Introduction to the protagonists
In my book I want two voices to tell the story, both will be a first person type of narrator.
Nik is the older of the two, being around twenty three years old. He is serious but that doesnt mean that he does not have emotions, he simply does not express them constantly, not even when he tells the story. He also speaks more formally.
Cal is much more young having fourteen years only. He is much more energetic and likes to learn about almost everything. He is also more melancholic when it comes to how he thinks.
They both come from powerful families, Nik being a prince from the kingdom of Irim and Cal is the successor to the throne of the Cubriko-Den empire.
About five or six years before the start of the book the ruler Veiret Den of the empire Cubriko died, that makes Cal (his son) the next emperor, but he doesnt want to. He has never liked the idea of being the head of state of a government that many would consider evil.
So he asks his friend Nik for help, to help him escape. He agrees only because of the rumors that they were going to dethrone Cal by the force and put his uncle in his place, so he abandons everything to go help his friend, and he was successful. The Cubriko-Den empire has a rule that they can only crown someone when the death of the former ruler is confirmed and knowing that Cal escaped they cant do nothing apart of looking for him.
I dont have any image of how they look because i want the reader to make their own image of them, i can only give certain descriptions like: Cal have red hair and Nik is tall.

In the world there's at least two principal kinds of transportation methods.
The first being big ships that use nuclear power, a fuel made with sulfuric acid or use wind power with huge turbines (maybe a combination). This big ships are more like the classic futuristic spacecrafts and they have a lot of versatility being capable of going under the clouds and almost to the open space.
The second type and the most common ships would be the sailboats made for the skies or with the common name furrowers. This boats can reach big sizes but they are used way more by the common people, it's like having a car nowadays. If you wanted to go unnoticed, using a furrower would be your best idea of how many there are.
I will not explain in detail how they stay in the air, only that they use a special engine.
If i knew how to draw properly i would put a sketch but at least the furrowers are like identical to the ones we use, maybe they have more space in the deck.

A map of nations
Tumblr media
Hello again, i wanted to share the map i´ve drawn to guide myself in the world im creating.
The nations in yellow are in the Central Union, the purple ones are kingdoms and nations that arent relevant for the story for now, the nations with a unique color are the ones that have relevancy and the places with a green a bit yellow and desaturated color are the people that havent been recognized at all or arent big enough to be so important.
In this map we can see some capitals, the districts and autonomous regions with territorial disputes. Remember that this is in the clouds so you cant use all you have, the natios are mostly empty but that is the territory they claim.
The names can be changed in a future and this arent all the nations that exist in this world, just the relevants for now and if you see theres a circle, thats because this is the place with more nations in the planet so its more like the central part.
Yes, its in spanish but i guess you can see that republica its republic and imperio its empire, autocracia its autocracy and reino its kingdom, you get the idea.

The first important thing is that this Venus isnt like the Venus you known at all, so for example the winds in this planet can reach easily 360km/h (220mph) but in this book is rare to find winds so powerful, but they exist, mostly the winds are calm and serene.
Another example is that the Skadi Mons, the higher point in the surface of Venus only reach like 10km high (6.21 miles) and the livable part of the atsmosphere is between 50km and 65km (31 and 40 miles) but in my book is relatively easy to find mountain peaks above some clouds, even most of the capitals of the kingdoms and important cities and ports are in these peaks.
So my Venus keeps important things like the sulfuric aspect of the planet but changes other things. You can say this is the Venus from another universe and had the touch from an advanced human civilization that changed it to be more suitable for humans.
