Absolutely LOATHE 8-10 episode seasons they are the death of decent characterization and the result is that you feel like you are watching an 8 hour movie spliced up, not television

it is getting tiring trying to save a show or get a show on air.

it's becoming a job trying to keep a show on air when it shouldn't be the case.

and streamers wonder why people aren't interested in keeping all their subscriptions up to date! netflix especially has become a joke, no one expects their shows to go beyond 2 or 3 seasons because we all know that netflix doesn't want to give people the pay bump that goes with a long running series. you have to be an absolute juggernaut like Stranger Things to survive

and I would argue that a big problem with the current television climate is how desperately every network/streamer is to get another juggernaut. they all want their own Game of Thrones or Stranger Things and any show that doesn't live up is discarded quickly

this is absolutely valid, he is handsome and it's cute how he and his wife both signed long-term with Chicago teams and I love how he's really taken on a leadership role on the team! like we're always hearing how he has taken it upon himself to look after the other players and pump them up when they are struggling and when they're killing it, and with Rizzo and Heyward gone it's nice to know there are some guys in the locker room that are stepping up to fill the leadership void.

I also have on another note enjoyed Craig Counsell. he feels low drama and cool headed. Joe Maddon sometimes felt like Mr. Toad's Wild Ride in the bad way and Ross was Fine, but also sometimes bad at managing a pitching staff
