mare: grand theft auto 💀🙏 any gta game she can get her hands on but it started with the chinatown wars on ds

cal: missed out on a proper childhood so is treating his inner child to fnaf for the first time and idk… something something about the story being an overarching narrative about a brother trying to pick up the remnants of his family through his grief… he says he doesnt get the lore butbhe kinda does. also had a goat simulator phase for the same reasons but minus the angst

maven: i would like to say some really cool psychological game but this mf would probs love playing chess against a cpu the most 💀 silent hill takes second place though (he’s obsessed with the idea of a purgatory of one’s own making… hmm… i wonder why 🤔)

evangeline: mario cart (she eats anyone who even THINKS of playing as peach)

elane: some sort of dating sim methinks… maybe like those ikemen games (let her be y/n)

ptolemus: fortnite for the dances.

kilorn: also fortnite but he has one-sided beef with ptolemus on there who keeps trying to add him. he also has the toph skin and keeps wiping the floor with his ass (ptolemus has the miles morales skin)

cameron: the attack on titan vr game where the world’s best comedy is originated from

gisa: what remains of edith finch. cursed family narrative goes hard with these folk.

shade: hes a legend of zelda girlie.

diana: she genuinely doesn’t play any game besides minecraft because she gets forced it by other people. but i know she’d love red dead i just don’t think she could be convinced into playing it (tragic)

iris: virgo versus the zodiac would speak to her, i feel. she has a secret weird side that only indie games could tease out of her.

wren: star stable!!! secret horse girl lore.

thomas: resident evil 4 because depending what you headcanon him as hes either feening for leon or ada or both.

coriane: definition of stardew valley girlie. but considering what she went through maybe yume nikki would be a game she keeps close to her heart (someone check up on her).

elara: if the sims 4 existed in the red queen verse it could have saved a lot of lives. maybe even her own.

sara: she wipes everyone in super smash bros you best believe it.

julian: castlevania: symphony of the night… mm the grip it has on this nerd loser… do not even breathe the name alucard around him he will give you the entire dracula lore starting with le fanu’s carmilla.

dane: detroit become human. played markus’ storyline and bro suddenly was made to govern a democratic republic for the people by the people.

Ok so Elara princess and Cori her appointed knight :D

Cori was chosen specifically by Elara. Elara had heard that a new girl had been brought into the ranks and when she went to go see who she was immediately impressed at Coriane's proficiency with a blade. To Elara, it looked as if Cori was dancing when she fought. (It also didn't hurt that Cori was handsome)

Initially Cori would be very professional with Elara. Very “this is my job and nothing more” yk? but as time goes on Cori starts going down the path of “i’m her protector because i LOVE her not just because it’s my duty”

That being said

Cori oblivious as hell😭

Lots of Elara flirting openly and Cori just thinking “how could she ever like me😞”

Def lots of moments of “can u come help me dress:)” and Cori mentally flipping out cause she wants her sb🤭

First time Elara saw Cori out of her armor she froze in place and just stared at her. Cori had to say her name multiple times before Elara snapped out of it (Cori still just like “wow she must have a lot on her mind to be so distracted :O”)

Cori also likes to try to maintain the “cool girl” act.

She’s so ~mysterious~ and ~hard to crack~ and then it takes Elara mentioning her training once to her and Cori is telling her about every single stance she knows and what led her to begin her training in intense detail.

(Also i’m a big fan of Cal being corny as hell and I like to think that he gets his cornball-ness from his mother, so Cori is also a major cornball)

The first time Elara kissed Cori was after Cori escorted her to her room after an event (not really very specific soz😭) Elara reached up and kissed Cori on the cheek as a goodnight🥹

For Cori it was pretty similar- she kissed Elara’s forehead after she had gotten her to bed.

So i’m obsessed with title/name usage to indicate closeness/severity. So like Cori ALWAYS refers to Elara as “Princess” or “Your Grace” BUT in their more intimate moments or if Cori is trying to get Elara to understand the severity of a situation she switches to her name.

One of Elara’s major pulls to Cori was that Cori saw her and cared for her beyond her position. Like i said previously, Cori’s duty to her went from simply being because she was assigned to protecting her to Cori being there because she cared for Elara personally.

At times if Elara had a nightmare she would ask Cori to just sit and hold her hand while she went back to sleep (this eventually turned into Cori getting into bed with her and then that turned into Cori just sleeping in Elara’s bed any chance she could)

Whenever it came time for Elara to begin thinking of marriage, Cori would watch all those bachelor's come and make a go at her hand and fantasize about being one of the prince's who was trying to whoo her (Prince!CoriSJFSDGKSG)

theyre the worst of the worst. SOMEONE canonically freaked out and committed an infanticide in order to send his texts through to her. and then SOMEONE was storing all said messages away in her little chamber of secrets to hoard and read together in the middle of the night. its so messy.

how well the red queen ships would fare in a long distance relationship:

marecal: absolutely terrible. mare gets insecure but doesn’t know how to communicate her fears of losing him and cal can never pick up on why she’s pissed off at him all the time. kilorn has to block them both for his mental happiness because mare keeps sending him edgy text messages and cal keeps ringing him up stressed out of his mind. when one flies down to see the other they are inseparable but arguing all the time and the goodbyes are always painfully drawn out and they’re both crying for the next three hours over it.

evane: evangeline will get a little jealous when she hears about a new friend of elane’s and elane will get FOMO when she hear about thing evangeline is doing without her but they communicate effectively and would spend a lot of dough visiting each other as much as they can even if its mot so reasonable. i think this is the couple that will be the least likely to ever do long distance because they literally cant be separated it would have to take a miracle.

sharley: they are pretty okay. they miss each other heaps and when they facetime it hits how far the other is and diana will stay up late at night sweating about not being around shade for too long but other than that they don’t get very jealous of people around them and are secure in their love.

kilorn x cameron: stable as hell. kilorn gets occasionally sad but both are so busy with their lives they can go two weeks without a text and then remember ‘oh shit havent called my gf/bf’ in a while and when they do its no big deal. kilorn texts cameron an ‘i miss you’ text and gets his response 8 hours later and its chill. and then they meet up and hang like they saw each other last tuesday. they dont want to be apart but they know its not gonna last forever.

thomaven: maven is absolutely terrible at it. thomas will go away and 72 hours later maven will show up at his front door with no warning.

gisa x shopgirl: probably the most stable. there could be sabotage ploy after sabotage ploy on this ship and they would still make it out the other end without breaking a sweat.
