium fired at her with his ion blaster. When she proved too fast for him to shoot, Titanium decided to get up close and personal by throwing the blaster away and brandishing an axe instead.
"Okay, now you're just being unfair!" Peridot said as she held her hands out to try and defend herself, only to reflexively push Titanium away from her and into the stands. "Oh my stars, I did it! I won!"
"Well done Peridot, now finish it." Titanium said as he got up and let his guard down, followed by the audience chanting "FINISH HIM! FINISH HIM! FINISH HIM!"
"No, I don't want to," Peridot said. "Besides, I'm way too tiny to land the killing blow!"
"Well, you heard it here, folks, Peridot has an actually pretty justifiable reason to object to killing her opponent." Michauffer declared as the audience muttered in reluctant agreement.
"Well, this is intriguing." King Cobralan said to himself as Titanium allowed Peridot to walk onto his metallic hand.
"You're quite the interesting Gem, Peridot." Titanium complimented his opponent while walking away with Peridot by his side. "You're so small, yet you carry so much potential as well."
"I am also a genius without much competition." Peridot bragged with a laugh. "But I'll be honest, I was in way over my head on this one. I wasn't even sure if I was strong enough to face you in combat."
"It's okay Peridot, I was a little unsure of myself too, but I knew deep down I could make a new friend." Titanium smiled. "You are who you choose to be, little one."
--
Garnet and Amethyst were the next two Crystal Gems to be forced into the fight, this time in a two-versus-two matchup between the alien cowboys of Sergione-29, Sheriff Spiegel, and Deputy Edward. "It's high noon." Garnet declared while adjusting her shades.
"Two against two? Seems like pretty even odds." Sheriff Spiegel said while loading his gun.
"You're not the first members of your kind we faced," Deputy Edward added with a smirk. "so try and keep up, little ladies."
"Only if you plan on doing so, too." Garnet confidently replied before dodging a bullet from Sheriff Spiegel by simply tilting her head to the side. The bullet didn't even do so much as to leave a dent in her hair.
"Don't forget about me!" Amethyst said as she spin-dashed straight into Edward's shins, causing him to fall over and lose his gun in the process. "What in blazes?!"
"Surprise!" Amethyst yelled before turning her head into a crocodile and clamping her jaws around Edward's head. "Jazz hands!" she added with a pair of jazz hands.
"What did I just witness?" Sheriff Spiegel asked before Garnet took him by surprise and punched him in the back of the head. "Oh, wise guy, eh?!" he yelled before firing more bullets at Garnet, but she deflected them with her gauntlets. "Dammit!"
"Someone get this thing offa me!" Deputy Edward scrambled around the arena in panic with Amethyst continuing to bite on his head. "Seriously, we deserve more of a challenge than this!"
"If it's a challenge you want, then a challenge you'll get." Garnet calmly boasted while making her gemstones shine. "Amethyst, to me!"
"Uh, okay then!" Amethyst said as she turned her head to normal before diving into Garnet's arms, and the two fused into Sugilite, standing proud and boastful over the two cowboys.
"HOLY GUACAMOLE, WE GOT ANOTHER FUSION UP IN THIS HOUSE!" Jiross yelled excitedly as the audience began cheering for Sugilite.
"Who be jammin' now?!" Sugilite laughed loudly.
"YOU BE JAMMIN' NOW!" the spectators chanted as Sugilite proceeded to curb-stomp Spiegel and Edward like no tomorrow. "FINISH THEM! FINISH THEM! FINISH THEM!"
"You really had to open your big mouth, didn't you Ed?!" Spiegel said as Sugilite's beatdown continued.
"What, would you rather I get my head bitten off?!" Edward yelled back when it seemed like the pummeling finally stopped.
"Eh, I'm bored," Sugilite said before walking away from the arena, satisfied by what she's done.
"Well, at least we didn't die," Edward said as he got up and straggled away from the arena.
"No, just our bodies and spirits are broken," Spiegel replied while struggling to stand back up. "Hey, can you be a pal and pick me up? I think my legs are broken."
--
"Alright Ronaldo, you've been preparing your whole life for this!" Ronaldo hyped himself up as he was next to be forced out into the arena. Unlike everyone else though, he was excited to fight for his life for the Slytherophidians' entertainment. With a bronze chest plate over his shirt and a katana blade he got at an anime convention, the conspiracy theorist was more than ready for his big moment.
"Well, look what we have here, a human dares to step up to challenge some of the universe's finest!" Jiross said as Ronaldo strutted into the arena with a cocky swagger.
"Humans, huh? How do they do it?" the first heckler wondered aloud.
"How do they do what?" the second heckler asked his friend.
