Hello! I have been thinking a lot about how i want to proceed going forward with my transition into being a full-time freelance artist. I'm really interested in keeping up with my patreon. I'm in the brainstorming phase of everything but i'd love to hear your thoughts :)! Here are some tiers I had in mind, but please let me know if there's other type of content that would you like

Bioluminescence Oil, 18 x 24 in, 2015, First in the Bioluminescence series. The light of life and the natural world. In all the vastness of space, as of yet, we know of only one planet that supports life. At least within some great distance from here, life is rare. Each organism being the exquisite and detailed product of billions of years of evolution, life is precious. This point of light and inspiration stands in contrast to the lanterns and lights that are historically thought to be sources of illumination but are now dimmed; mythologies and superstitions humans have created as we struggled in the dark of ignorance to understand our world. But the process of science has revealed a luminous, living planet, more amazing than we could have ever imagined. Where the intricacies of biology are miracles of evolution and our consciousness is a gift of natural processes that allow us to experience what it is to be alive. I have been let go of my part time job due to lack of funding for the arts, so I’m being forced to solely rely on my own art for revenue, which unfortunately is not something I can afford to do right now. (Sold) A recreation of one of my first paintings, from back in late 2018. I had painted the original as an assignment and being early in my transition and HRT journey, I had wanted to make a piece about toxic masculinity and how I was repressing my emotions in order to pass as male. I’ve been wanting to recreate it for a while, now that I have a better grasp of what I want to do with my art, and who I am as a person.

I want to wish you all a happy transgender day of visibility today

A lot of my art has become not only a celebration of my trans body but an act of protest through my trans body, a fight for visibility within the art world for bodies like mine, who don’t fit into oppressive gender norms. With the increasing anti-trans and anti-2SLGBTQIA+ bills and legislations happening in the past few years, it’s important for me to use what small platform or voice I have in the art community to advocate for my trans peers and their voices, as my sole experience can never represent the whole of this incredibly diverse and vibrant community. Queer and trans art have been erased from our art history for too long.

I want to thank everybody who has supported me in my art career, your support means everything

A stop in time, an abstract moment; dialogue between myself and the entity that envelops me. An entity that encompasses me into a relationship so personal, so inherent to my self, to my existence, that I’ve lost any belonging to. My body, a complex intersectional prison; a sweet embrace, undefinable relationship. Marked by pain, marked by tenderness, by love, modulated and transformed. My body, just for a moment in time, would you lie with me?
