Ki Taek (Yeo Jin Goo) is Se Hyeon’s partner. His colleagues are unaware that he is also Woo Jin’s boyfriend. Ki Taek is the only one who believes in Woo Jin’s innocence. He begins his own secret investigation.
Lee Gyung (Kim Hee Won) is Se Hyeon’s ex-husband. He is a prosecutor. Lee Gyung is still in love with Se Hyeon and helps her solve the case.
Kang Nam (Sung Dong Il) is Ki Taek’s uncle. He owns a well known bar where illegal dealings happen. His estranged nephew comes asking for his help.
Seo Jin (Hyeri) is one of Woo Jin’s alter. She witnessed a murder while on a delivery. Since then, she has been hiding. Another alter, Hye Jin (Hyeri) is aware of the truth but hides it. Hye Jin does not trust the police and tries to protect the alters.

Jin Ho (Woo Do Hwan) lives alone in Seoul. He has been working for a television network as an intern for three years. He used to wish about becoming a movie director however he has given up on that dream. Due to his meek nature, he gets bullied by his colleagues. He then receives a phone call from his uncle who tells him that his mother is at the hospital.
When he was a child, Jin Ho’s parents divorced and he was taken by his father while his sibling remained with their mother. He has not seen them nor his uncle for years.
Jin Ho returns to the small town where he grew up for the first time in sixteen years and takes over his mother’ store while she rest.
The yound man feels awkward and gauche amongst a family whom he does not knows. He then encounters Dae Woon (Kang Tae Oh), a young man who returned to live with his parents after failing to find a job in the city. Dae Woon assists his family at their farm. He is gentle and stubborn.
One day, Ah Rin (Lee El) appears at the store, looking for a place to stay. Ah Rin is Jin Ho’s older step-sister. She is a wild but wise woman who works hard to enjoy her life. Despite the fact that they do not share blood, Jin Ho and Ah Rin are close.
Tension rise in his family due to Ah Rin’s arrival. Jin Ho finds solace in Dae Woon and, following his advice, starts filming about the countryside and the people around him.

Do Ae Ran (Song Yoon Ah) and Yoon Jin Tae (Kim Tae Hoon) are married. They once loved each other however they are not happy anymore. Kim Jin Tae has numerous affairs with women while Do Ae Ran dedicates herself to her work. Although she used to be a bright and energetic person, she now mostly keeps to herself and carries an air of melancholy around her.
Kim Jin Tae’s father dies suddenly. At the funeral, Jin Tae catches a glimpse of his estranged half-brother, Yoon Je Ha (Jang Seung Jo). Yoon Je Ha and his mother have had a complicated relation with his father and he doesn’t dare to come to close, for fear of being confronted by JIn Tae’s mother.
After their father is laid to rest, Jin Tae and Je Ha meet. Jin Tae then proposes a job to Je Ha, who is direly in need of money.
Yoon Je Ha comes to Do Ae Ran’s restaurant under the identity of Jin Tae’s younger friend. Ae Ran accepts to give him a chance as a cook and observes him attentively.
Yoon Je Ha is a bit dark, a bit mysterious, and a bit soft. He reminds Ae Ran of days spent under a warm blanket while the rain pours endlessly. She comes to appreciate his presence and the comfort he brings into her life.
As they grow closer, Ae Ran realises that she is attracted to him. She ignores that Je Ha was paid by her husband to seduce her so he could get a divorce.
Meanwhile, Je Ha has fallen in love with his sister-in-law and becomes less and less inclined to follow his domineering half-brother’s plan.

Lee Ye Seung initially wants nothing to do with Seo Soo Ahn, however he gets blackmailed by her father to keep her out of troubles. He struggles to handle the wild and unpredictable young woman while getting sucked into her crazy world.

Hee Jung comes to find his daughter. They are not close and both feel awkward with each other. He tells her that her birth mother is ill and that she is coming to live with him for some time. She also hopes to meet with Ye Eun.
Ye Eun is disturbed by her father’s decision. She doesn’t understand him, nor Hae Rin, and even less so Hae Rin’s husband.
