If—IF CX-2 is Tech, I'd like to think he was reconditioned as Crosshair mentioned in a previous episode. CX-2 full on Wintersoldier, no recollection of BEING Tech, nothing of the batch, or Omega.

What I also like to think is that he is fighting a mental battle in his exceptional mind. Between his former self (Tech/CT-9902) and current self (CX-2). It's a "game" he only finds challenging when playing against himself.

This is extremely delulu and tinfoil hat fueled, BUT, I just remembered the episode from S2 when he was playing a game on top of Gonky for a flat surface, and he said, "I am playing against myself. It is the only time this game is a challenge."

Okay, totally unrelated to the next two episodes tonight, BUT, I swear. I swear—I 100% fully believed when Omega was reaching out to try to feel or call out to the force, I thought she was going to get a vision. Nothing too much or vivid like she's a full-fledged force wielder, but just a brief blurry glimpse like a flash card image. Like she'd perhaps SEE or get subtle HINT as to what really happened to Tech, since Hemlock said his goggles were all they could salvage (I call bull.)