"How do they manage to stay alive after all these eons?" the first heckler replied, his one-liner causing the two to laugh uproariously.
"ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?!" Ronaldo yelled at his arms in the air before presenting his sword to the masses. "This sword is a replication of the Shining Finger sword from the hit anime series Mobile Home Warrior Gatha, used by its titular protagonist in his fight against evil superpowered land developers trying to destroy his trailer park home, and I shall use it in his name!"
"Don't get too cocky, because here comes your opponent now!" Jiross declared as the Decimator stomped into view, blades at the ready to fight Ronaldo despite their vast difference in size. "Careful, he bites!"
"Hm, excuse me, little boy, are you supposed to be my opponent?" the Decimator asked snidely while bending over to look down at Ronaldo.
"Yes, I am Ronaldo, the greatest warrior that Earth has ever known!" Ronaldo boasted while throwing double peace signs into the air. "Songs have been written about my legendary adventures, and once I am done here, I shall go down in this planet's history!"
The Decimator didn't say anything in response to Ronaldo's audacious bravado. He had faced many opponents who were too big for their britches before, but this single human with a sword the giant was convinced may not even be real took the cake. Rather than simply using his chained blades, the Decimator attacked Ronaldo by kicking him into the wall. "You have got to be joking."
Upon realizing just what he was up against, Ronaldo let out a shriek of terror and quickly began running back to the inside of the Ouroborium, terrified of the Decimator's sheer might even though he was only dealt a fraction of it. "There is no way my luck is that bad!"
"What are you doing, Ronaldo?!" the voice of Peedee shouted for his older brother, much to Ronaldo's surprise as he looked to the stands to see his little brother among the crowd of snake people who were now laughing at Ronaldo's expense. "Get back in there and fight!"
"Are you kidding me?! This guy is huge!" Ronaldo exclaimed, pointing at the Decimator, who hadn't moved an inch, behind him. "Plus, what the heck are you doing here?"
"I'll explain later, just get back in there and-" Peedee tried to reply, but Ronaldo was already running for his life. "And he's gone."
"Well, that was a pretty good halftime show." King Cobralan proclaimed, trying his hardest to remain composed despite the humorous situation he just witnessed. "I must admit, that Ronaldo is a very interesting fellow. Maybe we should see what the other humans have to offer."
--
"And for our next battle, we got another two versus two match!" Jiross announced as Cinnabar and Andesine arrived on the field of battle. Cinnabar unsheathed her broadsword and pointed it at Captain Gearfeet and Rigby Starglow. Andesine meanwhile struck a pose as she pulled her flaming sword out of her gem.
"Well, don't hesitate on my account!" Andesine grinned evilly as Rigby retaliated by trying to smack Andesine in the face with his guitar. "Oh, what fun! What fun!" she cackled before slicing the guitar in two with her sword.
"Oh, bugger!" Rigby muttered as the Starman raised his legs and began fighting in a capoeira-like style, his calves clashing with Andesine's burning blade while Cinnabar contended with Gearfeet.
"This reminds me of the time I fought for my soul at Davy Jones' Black Hole!" Gearfeet reminisced on previous adventures as his sword, now taking the place of his detachable metallic left hand, collided with Cinnabar's own. "Or when I took on Starbeard for the legendary treasure of Sil V. Erman!"
"As much as I'd love to hear more of your adventures, they are not important right now!" Cinnabar yelled as she got down low and sliced one of Gearfeet's namesake gears for feet off of his leg, leaving him disabled and stumbling over.
"Oh dangit, that was my favorite leg!" Gearfeet complained as he struggled to get back up and started hopping on his remaining leg. "But I won't go down that easily!"
"Oh, will you?" Cinnabar said before grabbing at Gearfeet's sword arm and ripping it off with her bare hands, not even bothering to use her sword again because she was that confident in her abilities. "Looks like you've been disarmed! Get it? Disarmed?"
"I'm invincible!" Gearfeet bragged while continuing to hop on one foot and angrily shaking his remaining fist at Cinnabar.
"You're a looney." Cinnabar shook her head in disgust before turning to Andesine, who was more or less evenly matched with Rigby Starglow.
"For a celebrity, you're actually quite skilled." Andesine complimented her opponent as her sword seared through Rigby's garish costume and his pompadour hairdo.
"Oy, watch the bod, babe!" Rigby yelled as he was literally down on his last legs before being taken down with a searing hot slash to the back. That was when the chanting started again.
"FINISH THEM! FINISH THEM! FINISH THEM!" the Slytherophidian audience ordered Cinnabar and Andesine, who were all too happy to comply with the spectators' requests had it not been for Rigby's quick thinking.
