I just... uhhhhh, have not recovered, there's already so many great takes out there (great job beauyashas), but I just like that Yasha was struggling not to say I love you when she was talking about why she bought the divination cream but ended up doing it anyway when she talked about Kamordah. Also Beau you say you don't know how to do romance but that was the most romantic date I think I have ever seen, 😭

It wasn't a long moment but when Beau put her head on Yasha's shoulders it probably felt like, for just a split second, they managed to get some sort of respite. Beau almost died at the hands of her friend (I know it's debatable but a lot of them still feel Molly is in there) but despite that she found this tender moment (well technically the moment found them), where she felt like she could be safe in the shoulders of a woman who's willing to carry her whenever she ask and rest. These two women have been through a lot and I think a lot of us want those small moments for them because for Beau and Yasha those moments don't come easy. As they arrive at a place where their healing journeys began, I wonder what kind of moments might come from having just a sliver of free time. In the shores of Nicodranas where both these women found solace and saw each other as someone that could be. I personally cannot wait to see.

I am still stuck on that showdown with Lucien.
It’s gotta be rough for Beau right now, right?
Six weeks into meeting the strangers she’s come to know as family, one of them dies for her. Not even one she semi-got along with. It’s overwhelming. It changes her view of him entirely. She carries a reminder of him on her body, but she never really knows how to accept that it happened or how to repay it except to be the one who makes the tough calls - the one who takes the hits if they need to be taken, just like he did for her and for all of them.
It’s worked out for her so far.
She can accept that they want her around, start looking towards what comes next. What happens if she survives, if that debt never truly needs repayment. Who might she be when it’s all said and done?
And then the guy who died for her turns up again, only it’s not really him. Mostly. They can see him, hidden in mannerisms and charm, and Beau reverts in response to the version of herself that he knew. Defensive, closed off, giving him nothing at all. Arm’s length in a way that would fool nobody who knew her.
Except this time? He reacts the way she expects. He makes no secret of the fact he doesn’t like her, which is what the other one said too but then, you know, he got himself killed helping her.
But this one means it. And when she’s frozen to the side of a dragon’s head and looking down at them all, mangled and bleeding, she sees him put his swords up and turn away. She might have misread it, except that Fjord repeats what was said and he stands by it. She’s truly worthless to him.
So now they’ve got a crest to snatch and a risky play needs to be made because the plan is falling apart by the second. Did you see her face when she decided to drop in between Cree and Lucien? Grim determination, flat expression, getting in every hit she can before she’s hauled up by the throat. All pretense is removed. Here they are.
It’s clear to everyone else, when the blood starts to pour from Beau’s face, that there is no shred of Molly’s essence left inside of this body. No part of him would do this to someone he died for, someone he did care about. That capability was never in him.
But to Beau, I wonder if it felt correct. She’s never been able to grapple with the kindness, but this? This makes so much more sense. There’s room in that glare he’s giving her, all the blank expanse Beau needs to project that long-held, whispered belief that she hadn’t been worth dying for - that wherever Molly was, he regretted it.
She doesn’t call out, just grips his arm and stares him down and waits.
And then Yasha, who sees this happen like something straight from a nightmare, is reeling.
“When I left, they were executing her…I just ran because I am a coward.”
Lucien is there, this creature with her best friend’s face, and there is something coming full circle here but it isn’t Beau’s mistaken sense of debt.
It’s Yasha’s will. She doesn’t run again. Zuala died at the hands of people Yasha once considered family, and now Beau is here and it’s a sickening reenactment because someone else once wore that skin and they were everything to her and they’re gone - Yasha knows that now.
And this time she acts, snatches her second love from a death she’s staring unflinchingly in the face - and in closing her own loop, Yasha pulls Beau free from the one she’s sinking into.
And over the wind in her ears as she takes Beau far away to safety, her faint voice: “thank you.”

Where to begin, ahem.. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!! I'm really just here to say that all the unknown things at this point are the things that make me anxious and nervous, and that's ok, no story doesn't have ups and downs (this is me convincing myself this is ok). Anything can happen and things are ramping up, the stakes are high and the emotions will start to go up as we get closer and closer to Aeor. I focus a lot on Beau and Yasha because they are characters that I have grown to like and love so I will echo Veth's words to those of you, like me, who are rolling in a ball of angst at the moment (I need to justify that I'm ok), "it's ok to have hope", for the next week or whatever happens next, never forget that. This could be the push they need to take the next steps on their relationship, remember what happened to Fjord and Jester, this could be that moment for them (yup totally ok). It's crazy I know haha but irregardless of my angst, I can't wait till next thursday.

