Prompt Request
Hello, my fellow Pitch Perfect/BeChloe lovers! I have a prompt request and am seeking your help with it.
Since just after Christmas, I’ve been going through something and didn’t have the energy to write or do much of anything else (depression with a side of anxiety sucks!). During that time, I had to deal with my mother and a beloved aunt passing away (there was a bunch of anxiousness involved with both, but that’s a story for another time). To help myself through the bad days, I got back to moving my earlier fics from FFN over to AO3. While doing so, I re-read each one and realized that as much fun as a multi-chapter fic was to write, I got the most joy from writing one-shots. There was something about telling an entire story in 2500 words (sometimes more) that I have been missing, so I’ve decided to do another challenge that will, once again, give me the joy writing had given me in the past (at least I hope it will).
After reading my A to Z BeChloe series, I’ve decided to do another series and am calling it the ABCs of BeChloe. It will be 26 one-shots where the titles will be a letter of the alphabet, going in order from A to B to C, etc. Here’s where you come in if you’re so inclined. Send me a letter prompt (it could be one word, a saying, a song, whatever), and I will write a BeChloe one-shot. It will definitely be BeChloe-centric, with a side of the Bellas and/or Staubrey, with whatever comes to mind once I see the prompt.
So, respond with a comment here, go to my ask box, or message me with your prompt, and I’ll do the rest. It will probably be a while before I start posting anything since I’m doing them alphabetically. I have a few ideas already, but I am looking forward to whatever prompts/ideas you come up with.
Thank you for your time and support. I appreciate and love you, awesome nerds!
~~ BeChloeIsLegit ~~
PS—There will be some angst, fluff, BeChloe children, etc., but no smut; I’m just not feeling it.

Read it to catch up on what's happening with Beca and Chloe. You'll be glad you did!
Chapter 10 is up!
Beca’s thoughts spiraled as she entered Baker Hall. She took the stairs, needing to move a bit more to process her thoughts. Kimmy Jin usually had friends in the dorm with her, especially on weekends. While Beca understood why they spoke Korean to each other, it made her feel self-conscious that they were talking about her. She wondered how long before Aubrey threw her out of the group for being arrested, forcing Beca to stay at Barden. Of course, her father had already rescinded his offer to pay for her to move to LA, so maybe getting kicked out of the group wouldn’t change anything. Still, she found the idea of not being a Barden Bella sadder than she would have expected.
After climbing about five flights, Beca walked into her dorm and was surprised to find the Bellas waiting for her. They all greeted her excitedly.
"What up, Shawshank?" asked Fat Amy.
"Did you get yourself a bitch?" asked Cynthia Rose.
"Did they spray you with a hose?" asked Fat Amy.
Lilly mumbled something. Beca thought she'd heard her say she'd done a turn at County. She thought it best she did not ask for details.
"You guys waited up for me?" Beca asked. She was touched.
"Of course, we waited up for you," said Chloe.
“They’ve been here for hours. It’s a real inconvenience, Beca,” said Kimmy Jin, glaring at her as she left the room.
Beca rolled her eyes. This was the second time she’d had anyone besides her father in the dorm.
Aubrey blew the pitch pipe. Everyone snapped to attention.
"I'm calling an emergency Bellas meeting," said Aubrey. Several of the Bellas groaned. Amy turned hers into a half-hearted "yay." "First up? Our score sheet revealed that The Sockapellas almost beat us. We need to bust our asses if we're going to make it to the Finals. And, Fat Amy, you need to do it exactly how we rehearsed it. Okay? No surprises."
"Or try a new approach…" said Beca.
"Enough with that, Beca."
"Wait, listen, the reason why we almost lost to sock puppets is that they took a risk. Being good isn't enough to win. We need to put ourselves out there, be different."
"Beca's right. The Trebles never sing the same song twice," said Cynthia Rose.
"The audience loved the Trebles. They tolerated us. Aubrey, we could change the face of a cappella if -" Beca gasped, hearing herself. "Oh my god, that sounded so queerballs. What's happening to me?" Beca walked over to her computer. "Let me show you this arrangement I've been working on," she said. "I don't have speakers, but you could all take turns with the headphones."
Aubrey snapped Beca's laptop shut, and it took everything in Beca not to scream at her for touching the music equipment.
"You've caused enough distractions for one night. I have the pitch pipe, and I say we focus on the setlist as planned." She turned to the group. "From now on, there will be no more wasting our time with work, school, boyfriends, or girlfriends."
"But, Aubrey, this stuff is pretty cool," said Chloe.
Aubrey talked over Chloe. "Okay. Rehearsal tomorrow. 8 am sharp."
"Hey, Beca, do you mind if I hang out for a few minutes? I'd really like you to show me your music."
"Sure, Chloe."
Once the others had left, Chloe turned to face Beca. “Are you okay? I know you haven’t had time to process what happened earlier.”
Beca looked away from Chloe as she responded. “I guess? I don’t know. It’s been a long while since I’ve had an anxiety attack. I guess I just got overwhelmed.”
She turned to face Chloe and saw her gesture for her to continue. She decided it was best to be honest.
“I have generalized anxiety disorder. I was diagnosed in my freshman year of high school, although I am sure I’ve had signs of it ever since I can remember. It had been under control for a while, but lately, not so much. I have medication, and I got really good about taking it again over the semester break. But I ran out of most of it a week ago. And I don’t even know how to get more or who to ask.”
“Do you have your medicine bottles?” Chloe asked.