"Oh geez, it hurts." Rigby groaned as he struggled to get up from his debilitating injury and picked up the disabled pirate captain's body. "It's like ashes to ashes all up in here!"
"Hey, thanks for the lift, Rig." Gearfeet thanked Rigby as he limped their way away from the two Gems. "Big fan of your work by the way. Can you sign my replacement leg?"
"For you, Cap'n? Anything." Rigby smiled at Gearfeet as they successfully escaped. Although Cinnabar and Andesine didn't successfully kill their opponents, they still found this a victory anyhow.
"I guess you are more worthy as a leader after all," Cinnabar said to Andesine as the two Gems walked away arm in arm. "Allow me to call yourself your second in command."
"Thank you Cinnabar, that means the world to me," Andesine replied, passing by a very jealous Aquamarine as the duo reveled in their triumph.
--
Meanwhile, Black Rutile was treated to a visit to Prince Nosiop's chambers in the Jormagundr family's royal palace. As expected of a prince, the room was extraordinarily lavish, but there was an air of cynicism and desire Black Rutile could sense in the quarters. "Nice place you have here."
"Thank you, my father before me had this room, and his father before him, and so on," Nosiop said while gazing at a portrait of a king cobra much like King Cobralan. "This is a portrait of my ancestor, King Serpentes I, the original ruler of Serpentes whom our planet was named after."
"Quite the family resemblance." Black Rutile smirked in amusement. "He was the one who started this Contest of Champions, didn't he?"
"Indeed, and every king of Serpentes after him continued that tradition," Nosiop explained. "I'm expected to keep it going once I ascend to the throne, but I have far bigger plans than that incompetent fool I call a father who'd rather keep the people entertained than listen to the good ideas I have!"
"I can relate so much, my friend." Black Rutile agreed with the Slytherophidian prince. "I have so many good ideas on how to improve Gem society, but I'm always treated as the villain while everyone bends the knee to some brat who literally threw the mother of all tantrums to get his way!"
"It truly delights me to see a fellow misunderstood genius," Nosiop said while taking Black Rutile's hands and gazing into her eyes. "Come, let us restore our races together and depose that moronic despot!"
"I'll agree to anything you say." Black Rutile replied eagerly. "But first, we'll need to make a few arrangements first."
--
"Ladies and gentlemen, here comes what will no doubt be one of the biggest events in Contest of Champions history!" Michauffer yelled as the Diamonds were next to be brought into the arena. "On this side of the arena, we have White, Yellow, and Blue Diamond, all the way from the Gem Homeworld!" The spectators immediately booed the three Diamonds. "I can see who everyone wants to lose already. And on this side, it's Tungsten, Chromium, and Steel of the Mighty Metals!"
"So it has come to this, I see." Tungsten mused as he, Chromium, and Steel were brought into the arena as well. "We promise to go easy on you, Diamonds. But if you slay us here and now, it will mean war."
"We'll make good on that promise," White smirked before giving her orders. "Diamonds, attack!" As the fight began with Yellow and Blue Diamond fighting Chromium and Steel, the two trios of monarchs all recollected the first time they signed the Ferrum Accords centuries ago.
--
"And so, we enact the Ferrum Accords." Steel declared as he, the other Metals, and the Diamonds all finished signing what would one day become the Ferrum Accords. "With this bill, neither side shall engage each other in combat in any circumstances that will end in fatality. Otherwise, it will mean another war between our planets, winner take all."
"So glad we were able to reach an agreement, Metals," Yellow replied. "We've already wasted enough valuable resources on this silly war as is."
"And we've wasted enough time talking to you as is!" Chromium yelled angrily. "We've lost numerous planets to you, but Budiansky-84 was where we crossed the line!"
"Chromium, no needless antagonizing." Steel tried to calm his brother down.
"Ignore my two youngers here, we hope you shall honor our little agreement here," Tungsten said to the Diamonds.
"We shall make sure of that, Tungsten." Blue Diamond nodded. "Cross our hearts."
--
Back in the present day, despite the Diamonds being far more powerful, the Metals were far more durable and resistant to their attacks. White fired lasers from her eyes at Tungsten, but he practically shrugged them off while slashing at her legs with his swords.
"Please, don't let this start another war!" Blue urged the Metals as she was brought to her knees by Chromium.
"If it's a war you want, then a war you shall get!" Chromium said eagerly as he fired his laser cannon at Blue's gem, poofing her instantly.
"Chromium, you're out of line!" Steel chided his comrade while fighting Yellow, who was suddenly taken out by Chromium's cannon without even a fight.
"You said this wouldn't start a war!" White gasped as she saw her sisters be taken down to the excitement of the Diamonds' defeat.
"Why? This is way too easy! You've all gotten soft since Era 3 began!" Chromium laughed.
