it bothers me because I know people like her…

i went to a really competitive high school and when people were writing their core essays for college applications it’s kind of expected that you trauma dump a little and then say what you learned from it.

and this girl who always bragged so much about her grades and scores on the SATs and ACTs was complaining that she didn’t know what to write about… like she literally wished she had a more traumatic or deep story to use and she came across as like a little upset that her life wasn’t harder or “more interesting” or whatever

And what did she finally write about? She wrote about how it was really hard for her (an upper middle class white girl) to deal with the fact that her grandparents are a little racist… that was her challenge she overcame…. like girl wtf?!!!

i can't stop thinking about kipperlilly's jealously of riz and wondering why it bothers me so much, and really i think it's as simple as the fact that it's established that fantasy racism is a thing and goblin's have it hard and she's pulling such a classic white girl move of thinking she's the oppressed one!! ahhhhh
