francis he/him /// 5 finches, 6 fancy goldfish, 5 common goldfish, 2 dojo loaches, 5 axolotls, 1 betta, 2 cockatiels, 1 green cheek conure /// college student trying my best. please be kind, it’s not hard
i was approved to dedicate a month long school project to taming/training these guys. theyre doing so well after just a week of work! im very excited to see where they’ll be by the end of the month
dumpling, corduroy, and winnie died from the ich in march.
dewey is also gone. bacterial infection, march 11 2020. i shouldnt have waited to take him to the vet, i knew something was wrong. i will never forgive myself.
tsukki was the lone survivor, along with 2 of the dojo loaches. one of the loaches died mysteriously.
just thought i should update everyone if anyone cares. feel free to keep reblogging the old pictures and gifs of my passed babies. i want their joy to still be shared.
i could still use some advice on getting the cycle to behave in this tank. pls scroll a bit on my blog to find my post.
basically nitrites and ammonia are high, but the pH is normal (7.4) and the nitrates are also normal (20 ppm). so idk what to make of it. i’m dosing with prime so everyone’s safe.
his lil baboon orange butt has turned into a very lovely color change! tsukki is quite the stunner💕 i hope jyushi can grow up big and strong like him someday. ive had tsukki for about 5 years. he and dumpling are deeply attached to each other♥️
my sweetest little fish. i love him so very much.💕as i said in my update post i had to do surgery on this lil guys mouth. i cant really describe what his deformity was but it prevented him from getting anything but crumbs into his mouth. i cut the corners that collapsed in and he now has a workable lil beak. hes able to sift through sand, chew, and yawn. :) he reminds me of poncho, hes just so sweet.
her face tumor os staying small but her side tumor has grown with her. im not worried about it, shes a happy girl and loves life. ive had her for about 5 years now💕i love her to bits
i rehomed my entire community tank (the 30 long) in 2018 to a very sweet old man who has years of aquarium experience. i don’t get updates from him anymore but i know he loves all the kuhlis, otos, and cardinal tetras to death.
that being said i missed the kuhli loaches a Lot and after doing some research i discovered that dojo loaches are compatible w goldfish! so i got three. :)
meet dewey(grey) and milo(white)!!! they’re both male, and love each other a lot💕
i got milo at a pet supplies plus a while back and he was in pretty rough shape. theyd clipped his wings way too short and he was covered in shit. i got dewey recently from a local bird store after a playdate with milo and hes shy but is starting to come out of his shell.
milo’s not terribly bright but we love him. he uses his foot to preen dewey’s head.