"Chromium, don't do it!" Tungsten yelled as Chromium jumped up and struck White in the head with his cannon, poofing her instantly and causing the crowd to chant.
"FINISH THEM! FINISH THEM! FINISH THEM!" the Slytherophidians chanted more vigorously than ever, eager to see the Diamonds finally get their karma while Tungsten and Steel tried to keep Chromium from shattering them.
"Come on, let me give them one crack!" Chromium exclaimed as he struggled to get out. Unfortunately for him, some Slytherophidians dove into the arena in the nick of time and dragged the Diamonds' gems away in large stretchers.
--
"Did they just poof the Diamonds?!" Pearl barked in alarm at what the Crystal Gems just saw.
"Well, we're boned," Jasper added defeatedly.
"What do we do now?" White Topaz asked, terrified of what could be to come for them.
"Simple, we keep fighting until we can get to the bottom of this," Steven said boldly. "Anyone else with me?"
"I am." Connie declared.
"Count me in too," Greg answered hopefully.
"And me, even though I utterly suck at this!" Ronaldo yelled.
"At least you're honest about this," Peedee replied with his arms folded.
"That reminds me, what are you doing here?" Peridot asked Peedee.
"Dad told me to sneak onboard that snake person's ship to keep an eye on Ronaldo," Peedee answered. "I'm surprised nobody noticed me until now, but I guess all that time watching Iron Gear Solid cutscenes on TubeTube taught me a lot about stealth."
"That would explain everything." Bismuth nodded.
--
"Oohohohohoho, I haven't had this much fun since driving Steven to his breaking point!" Black Rutile cackled at what she just watched with Nosiop and Pyth. "It's always so invigorating to see the people I hate get utterly humiliated, especially after how the Diamonds tried to hide how much organic life they extinguished."
"So, what shall we do now?" Pyth asked Black Rutile.
"Now, we go and see some old friends of mine." Black Rutile sneered, knowing just who she was talking about.
--
Well, if the Diamonds were taken out that easily and not because I kind of rushed this to meet my personal deadline, then there's no telling how the Crystal Gems will fare in the rest of the games. What do Black Rutile and Nosiop have planned together? Tune in next time to find out!

Meet the Characters
DEVON ADAMS
Devon's Scenes
1.) WE SHALL BE MONSTERS
2.) TAKE A CHANCE AT LOVE
3.) THE HUMAN CONDITION
4.) E-MAIL MY HEART
5.) YOU'RE JUST TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE
6.) INDOCTRINATED HEARTS ARE WRAPPED IN FEAR AND HATRED
7.) THERE'S ALWAYS TOMORROW
8.) TIME IS ALWAYS AGAINST US
Act 2
9.) FOR THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY’VE DONE
10.) THE MONSTERS NEXT DOOR
11.) I WALK WITH EACH OF YOU
Devon Adams is one of "4/20/99"'s most likeable characters. While partially staying true to the authenticity of Devon, (a member of Dylan's friend group, Zach Heckler's girlfriend, friend of Rachel Scott, and being the youngest of the posse), we have provided our own unique interpretation of Devon. Our token grunge character, best friend of Robyn Anderson, secret-lover of 'The Backstreet Boys' and 1/2 of our comedic relief duo. The quality of Devon's character helps to humanize certain aspects of our script. Throughout the show, we watch Devon's journey of causing some lighthearted chaos to lending a hand with Robyn's love problems. The reckless yet loveable teen is surely to be a favorite. Post-Massacre, we see Devon beginning to rely on Patti Nielson and Susan Dewitt for their shared grief, as Robyn is wrapped up in legal battles. Expressing that at times, even the brightest characters can suffer the most.
"God, you are so lucky that you have me to corrupt you… I remember when I met you, you were the biggest NSYNC fan I’d ever met." - Devon Adams, Act 1 Scene 4, 'Take A Chance at Love'
Nina Andrea will portray the role of 'Devon Adams' for every performance.

No Easy Answers - The Truth Behind Death at Columbine
Amigos. Pessoas próximas a você.
Duas crianças que me viram lá disseram que eu deveria me levantar e falar.
Eu apenas me deixei ir.
Eu me vi conversando com alguns repórteres naqueles primeiros dias.
Eu disse a eles a verdade; eu não me censurei.

