the man who owns and runs the thai restaurant in my town knows me by name. he is one of the kindest and most thoughtful men i know. i started ordering from his place back in january, which was when i got my fibromyalgia diagnosis. back then i was using a walker, had limited mobility in my entire body but especially my hands, and was very visibly in pain. i always ordered the same thing: yellow curry with no meat, potatoes and carrots only (i have texture and other dietary issues). he always made it a point to make sure i could get out the door and carry the food safely. he had his workers package the food so that it was easier for me to open. as i kept coming back and i told him a little bit about my health status, he would always encourage me to keep going. he told me about how the spices he used were good for inflammation and began to edit the recipe just for me so that spices that were even better for fighting inflammation were used. he’d give me extra portions and despite the fact that i would tip every time, i realized later that he never charged my card for them. as time went on and my condition began to get better, he would make encouraging remarks and tell me how happy he was for me. the day i came in without my walker, he practically jumped for joy, and despite my insistence, he gave me my meal for free that day. i continue to make progress with my conditions and i continue to go to the thai place. this man who does not know me personally and who i hardly know anything about is one of my favorite people. it’s interactions with humans like these that make loving life easier. and his curry really does help my chronic condition. it’s comfort food taken to the next level.

Elyon remained calm as she listened to Mika and thought of her next action if any move was required. The whole situation being quite stressfull and odd, for the vampire was actually a peacefull one. “ This sounds pretty naive, given that your very own kind depends on others’ blood.” She said before adding “But i see your point, stealing is less violent than preying on someone after all.”

The Huntress tilted her head to the side as she took a little hesitant step forward, not wanting to speak too loudly and attract attention to the storage room supposedly deserted yet occupied by both blondes. She nodded in understanding “ I see , does that mean you only attack in counter measures?” Maybe he was the type to attack only if threatened, like her.

“ Well, troubles we have some, mostly me. You see, I can’t really allow an unidentified vampire running around freely, even if you only steal blood packs.” She had no guarentees that he wouldn’t attack anyone or wasn’t a unidentified target.

Eyebrows rising in surprise, Elyon replied slightly perplexed but pretty bluntly “That’s weird from a vampire.” The huntress frowned upon noticing what he was attempting to do. “ Even weirder to see you trying to run away from an injured.” though she had mostly recovered and in a sense she probably could handle him long enough to have a actual hunter deal with him.

“Just because I am a vampire, doesn’t mean that I like this race, it’s the opposite in fact.” It wasn’t like he had wanted to become a vampire after all. He wasn’t born as one, he was made one against his will. Why did everyone always think that as soon as you are turned you think vampires are the greatest?

“I can do as I please. And I already told you but I am not interested in fighting you.” Further closing in on the window, he already brushed it with his back. “But if you attack me I won’t have a choice but to defeat you for now..” Reaching behind him, Mika quickly opened the window, his gaze never leaving Elyon out of sight.

“Isn’t it better to have a vampire steal blood packs rather than killing humans for their blood? Because I think that it’s the best method that I can choose..” Aside from death that was but as long as Yuu could be threatened by a filfthy vampire, the blonde couldn’t leave this world yyet.

It’s Ann Elizabeth Resno. I hate doing things like this, but I’ve fallen on some hard times. I am homeless and I have spent a great amount of time debating whether to post this.

Since early December, I have been hopping from shelter to shelter. It has been hard not having a stable place to live. I’m currently waiting for a safe bed to open up so I can go there.

My bills are piling up, they cut my disability check down to $500 and I use that for food, medical supplies I need, and the little I have left goes to bills. It’s not nearly enough to keep my phone service going. Furthermore, I am unable to make the minimum payment on my credit card.

Elyon took a measured step back upon seing closely the intruder. He surelly was a vampire, no normal humans had reasons to steal a blood pack.Her instinct as a hunter was to attack but she was weaponless because the hospital was suposedly safe.

Ocean colored hues narrowed at the stranger as Elyon evaluated her options. She decided to remain on guard and observe given the non hostil behavior of the vampire if anything he seemed to be the one panicking here. A low sigh escaped her lips as she decided to speak. “ No need to explain, given what you said, you’re stealing blood packs so you don’t have to feed on humans, right?” She said distantly after all he could have aimed for any injured one in the hospital and not for some blood bags.

She added on a more serious tone “Following the ‘not wanting to hurt anyone’ idea, what do you intend to do now that you’re caught stealing? On my stand point even if you act like a pacifist you still remain a threat. Even so i don’t particularily intend to fight either.” It all depended on wether he had hidden intentions or not.

Listening closely, Mika made sure not to let her out of his sight, she might want to attack him after all. Thinking for a moment, the vampire finally answered, “I’d rather die than hurt anyone..” He would have already been dead if he didn’t have to make sure that his family was safe from the vampires.

Putting the blood bag he was holding in the bagpack he had brought with him, he continued, “I wouldn’t call myself a pacifist but I do not want to hurt others for my sake.” The only reason to hurt someone was if they were being a threat to his family or if he himself was being attacked, Mikaela needed to survive to protect Yuu.

“If you do not wish to fight then I don’t either. I simply want to leave this place without trouble.” And with the blood packs but he figured mentioning this again wouldn’t be too good of an idea. The blonde quickly glanced in his bag,what he had been able to gather this far was enough to get through another week, even more if he was canny.

“So, you are a hunter then? Hmpf.. Still better than a vampire I’d say..” Slowly getting closer to the window behind him, Mika made sure that Elyon wasn’t coming near.
