Is this blog still active?
I definitely forgot about the BJD community for a while. I’ll try to keep up! Let me know if there are any scams recently.

Oh boy. I didn’t want to have to post an update given that so many of you defended Adollshoptoo/ BBDS saying that she’s changed.
A leopard doesn’t change its spots and a scammer doesn’t change either. Despite whoever they parade around as their new bestie. And, TBH if that bestie is helping them out with promotions, maybe they have a little to blame too?
So yes, I found a chain on BJD Addicts calling the shop out for, surprise surprise, not completing orders. This is after they were shitting on purindoll, the poor dear, for “copying” their jackets. Hun. Just quit the hobby, because nobody likes scammers. Do avoid this shop no matter how flashy their new items are. This applies to every scammer you’ve heard of, not just Adollshoptoo. Take a look at this blog for good warnings!

Bluebirddollshoppe/ Bluebirddoll/ ADollShopToo
Bluebirddollshoppe, a previously identified scammer in the BJD community has deleted their old feedback on etsy and opened a new shop known as ADollShopToo.
Previous scammer history and evidence can be found http://cowpewter.tumblr.com/post/105682521930/blue-bird-shop-etsy-reviewwarning , http://mlparena.com/index.php?topic=368211.0 , http://charlietheskonk.tumblr.com/post/110023544065/bluebirddollshoppe-3.
Buyer beware. I know this person exhibited at Doll North but they are known to frequently go MIA and never resolve their transactions.

Sproutydoll - plagiarism or rip off?
I’ve had a few followers DM me on whether Sproutydoll, the eye maker was plagiarising and also asked me for receipts.
Here’s screenshots from their instagram claiming that they were being unfairly attacked on instagram by cubeco000, where you can purchase the molds here :https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z0d.6639537.1997196601.4.Y8GwAx&id=531226348516, You can read the text here.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
She’s mostly saying that she isn’t plagiarizing and merely re-selling them. This is cubeco000′s instagram which did the callout.
Tumblr media
However, the question is if she did credit or indicate that the molds were made by herself, or just purchased and she was a reseller. It is very suspect that she is selling the molds at $40, a great markup from the $4 that cubeco000 is selling at.
If customers knew that she was reselling molds, the possibility of them buying such molds and eye-make kits from her would be low as they could go to the source directly. So, after looking through her website I believe she misrepresented herself as having made those molds herself.
Here are screenshots of her website.
Tumblr media
She says “molded from 3D printed parts”, leading the customer to believe that she molded them herself.
Tumblr media
Her resin kit without the mold consists of these.
Screenshots from her instagram:
Tumblr media
She says “Regular molds take around 6 weeks to complete and to ship”, directly misleading customers to think that she is making the molds. Otherwise she should have said that they took 6 weeks to ship to her from her taobao agent.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“I know it is high but it’s all expensive stuff for me to produce and package” - what is she producing exactly, other than maybe repackaging the resin into smaller bottles or making the molds? I can hardly imagine her producing plastic cups or boxes or wooden stirrers. She is DIRECTLY leading customers into thinking she produced the molds.
Finally, on andreja’s instagram
Tumblr media
“She was the one who made the awesome mold that you see me using for my custom eyes. She worked super hard on these so show her some love”
Andreja is also directly stating that Sproutydoll made for her eye molds, and so the implication is that her kits also have the molds made by Sprouty. Otherwise, who would buy from Sproutydoll when the whole kit, in its various parts, could all be acquired for less than $10, and they were instead paying $90 for it?
Most of the equipment is available very easily too. Stirrers, non stick mat and plastic cups, who wouldn’t have that?
Lastly, here is Sproutydoll’s justification for the high markup on the molds.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Again, reselling isn't stealing. I never said I made the molds. I have been dming with Cubeco, and after a few messages they have not responded again. I told them I bought the molds and I can prove it, and where I got them from. They seem to be reading something I wrote months ago and thinking it is about these molds. Again they are saying I am stealing for reselling. As for the price, when you are importing something as a business to sell, you must pay import taxes and fees. Imagine I buy $100 in molds. Immediately add 25% to the price for the agent. Add $45 for shipping to the agent and then to me. Add around 40% import taxes and fees for importing, depending on what it is classified under in customs. Then there is the failure rate, around 15%, molds that have resin stick after they are tested. Then there is the normal retail costs like packaging, issues with orders/refunds, the time it takes to find and prepare the item, listing fees, storage fees etc. Usually for retail, you need the total cost to get the product to you and your customers to be 50% of what an item sells for in order to make a profit that makes the item worth the effort. It's not as simple as "This product cost four dollars on Taobao, you're a con artist for charging so much more". It literally not worth the effort of importing it to sell it for less than 30. It's the same for places like tatas paradise, who sell items for a very high markup on the overseas websites and on their Taobao it is a third of the price. Tata even states they do not sell to agents or resellers, a common practice on Taobao for sellers who don't want their items to be sold by resellers. Reselling isn't stealing, and I never said I made the molds. It's not discrimination or like recasting, it's the standard model for retail businesses. If Cubeco didn't want their molds bought legitimately and resold, they should have stated so on their Taobao store. You don't have to get permission to resell. If you buy something, you have the right to do what you want with it. It would be different if I said that I had created them, that they were mine. It also doesn't make sense for me to have to credit them on the listing page.” (bolded mine) It definitely is disappointing to see her slander cubeco000 and say that there’s such a high failure rate for her products too. Just all around bad business, misrepresenting and ripping off.
Conclusion: Not a scammer, but a liar,