Picture This! is a live comedy show with stand-ups performing while they are drawn live by some of the best animators, cartoonists, and other artists in Hollywood, CA, SF, NYC and Portland. Picture This! has also debuted in Toronto, New Zealand and Australia! The comedians don’t know what the animators are drawing and the animators don’t know how the comedians will react. It may be weird. It may different. But it will be FUNNY! “This is a super cool show, I’m proud to be a part of it!“ - Jay Larson ”Brandie Posey & Sam Varela have something very cool going on here…the results are organic, highly entertaining and often times hilarious.” - The Interrobang “It’s a deceptively simple idea…a good exercise for the performers to keep their improv instincts sharp and it’s good entertainment watching funny people goof off.” - Portland Mercury “If you like animated comedies, how about animated stand-up comedy?… It’s just like having your portrait drawn at a fair, only instead of mildly insulting caricatures, you get to see one-of-a-kind depictions of what’s going on inside funny people’s heads.” - Vulture “The amicable marriage of sight, sound and more sight…each [artist and comedian] performing their due diligence to visualize this crazy thing called funny.” - Spinning Platters “The dynamic between comedian and illustrator can be push and pull, but when it works, they’re ultimately moving in the same direction.” - The Comic’s Comic “Often, the drawings are just as funny as the standup, enhancing and occasionally stealing the show.. A comedian might have a prepared set that gets thrown totally into a tangent when the illustrator adds their own input or sketches a crude figure that takes the joke to the next level. There’s also a high potential for verbal vs. visual banter.” - LAist “An inherent irony existed in the disparity between two disciplines identified by the term “comic” - Spinning Platters “Our animators are joke-tellers, too, they just process the same bits visually versus verbally, it’s always so cool to see your bit from a different angle you hadn’t thought to explore! I always feel like I’m dealing with the most talented heckler in the room on the show – once you surrender yourself to the idea that you’ll never be as dynamic.” - Brandie Posey “The show is growing fast. Comedians perform while comedy’s best illustrators create masterpieces based on what they’re hearing on stage, live. You get to watch the process and it’s a really fun time.” - The Interrobang, Top Five Shows Out of Towners Need to See “Stand-up comedy typically hinges on performers maintaining total power and control. Yet these shows put a premium on experimentation and vulnerability, humanizing the comics in the process.” - LA Weekly

Carter Jr. shines as Bulls fall to Nuggets in OT thriller, 108-107
The Bulls Wednesday in the end lost sight of one of the Nuggets, Paul Millsap scoring a putback with a tenth of a second left in overtime for a 108-107 victory.  It ended a golden opportunity for redemption after the debilitating defeat against Golden State Monday. But perhaps more importantly, and certainly for the future, the Bulls discovered a nugget in their midst, the most precious of gems, a potential young star.
Rookie Wendell Carter Jr. holding off MVP candidate Nikola Jokic had 25 points, eight rebounds with six offensive, five assists and three blocks in not only one of the top rookie performances of the season, but one of the best big man rookie performances in franchise history.
Carter also made a pair of three pointers, hit two pressure free throws in overtime for a lead with 2:30 left and led the team in scoring in the fourth quarter of regulation. Carter was flying across the lane for blocks in one of the team's best defensive games and forcing the taller, broader and heavier Jokic into nine for 20 shooting and crucial misses at the end of regulation and overtime.
Carter chased Jokic into missing a short hook in the lane with 27.5 seconds left in regulation in a 98-98 game. It gave the Bulls a chance at what could have been a winning shot. Zach LaVine with a game high 28 points dribbled down the clock for the shot after making three remarkable shots minutes earlier to get the Bulls a 98-92 lead with 2:32 left. But LaVine going up for a shot was stripped of the ball by Millsap. Carter got to the loose ball in a game the Bulls were diving all over and tapped it to LaVine. Jokic then blocked LaVine's driving attempt out of bounds. But the Bulls after a referee review had just a second on the shot clock and a Justin Holiday jumper was blocked.
Denver got Malik Beasley open on a backdoor pass with 3.1 seconds left in regulation. But the ball went off Denver. The Bulls, however, had no timeout remaining and had to go full court. Jabari Parker's running 30 footer came up short.
Then in the overtime after a pair of Jokic threes got Denver going, a Holiday three gave the Bulls a 107-106 lead with 1:26 left. Then Carter was strong against Jokic again. Denver for the ball with 3.5 seconds in overtime trailing by one. Jokic's 15 footer from the left wing went long off the rim to the right side. Millsap bulldozed the thinner Holiday out of the way to put in the winner. With a tenth of a second a team can only score on a tapin and the Bulls had little chance.
Tumblr media
"We had the win," lamented LaVine. "We just have to learn how to win. We brought it all the way down to the wire. It was a bounce back on how to fight. Still sucks because you play such a good game, you want that result. Wendell, he's going to be in the same position (as Jokic) one day. They are going to be battling each other as the top big dudes in the league one day. He's getting better and better. We're eight games in now. I want to see what he looks like at 80; it's going to be nice."
