hey guys, im issuing a hunt for info [and image files]. 

so TLDR when i was doing kaeya’s trial, i pulled up his character screen and saw these artifacts. they have no set bonus attached to them, and im not sure if they have a name. however, i think that in the files of the game theres full designs for all of them (or if not, at least the ones in the screenshot) and i’d love to get my hands on them, because i havent seen this documented anywhere

Tsaritsa is best girl

right so i am coming off of the absolute roller coaster that was dainquest and i have a lot of thoughts on all of it, but i really only focus on tsaritsa since i adore getting literally anything related to her motivations and character, no matter how indirect it actually is

so learning about the destruction of khaenriah has been what ive focused in on since it was implied that all the archons were present, even if the cutscene only shows Asmoday/the unknown god actually exerting force during it. 

although i previously speculated that tsaritsa held the king in terms of chess pieces, this new info really, really makes me think that she’s the one without the gnosis, and here’s why: 

there’s no way that all the archons would organize to destroy khaenriah without prompting, especially when the people there only seemed to want to live without a god over them. which really leads me to believe that whatever entity embodies celestia (most likely Asmoday) has the ability to use the gnosis to move the gods around as they please. it’s already been established that gnoses are archons direct line to celestia, so there’s really nothing that we know currently that could disprove this idea. 

so, during the siege of khaenriah, the dendro archon was killed, and the whole event is what initially motivated tsaritsa to begin mounting her plan against the divine. what i’m thinking happened is that she removed her gnosis and allowed it to be destroyed while everything else was getting laid to waste. she’s no longer controlled by celestia, but she still holds her seat since losing a gnosis doesnt mean youre powerless + she hasnt died. 

another thing i think is happening with relation to gnoses and celestia is that tsaritsa is using that line to draw celestia down to teyvat. other people have pointed out that across updates, celestia has been “falling”. however, i now think that tsaritsa is purposefully bringing it down to be able to enact her plan.

Am I the only one who appreciates that Kaeya is brown skinned?

For me he’s similar to Anthy in Utena. They both are not just token characters of colour, they come with all the power of an archetype you can’t pull off with a white character.

India is the place where everything started, “the birthplace of human speech and the grandmother of legend”. Varanasi was a city of scholars back when my ancestors hadn’t even invented written language yet.

And all the Near East… I don’t even know where to start. A beautiful long-fallen world, a place of myths, poetry, and science. The birthplace of first laws (very different from the Roman law we inherited) and dark and terrifying magic.

Nothing says “old gods and things that mess with the fabric of reality itself” in a fantasy setting better than a brown character does. 

I know modern India is just as interesting as its ancient history, and I know that romanticizing skin colour is just as bad as, well… bad things.

Yet, I see his character as a form of appreciation for rarely represented cultures and, honestly, I’m in awe.

apostrophe is overused in fantasy names because people think it adds an “exotic” feeling and they just stick it everywhere randomly

but in transliterations of Arabic it stands for an actual sound. the one that happens at the beginning of the word 'apple’ before the actual ‘a’ sound starts. it’s a valid consonant in many languages

and in “Khaenri’ah” it’s in a proper place where a glottal stop is actually possible)