Hello. Perhaps you can help. I did a trade/faceup commission with @danishortz on instagram. Several weeks ago, she claimed her phone broke and can only communicate via email. I was promised my things, including my boy's irreplaceable head, but they never came. Still haven't come. And she stopped responding to my emails. IDK if she's a scanner or what, I just want my boy's head back...I'm very upset.
Hi anon! I took a look at @danishortz’s instagaram and there is definitely a bunch of people who are waiting on orders and have claimed that their orders are lost.
As you know, multiple lost parcels are a sign of someone scamming. Though she says she isn’t a scammer, it is very dubious. I hope no one else makes any deals with her until she returns all her trade materials and the end of her trades.
Because you traded with her, there is no avenue to get your items returned, unlike a purchase through paypal. I’m really sorry anon! I’ll see if I can find her other accounts. She does have an account on poshmark and deviantart. She also sells monster highs, so please be careful!

If you watch this video, its pretty much solid evidence that Culur is still scamming customers.
This poor, poor dear sent her doll SiO2 to Culur for a faceup/ body blushing for $200, waited five months, and the doll came back completely wrong. She asked for blues and purples and shadings in the hair, but she got a pink doll with very poor body blushing, and that was it. None of the aspects she specified was actually right.
Friends have told me that Culur frequently pulls this on her customers, so please, please be very aware if you want to commission her, that your doll is not going to be wearing the faceup you want at all. She will also send your doll out 4 months late. Any explanation for your actions, @culur-faceups_?

Is thedollcastle on Instagram a scammer? I heard that they hosted a giveaway 2 months ago but never actually mailed the prize. They are actively posting on Instagram but they stay quiet about the giveaway. I know for a fact someone won it and they have been waiting for 2 months for a prize and thedollcastle has been ignoring their messages.
Hi there, sorry for the late reply. I have seen what is going on with thedollcastle and they never did send the prize. However that does not make them a scammer per se, since they were never paid for an item. It just makes them flaky, I believe.

Reblog for record.
Culur hasn’t done anything shady in 3 years, huh? What about selling the DC Christina recast as legit mid-2015? Organising giveaways so her close friends win the prizes Aug-2015? Disappearing from hosting a contest for no adequately explained reason in Nov-2015? Lying about collaborating with Angel Toast in May-2016? People keep this information going because she hides evidence of her lies, trying to make it disappear. We don’t want to let people forget she is a FREQUENT, PERSISTENT LIAR.