The final result, of course, was discouraging as the Bulls dropped to 2-6 and play Indiana in the United Center Friday. But it was encouraging the way the players responded from the historic beating against the Warriors Monday when they gave up 92 first half points. The Nuggets are the only team to beat the Warriors this season and came in averaging 114 per game. They were seven of 26 on threes and scored 98 points in regulation.
"I said we were going to learn a lot about ourselves with how we came out of the locker room," said Bulls coach Fred Hoiberg. "The guys were focused and responded and the effort, if we play like that we will be fine."
If Carter plays like that, and it was his third consecutive game scoring in double figures averaging 17.7 points and 8.3 rounds in that stretch, the Bulls may well have some front line gold once Lauri Markkanen returns from injury.
"Wendell was phenomenal. You can see it. His confidence is growing every time he steps on the floor."
- Coach Fred Hoiberg about WCJ's game against Denver
"My teammates are having more faith in me, hitting me when I'm open so I can knock down shots, especially in the post," said Carter. "I feel I am a really good post player. My teammates are starting to trust me more and we're getting a feel for one another. I try to go out and play hard. That's the way I try to lead. As a rookie, I try to do all the little things, do whatever coach asks me to do.
"With players out, I feel I've had to come in and do a lot of things a lot of rookies don't have to do for their team right now," Carter acknowledged. "Not that I appreciate (the injuries), but I am blessed to be in that position where I can grow faster to help the team later when I am in the last few seconds on the clock (I will have) been in that position before."
Carter was unexpectedly moved into the starting lineup to open the season with Robin Lopez slow to start preseason and the team committing to young players. Carter's welcome to the NBA was games against All Stars Joel Embiid, Andre Drummond and DeAndre Jordan. Carter, not surprisingly, played cautiously without much offensive aggression the first week. But he seemed to find some assurance with a double/double in Saturday's win back in his native Atlanta. Carter stood out in the calamity that was Golden State Monday with 18 points, and sidled up next to LaVine Wednesday for scoring support that came about as close to a win as possible.
"Wendell was phenomenal," agreed Hoiberg. "You can see it. His confidence is growing every time he steps on the floor."
Heck, he may already be one of the top centers in franchise history and perhaps the most versatile. Hall of Famer Artis Gilmore generally is considered the best, but came to the Bulls later in his career and was a power player. Joakim Noah was a Defensive Player of the Year, but lacked offense. Bill Cartwright and Pau Gasol came late in their careers. Tom Boerwinkle was a facilitator. Tyson Chandler and Eddy Curry? Oh, well. And imagine when Carter hits 20 next season.
Tumblr media
Carter plays with an unusual mask of solemnity, mixed concentration and determination that rarely breaks character. Though he did exchange a playful glare with a heckler after making those late free throws.
I know; who comes to root for Denver?
Carter plays with a maturity and fundamental edge that belies his age. Though in post game interviews he is quick to smile and joke in a relaxed manner, a hard working competitor and team player who seems a locker room favorite. The way he and LaVine have been performing, you can begin to imagine the possibilities once the injured players return.
And not leaving Holiday trying to fend off a guy 75 pounds heavier.
Holiday took blame for the missed boxout at the end.
"I didn't make the play I was supposed to make," he said. "That's on me. I just didn't make the right decision at the right time. I should have been a little more into his body. Obviously, if I were a little closer it would have been tougher for him to get it. Didn't matter who. I've got to make the right play to win the game."
He didn't need to. It wasn't truly his fault. There really wasn't much the Bulls could do with their power forwards out. Hoiberg was playing offense/defense and took out Parker, who got his first start and had a tough three for 10 for six points. Parker is a weak defender and was constantly being targeted by the Nuggets. So Hoiberg inserted rookie Chandler Hutchison, who had been a defensive agitator in the game, to try to upset the inbounds pass. Ryan Arcidiacono was in for Cameron Payne, the latter who had several costly turnovers down the stretch. Arcidiacono despite just three points had seven assists and three steals and his frequently overplaying the ball in help situations was a catalyst for a third quarter surge that erased a six-point Denver lead.
"Arch is a winner," said Hoiberg. "That's who he is; he is going to go out there and do whatever it takes. We love what he's giving us."
Tumblr media
So Holiday drew the tough assignment on Millsap with Carter occupied with Jokic. Perhaps Lopez could have come in. But he hadn't played the last four games and not Wednesday. That would be much to ask. Holiday is one of the team's better defenders, but Millsap proved both strong and savvy and had 19 points in the game. Jokic led Denver with 22. The Nuggets also dominated on the offensive boards with 17 and 23-8 in second chance points. If it were just 21-8, the Bulls would have had a victory.