I was thinking the same thing regarding Beau and Yasha and their awkwardness that permeates their moments. For instance, they settled for a handshake instead of something more intimate, like a hug. I feel like 90% of their physical contact being due to them fighting each other, and every time it happening being done unwillingly, is enough to give them pause; they hurt each other every time it happened. And Beau is so scared of hurting her again, as that is the one thing she hates more than anything now. You could see it on her face in the times where she landed a punch, it breaks her heart every time. Same with Yasha, especially when she stabbed Beau in the chest. That moment alone is on her mind every single day. The best she can do is carry Beau, or tuck her in when she's starfished in the dome. When you think about it like that, it no longer becomes awkward. It becomes heartrending. And the constant interruptions just make it worse. Beau wants to do this "the right way" and yet her chances keep slipping away the more time goes on. Maybe, HOPEFULLY, when they do have their tower date, it will start to get easier. Hopefully.
I'm glad I'm not the only one to feel this, thank you :) I was of two minds of what I wanted to convey one was with regards to Yasha (especially in regards to that moment with the handshake and the ensuing moment) and the other was this with Beau. I agree, first steps are hard to take especially those who have had bad experiences when it comes to relationships (or with any bad experiences really), so I completely understand those trepidations. When it comes to Beau and Yasha, I try not focus on what could be because I had a headcanon of where they would be after the letter and they deviated and tore down all the expectations that I had, so now I just enjoy their slow but progressing growth into their new and blossoming relationship.

Last episode only confirms to me how very soft Beau is as a person. I will be honest to you all, I love Yasha, love her to death, her aesthetic as a soft barbarian but metal af who can definitely break me in twine if she we're inclined to, but Beau you guys, behind that asshole facade is an inquisitive and deeply caring person. I go back to the words she said to Fjord about her and Yasha having physical contact with each other through combat and you guys, that breaks my heart. This establishes a trend to me why I often feel Beau and Yasha's conversations end in such awkward moments, it's probably because instead of doing those awkward things they wanted to do something requiring physical contact but then they have this sudden realization of all those totally fucked up close up encounters they had and then they retract in their awkward bubble. Beau wants a fresh start because she is still reminded of those terrifying moments but despite that she believes (they both do) that things will be better this time. She wants a fresh start with the Yasha that she sees now, no longer orphanmaker (still pretty cool moniker though) just simply Yasha "Bone Harp Artist, Greatsword Snowboarder, Eater of Bugs and Collector of Beau-tiful Things" Nydoorin.

Do you know what really gets me everytime I watch the date scene? It's the joy and happiness that radiates between Beau and Yasha at that moment. I see a lot of smiles and a lot of joy from their eyes everytime I watch it. I keep imagining it being animated and seeing two characters who have gone through so much in such a desolate place, just having a moment of pure love and adoration. Can y'all believe we got that scene at the start of the session? and it wasn't even the date itself, it was just two people acknowledging their feelings for one another in the most awkward yet adorable way they know how. I absolutely love it!!!!

I wanna rewind a little bit and go back to ep. 14. Beau asked Caleb to get her some throwing stars. Yasha, unbeknownst to Beau, paying attention (watching as you will) goes with the group to Pumat's and you know what she does?? She asks Pumat if he has any throwing stars in the most Yasha way possible, unprompted by anyone. Now I don't know for sure if she did that out of curiosity (I mean it could be) but the fact of the matter is when Yasha tells Beau, "I've seen you, I've see you a lot". She says that with intent and purpose, she says that with understanding and respect and one day she will say those same words with confidence in her face, to a woman who has taken her by surprise, Expositor Beaurgard Lionett

There's not a day that goes by that I don't think about ep. 106, the flight was magical, and the amount of things that went right on that one scene alone will keep me going until Beau and Yasha finally get that one on one time to discuss the letter.

I going through a beauyasha retrospective for the moment (probably because of the recent developments by Fjord and Jester in the recent episode). It's pretty cool that we get relationships that reflect how real life goes. I've seen a lot of romance in media depicted where a checklist must be met before both people can be together and I think it's about time to throw away that idealized version. We are about to go to ep 119 of the show and episode 19 is when Beau and Yasha had their first official watch together, it's important to see the journey they have taken, the ups and downs, and how shit happens but the little things (the glances, the flirting, the gentle talks and the willingness to see the other person as they are and not what they should be - that last part maybe just me imparting my own take on it) if you miss it create something there that wasn't there before. I want to end this retrospective with some nuggets, I want you all to remember the time when Beau took a small gesture Yasha made on an earlier episode, made a note of it and brought it back because she wanted to talk to her about it (that led to the letter). Beau's attention to detail with regards to Yasha has been very spot on, she doesn't forget things (because she writes them down), she's aware and really someone who takes that much notes about everything isn't someone to be brushed off, she has a plan and is starting to act on it, I can only imagine the things Beau writes about Yasha in that notebook of hers, remember that's her diary as well.

I know we get impatient sometimes between Beau and Yasha but I thought this episode was a small step forward. Beau is planning a surprise for Yasha (to what extent we don't know yet), from the way she was looking for flowers and the conversation with Caleb about having to change some aspects of the mansion. This aspect of Beau is suprising to me but in a very good way, she's putting a lot of thought into this grand gesture that I honestly cannot wait to see what it's going to be, any predictions on the matter are welcome.

Beauregard " I Just Need Someone to Hold" Lionett was on full display this episode. I really like how Beau and Yasha dynamics are starting to evolve and see glimpses of what they are going to be like together, I do have a sense that this whole Molly situation will bring them closer together.

Wow this episode is gonna fuck with all of them, the characters don't know if that is really Molly or not so a lot of things are going to be discussed, I especially see a conversation between Beau and Yasha to happen because the last time she visited the grave, she was devastated and this notches that up to 11, the themes of having a will that's not your own really runs deep in this campaign, I want to scream more but also want to collect my thoughts at the same time