Monitoring her past scamming, lying ways!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is the mnf Chloe I know for a fact is recast, my friend was the one who sold it to her and called her out on saying it was from Fairyland. It’s not right to hide this kind of thing from people, especially when so many would be upset knowing they purchased something from her when she supports and hides she has recasts.

I think you were biased when posting about meanae's stance on recasts. She has been also suggesting legit options as well on that forum. I don't condone recast business, but it's not nice to shoot someone down who's starting a new beginning.
Thanks for your feedback, anon. At the time of my posting, I did not see her suggesting legit options. I still stand by my opinion that someone who is recast neutral does not teach newbies how to buy recasts.

A quick look through the DoA Paging Elena thread shows that Spite and Malice is a seller to potentially be wary of.
I think it’s rude how Spite & Malice never got back to anyone on DoA for like months on end. I read the problem transaction threads for fun and there’s a shit ton of people she never replied to? Like apparently she had personal problems or something but she was actually on the forum and she didn’t even post in her own fucking paging thread??? Like they weren’t mad, just worried, and she didn’t even have the politeness and decency to post a quick “I’m okay but my shop is closed. Sorry.”  RUDE.

To the anon who asked me about Meanae’s trustworthiness, and anyone considering supporting her as a BJD artist or believing she has switched to recast neutral, here are some screencaps for your consideration. Her BJD facebook or tumblr is called Quadriga Dolls.
FIRST screencap is of Meanae’s tumblr post on the 12th of March 2016 stating that she is now recast neutral and no longer pro recast. In previous posts, she has claimed that all her recasts were sold. As I do not see any of her recasts in recent posts (except apparently one), she can be trusted that she has gone legit. She does still state on her tumblr that she is recast friendly, in contradiction to her statement on the 12th of March 2016. SECOND screencap is of Meanae advising a user on a recast forum, on how to order from Steven OR Luo, a main BJD recaster on the 2nd of April 2016, three weeks after the 12th of March.
THIRD screencap is a quick look at her post history, where she has been advising users on buying recasts on the same recast forum at the end period she transited from recast to legit.
On my end I am reluctant to believe that a recast neutral person spends her time advising newbies on how to buy recasts. She also wrote a lengthy reply to recastconfessions tumblr with her reasons for keeping the recast masterlist updated.
Make your own judgment, if you like her dolls enough go ahead to buy them. But if you do not want to support a pro-recast, this is evidence that she is still pro-recast and not recast neutral as she claims. Of course, she may have her own defense to this. We shall see.

Do you have anything about Meanae? She started a doll company thing and I don't trust her!
Hi anon, yes she did, and thanks for the ask! I have never seen or heard of her scamming anyone. As to whether she can be fully trusted though, see my next post! I will do some digging.
I must specify that it is NOT my intention to out recast owners, unless if the recast is being used for a scam.

Scam alert! Be aware of the Russian collector; Artiom Mirocnecenko, from Moscow. Apparently they have been involved in a number of doll trades on facebook, and their part of the trade is never received. Do not trade with this person. They also go by Arti Uncommonec, and Artem Miroch which both appear to be false names.

If anyone intends to purchase hellcorgi/kleincrew/polina’s latest corset’s or clothes, you are doing so at GREAT RISK of never getting the item and being out of money.
She is known to never send items and pretend they have been lost by post, and has not refunded a whole group of people since last year. She was also banned on DenofAngels for her scamming and has closed her etsy shop.
Meanwhile she claims that she has no funds in her paypal but has taken a few vacations and also bought an expensive Iplehouse Drake.
The fact that @hellcorgi is actively selling things yet refuses to refund money she stole from me over a year ago is disgusting. She scammed me, never sent out what I bought, never refunded me, and a year later is scamming more people. Do not buy from her.