"You can't blame anybody," said LaVine. "They made a good play and won the game; you've got to give them credit. Obviously, if we have all our guys back Justin wouldn't be guarding Paul Millsap. He'll be guarding a wing like Gary Harris or Beasley and Bobby (Portis) or Wendell would be guarding him and I don't think he gets that tip. But we have what we have right now and have to deal with that. I still think we should have gotten that win."
It seemed like the Bulls would the way the rookies were playing, especially Carter with Hutchison still hesitant offensively. Though Hutchison was especially active defensively. Antonio Blakeney has his three-point shooting eye. He had 15 points making all four of his threes and is 11 of 17 on threes the last four games.
The highly entertaining game had 16 lead changes and 11 ties with a whipsaw fourth quarter with five lead changes. The Bulls 9-0 run midway through the fourth quarter gave them a 94-88 lead with just over four minutes left on a pair of unlikely bail out scores by LaVine, teammates handing him the ball with five seconds or less on the shot clock and moving away. LaVine added another tough one with 2:32 left and it looked like the Bulls had come all the way back from that Monday defeat. But Zach didn't have enough magic this time, missing a 20 footer with 1:39 left and then that strip and block in the last seconds.
"Zach hit a couple of tough shots," noted Hoiberg. "We continued to put the ball in his hands and, unfortunately, those same shots didn't fall the last few minutes. But we have all the confidence in the world in Zach. He's done it in his career and earlier this year in a win. I thought that last one (with 13.6 seconds in overtime leading by one) was down. It was a great stroke, great shot, he created separation. Unfortunately, it didn't go."
And so went the Bulls with the loss, but perhaps finding much more along the way.

New Post has been published on https://www.stl.news/nick-foles-super-bowl-mvp-unlikely-folk-hero-philly/80374/
Nick Foles a Super Bowl MVP and unlikely folk hero in Philly
MINNEAPOLIS /February 4, 2018 (AP)(STL.News) — Cast aside once in Philadelphia, Nick Foles delivered the city its first Super Bowl title.
He outdueled the great Tom Brady to do it.
“Being a part of this and being drafted to Philadelphia, and being fortunate enough to come back and be a part of this team, to be a piece of this puzzle, I mean, it’s been a long time coming and I know there’s going to be a lot of celebrating tonight,” Foles said.
Foles, who took over when Carson Wentz injured his right knee in mid-December, matched Brady, the five-time champion and three-time MVP, big play for big play Sunday in leading the Eagles past the New England Patriots 41-33 .
After an unusually slow start, Brady led the favored Patriots to scores on five of six possessions, and Foles kept right on coming, executing coach Doug Pederson’s aggressive calls.
“I wasn’t worrying about the scoreboard, I wasn’t worrying about the time, I was just playing ball,” Foles said. “I think sometimes you start worrying about that too much, it starts creeping in your brain. I was just playing, whatever play Doug called, I was just going to go out there and rip it.”
After watching Brady put the Patriots ahead 33-32 with 9:22 left, Foles drove the Eagles 75 yards in 14 plays, hitting tight end Zach Ertz from 11 yards on third-and-7 for the go-ahead TD with 2:21 left.
That drive lasted a tick more than seven minutes and kept Brady cooling his cleats on the sideline while allowing the Eagles’ exhausted defenders to catch their collective breath in a game that featured 1,151 total yards, the most in any NFL game in the Super Bowl era.
That meant the world when Brady got the ball back and Brandon Graham swept in and jarred the ball loose for the game’s lone sack. Derek Barnett smothered it at the 31 with just over two minutes remaining, and Jake Elliott’s 46-yard field goal, the longest in a Super Bowl by a rookie, made it an eight-point cushion.
It also gave Brady just a minute to work his magic.
He started at his 9 with 58 seconds remaining and drove the Patriots to midfield before time ran out on New England as a desperation pass fell in the end zone.
Foles searched out Brady, but never did find him in all the chaos and confetti.
“I didn’t get to see Tom. I was looking for Tom. It got pretty crazy really fast,” Foles said. “I mean, he’s one of the greatest of all time. He’s been unbelievable. He was unbelievable tonight. I can’t say enough about him.”
Brady threw for more yards — a playoff career-high 505 to Foles’ 373 — but Foles matched Brady’s three touchdown tosses and even caught another .
He hauled in tight end Trey Burton’s toss from the 1 that gave Philadelphia a 22-12 halftime edge and made him the first player in Super Bowl history to be on both ends of a touchdown pass in the same game.
Brady nearly beat him to it.
Although wide open, the ambling Brady couldn’t quite haul in receiver Danny Amendola’s high pass for what would have been a nifty over-the-shoulder reception which might have gone all 35 yards for the score.
