yk the funniest part about viggo surviving the volcano is that, realistically, even if he didn't land in the lava, the volcanic gasses should've killed him.

idk how long it takes (although i do believe it doesn't take too long if you're actually IN the volcano), but if he fell into a volcano, he should've at least gotten a concussion or something which made it hard for him to leave, THEN allowing him to die from poisoning.

The placement of Gothi's hut is so so funny

I mean, she's the tribe's elder, I get it. But here's the thing, she's practically the only healer on Berk, the one people go to when they're sick or injured. And considering they are vikings, from a tribe that loves to fight ‘a normal amount’ and had been battling dragons for three centuries, it means they'd be usually receiving pretty severe and life threatening injuries on a norm. Things like stab wounds, burns, amputation etc. Pretty much the type of injuries that count as a medical emergency.

And her hut, is like a freaking tower, built on top of a very high rock pillar formation on the island. This old woman, the only healer in the village, has her 'clinic' in the most nonsensical spot for the bleeding out, on-verge-of-death patients. They really couldn't have given her a hut that's on the ground and more easily accessible. No, on Berk, you'd be dying and you'll have to climb up a tower to get to the only healer

#especially before they had dragons like??? WHAT?? #in general gothi is the embodiment of making it difficult for you #she doesn't talk but writes with her staff IN SOME UNKNOWN LANGUAGE THAT NO ONE SPEAKS #gobber is set out to be the one most fluent in it and he CONSTANTLY MESSES UP THE TRANSLATION #IMAGINE #IMAGINE getting some recipe from her and first of all you can't read the ingredients and second of all #when gobber translates them you're not even 100% sure you have the right ones #and then there's the whole whacking with her staff part #which #do you think there's been vikings that came there with broken bones and left with broken bones and a concussion? gotta be right? #she has probably whacked people so hard they had to come back for a new potion #will always love that one episode where krogan's dragon flyer talks about having a very gentle healer and looking horrified #when the twins describe gothi #man offered them a job on the spot #thank goodness that she's awesome at her job and also a badass viking warrior #maybe that's why her other qualities are overlooked #OH OH OH #and she also talks smack about everyone #that woman writes things in the sand that are so foul the characters don't even want to say it out loud #love it #gothi #httyd
