I've been trying to say this for a while but it's so difficult not to write an entire novel no one's gonna read, so I'll just say this.

Tech isn't portrayed as a stereotypical autistic character, and it's great for representation. Because the spectrum is... well a spectrum. Every autistic experience is different. He's not the typical non verbal, shy, awkward genius we always get as representation on media. I think the writers did a great job at implying this with some less used traits, until we noticed.

But I keep seeing people analyze his character in such an infantilizing way. It's like you expect him not to drink, not to fuck or fall in love. There are so many other factors that affect his character other than autism. To name a few:

- Cid's betrayal

- Phee flirting with him

- Being responsible for Omega

- BEING A SPECIAL UNIT IN THE GAR

- The squad he lives with

- The unresolved matter with Crosshair

I could name a few more and I'm sure you guys could too. What I mean here is that he's not small baby boo boo who needs to be protected because he's known to be autistic, and everything else surrounding him is a threat because it's what you deem toxic or dangerous for an adult on the spectrum. He's been capable of handling so many complicated matters in such a mature way, he can handle a little flirting😉

At this point I wish the showrunners would just put us out of our misery and confirm if Tech is like...dead dead. A year on, they've obviously seen our thoughts and speculation about his survival. Especially with each week since S3 aired.

I ran Techs voice through a voice distortion app. The results are not perfect! But it was interesting nevertheless.

I wanted to see if I could replicate the sound of CX-2 voice with the voice changer.

I found that when you distort Techs normal voice, you can end up with him sounding a lot like Hunter and a bit like Crosshair. Just like our pal CX-2.👀 This one doesn't really convey that that much though.

My phone is about to die so I can only produce two clips atm. But I might do some more playing around with it later.

I couldn't share the actual MP3 format so I had to improvise 😭

Regarding Techs death.....I think I figured out why I've have difficulties comprehending the idea that he is dead. ((Besides not wanting to let him go / denial))

That's because we literally didn't see a body. We saw his goggles, sure, but that's not actual proof. As far as my brain is concerned, he's still falling (cue loki falling meme). Because that's the last we saw of him. We didn't see him take his last breath, or hit the bottom, or drown, or get crushed, or anything. So because we didn't get to see him actually die, we only saw him fall. My brain just does not understand, doesn't comprehend it. It understood the implications (hence the many many weeks of tears and heartache) but that's about it.

And that's one of the reasons I think I need something more with his story, to prove that he lived or that he did in fact die. Because if not, he'll forever just be falling in my memories 😭