That brought to mind Gisele Bundchen’s famous dig after one of Brady’s two losses to Eli Manning and the Giants in the Super Bowl, when his supermodel wife responded to hecklers by complaining about the Patriots’ many dropped passes that day.
“You’ve to catch the ball when you’re supposed to catch the ball,” she fumed. “My husband cannot … throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time.”
Nor could he haul in Amendola’s throw early in the second quarter with New England trailing 9-3.
Foles had never caught a pass in the NFL before his TD grab.
His only interception was a fluke, but it did help Brady and the Patriots staunch an early stumble to stay in it until the very end.
Foles was 28 of 43 and wasn’t sacked. Brady was 28 of 48, and while he didn’t throw any interceptions, his only sack was a doozy.
A third-round pick by former Eagles coach Andy Reid in 2012, Foles had tremendous success as a starter under Chip Kelly his sophomore season. He threw 29 TDs and two picks in 11 starts, including playoffs in 2013. Foles posted a passer rating of 119.2, third-highest in league history. He tied an NFL record with seven TD passes in a game at Oakland in November 2013 and won an offensive MVP award at a Pro Bowl.
But Foles was traded to St. Louis for Sam Bradford in March 2015. He lost his starting job to Case Keenum and asked for his release after Jared Goff was drafted No. 1 overall when the Rams relocated to Los Angeles. Foles even considered hanging up his cleats before Reid persuaded him to go to Kansas City to be Alex Smith’s backup.
“As people we deal with struggles and that was a moment in my life where I thought about it, I prayed about it,” Foles said of quitting. “And I’m grateful that I made a decision to come back and play.”
So is Philadelphia, where Foles returned after one season with the Chiefs, signing a two-year, $12 million deal to provide insurance behind Wentz.
Now he’s a folk hero for a franchise that had gone 0 for 2 in Super Bowls, and for a legion of fans who were rooting for anybody other than the Patriots.
“Just to be in this moment,” Foles said, shaking his head. “Unbelievable.”

No Easy Answers - The Truth Behind Death at Columbine
Tentamos manter a esperança.
"Ei", disse ela quando me viu.
Então começamos a debater casualmente o assunto.
Eu sei disso no meu coração. Eu conheço a minha. Rachel balançou a cabeça.
Rachel balançou a cabeça negativamente.
Ela apenas sorriu.
Isso me surpreendeu.
Ele me perguntou tantas vezes.
"Você vai queimar no inferno", um deles me disse.
Fiquei chocado demais. Afastei-me deles e sentei-me com Steve e Doug.
A irmã de Rachel fez uma recriação exata da dança cristã que Rachel havia realizado no show de talentos no ano anterior, acompanhada pela música "Watch the Lamb and Who Nailed Him There".
Desde então, Porter escreveu um livro chamado The Martyr's Torch: The Message of the Columbine Massacre (A Tocha dos Mártires: A Mensagem do Massacre de Columbine).
"Eu quero saber agora quem vai pegar a tocha", disse ele. "Deixe-me ver. Quem pegará a tocha de Rachel? Quem fará isso? Segure alto!"
Ela queria viver fiel a si mesma e ajudar outras pessoas a viverem fiéis a si mesmas.
Ele começou a chorar.

PICTURE THIS! is a new show from Brandie Posey & Sam Varela: two girls who want to push the boundaries of what a comedy show can be. Picture This! is a live comedy show with stand-ups performing while they are drawn live by some of the best animators, cartoonists, and other artists in Hollywood, CA, SF, NYC and Portland. Picture This! has also debuted in Toronto, New Zealand and Australia! The comedians don't know what the animators are drawing and the animators don't know how the comedians will react. It may be weird. It may different. But it will be FUNNY! “This is a super cool show, I’m proud to be a part of it!“ - Jay Larson ”Brandie Posey & Sam Varela have something very cool going on here…the results are organic, highly entertaining and often times hilarious.” - The Interrobang “It’s a deceptively simple idea...a good exercise for the performers to keep their improv instincts sharp and it's good entertainment watching funny people goof off.” - Portland Mercury “If you like animated comedies, how about animated stand-up comedy?… It’s just like having your portrait drawn at a fair, only instead of mildly insulting caricatures, you get to see one-of-a-kind depictions of what’s going on inside funny people’s heads.” - Vulture “The amicable marriage of sight, sound and more sight…each [artist and comedian] performing their due diligence to visualize this crazy thing called funny.” - Spinning Platters “The dynamic between comedian and illustrator can be push and pull, but when it works, they’re ultimately moving in the same direction.” - The Comic’s Comic “Often, the drawings are just as funny as the standup, enhancing and occasionally stealing the show..
