Jesus wants to protect our eternal souls from destruction. He is inviting us into His kingdom because He does not want us to be apart from Him forever. He is coming back soon to set up His earthly kingdom but the requirement is that we are sinless and perfect. This means we must be born again by receiving Christ into our hearts and we must claim Him as the substitute who already received the penalty of our sins and who has the right to now be Lord in our lives. It is true that He rose from the dead proving He is God and He is giving us the chance to believe and receive eternal life through belief in Him. Yes, God wants us to be reconciled to Him, so much so, that He came into the world in human form, the Son Jesus Christ, to die in our place. Please believe that Jesus is faithful and He will lead you to the truth and open your understanding of the truth as you open your heart to Him.
