what is trapped dads?

oh i am SO GLAD you asked. trapped dads is my most favourite piece of spec in the whole wide world. i will be speculating trapped dads until it actually happens and then i will begin to speculate on trapped dads 2.0. ANYWAY. i cannot talk to the origins of it because it was before i joined the fandom but i think it had something to do with a promo shot of buck and eddie in an elevator. but trapped dads is basically just speculation about buck and eddie getting trapped together somewhere and most of the time confessing their love to each other or at least discussing something of importance that has gone unsaid (like the shooting or the will) in a life-threatening situation.

Just thought about how when Buck was trying to get Eddie's attention in the gym he failed but when he was in the gym angry after meeting his parents Eddie was right there even when Buck was 'just hitting things'. Something about being oblivious that he's never needed to get attention because he already had Eddie's affection.

oliver did an interview where he confirmed that a queer buck arc was supposed to happen earlier on the show but it was nixed by some higher ups at fox. i don't think there was anything necessarily to confirm it was the shooting that would instigate it or whatever but the timing's seem to match up and i think season 4 might have been mentioned in another interview when the same thing was discussed but i might have made that up...

Hundreds of Jewish anti-war demonstrators have been arrested during a Passover seder that doubled as a protest in New York, as they shut down a major thoroughfare to pray for a ceasefire and urge the Senate majority leader, Chuck Schumer, to end US military aid to Israel.

The 300 or so arrests took place on Tuesday night at Grand Army Plaza, on the doorstep of Schumer’s Brooklyn residence, where thousands of mostly Jewish New Yorkers gathered for the seder, a ritual that marked the second night of the holiday celebrated as a festival of freedom by Jews worldwide.

The seder came just before the US Senate resoundingly passed a military package that includes $26bn for Israel.

i wish i could say this more eloquently but watching these college solidarity encampments popping up around the world… watching university faculty use themselves as shields to protect their students from the police… watching these students put their own safety on the line to demand divestments… i’ve never seen anything like it, and every update moves me to tears.