Beca opened her desk drawer and produced four bottles. She pointed to one of them. “This is for anxiety, and I’m supposed to take it twice a day.” She pointed to another. “This one is for sleep that I take as needed. Which, lately, is a lot. Kimmy Jin sucks.”
“What about these two?” Chloe asked, holding up the other two bottles.
“Those are for ADHD. I was diagnosed in elementary school. We went through a few different medicines before realizing that stimulants cause me more agitation than anything else. The combination seems to keep me focused.”
“I have ADHD, too,” said Chloe. “I can help you with the medicine. There’s a pharmacy just off of campus that’s really good. We can go over there tomorrow after rehearsal. The pharmacist in charge is super nice, and he’s used to helping students get their medicine transferred. They have pill organizers as well,”
“But, those are for old people!” exclaimed Beca.
“Not just old people. I use one. It’s not a foolproof method for keeping track, but it helps me remember whether I’ve taken my medicine or not. Speaking of which, I forgot my pill the day I barged in on your shower. I tend to be impulsive when I skip my medication.”
“Right. I guess I should try that.”
The two paused for a few beats.
“Do you still want to hear my music?” Beca asked in a small voice.
“Oh, totes.”
Beca had Chloe sit in her desk chair and put headphones on while she talked her through the basics of making a track, just as she'd done with Jesse.
"You have some real talent, Beca," said Chloe. "How do you know which tracks mash up together?"
"I don't know," said Beca. "I just do."
“You're really hot when you're mixing music, did you know that?" asked Chloe.
Beca assumed she was hallucinating or having a very elaborate dream. There was no way she'd heard Chloe correctly.
Beca cleared her throat. "What?"
Chloe stood up and tucked a lock of Beca's hair behind her ear, sending a shiver through Beca. "I said you're hot. Not just when you're mixing music, though." Chloe had her face right up to Beca's, much like she'd done on Hood Night. This time, however, she didn't kiss her cheek. She gently cupped her chin and went straight for her lips. Beca was so surprised that she didn't even respond.
When Chloe pulled away, Beca stood still, blinking.
"I'm sorry, was that not okay?" asked Chloe.
"It was more than okay," said Beca. "You just took me by surprise. I thought you were straight and had a boyfriend. I mean, I've only seen you with the guy at Hood Night, and there was definitely a guy with you that time I sang 'Titanium.'"
Chloe laughed. "I'm bi, and Tom is a friend with benefits. We only hook up every once in a while when we're both single and need some stress relief."
"Oh."
"You're the one I like, Beca."
"Yeah?"
Chloe took Beca's face in her hands and gave her another kiss, this one much deeper than the chaste one she'd just given her. This time, Beca kissed back.
"Does that help?"
"Yeah," said Beca. "Can we do that again?"
"Mind if we sit on your bed?" asked Chloe.
"Not at all."
They sat on the bed, locking lips again. The next thing Beca knew, Chloe had turned and straddled her lap, somehow managing not to break the kiss. She gently stroked Beca's hair with one of her hands. Beca felt like her insides were melting. Kissing Chloe was even better than she'd imagined. She reached her arms around Chloe's back and pulled her close.
Chloe’s phone beeped with a text. She pulled away and held up a finger. She grabbed her phone and grinned as she read the screen.
“That was Aubrey. I set up my phone to beep differently when it’s from her. Anyway, she wanted to know if I was coming back to our room. She’s got company.”
Beca chuckled when Chloe turned the phone screen toward her. “Way to go, Posen. If she wasn’t helping Stacie out of her uniform before, she definitely is now.”
“Yeah, so…can I stay here tonight?” Chloe asked. “Is Kimmy Jin coming back?”
Beca shrugged. “I doubt she’s coming back, and she can just deal with you being here if she does. She always has friends here. They’re usually loudly playing video games, and they rarely even acknowledge my existence, much less ask me to join them. So, yeah, you can stay here. To just sleep, or…”
Chloe smiled. “I was planning on just sleeping, but…”
“Right,” said Beca. She rummaged through her closet, produced two sets of pajamas, and handed a pair to Chloe.
She gasped just a bit when Chloe stripped right in front of her.
“Come on, Bec, it’s not like it’s anything you haven’t seen before.”
That was true; Beca had the memory of seeing Chloe naked burned into her brain.
She only hesitated for a beat or two before deciding she’d just do the same. It was awfully late, and the adrenaline of the evening was beginning to wear off.
Once they were both in pajamas, Beca asked, “So, about us?"
"Us?"
"This…" Beca gestured between the two of them.
"I told you. I like you, Beca," said Chloe. "And, unless I'm mistaken, I think you like me too."
"I don't kiss just anybody like that."
"That's a good thing," said Chloe. "To be perfectly clear, I'd like to take you on a date."
"I'd love to go on a date with you."
"Are we girlfriends?"
"That's up to you."
"I'd like to be your girlfriend."
"I'd love that," said Chloe. "I'm going to go use the bathroom and finish getting ready. I'll be in here in a few minutes. And I'll warn you ahead of time: I'm a cuddler."
"Of course you are," said Beca, rolling her eyes. She set her alarm on her phone and hooked it up to the charger.
Chloe knocked on the door a few minutes later. Once she was in the room, she climbed into bed next to Beca. She motioned for Beca to roll onto her side, and Chloe immediately snuggled up to her as the big spoon. Ordinarily, Beca would have been unable to sleep like this, but she'd found Chloe's embrace to be just the calming force she'd needed to settle herself from the excitement of the night and get some sleep, even though the two of them were squished in a twin sized dorm bed.
