If—IF CX-2 is Tech, I'd like to think he was reconditioned as Crosshair mentioned in a previous episode. CX-2 full on Wintersoldier, no recollection of BEING Tech, nothing of the batch, or Omega.

What I also like to think is that he is fighting a mental battle in his exceptional mind. Between his former self (Tech/CT-9902) and current self (CX-2). It's a "game" he only finds challenging when playing against himself.

This is extremely delulu and tinfoil hat fueled, BUT, I just remembered the episode from S2 when he was playing a game on top of Gonky for a flat surface, and he said, "I am playing against myself. It is the only time this game is a challenge."

like i can totally see him doing this when he has nightmares about annabeth and thalia, even currently (on occasion). like everyone thinks he’s so strong, and he very much is, but his past still haunts him and that’s something that’s never going to leave him :(

i can just imagine him dreaming and he hopes its gonna be a good one this time bc gods, he needs a fucking break from all the nightmares; it’s too much sometimes.

i think it would be one of the happy memories he has left; the details are a little fuzzy because it’s been years and his memory isn’t that great anymore with all the pain and hurt that he’s gone through.

it would be something small like the first time annabeth was in charge of creating a strategy for capture the flag and their team wins (because of course they do; his little sister is brilliant.) and annabeth is so excited and luke is so fucking proud of her because even tho both of their parents always seemed to doubt them, luke never doubted annabeth.

she’s beaming at him and talking his ear off about a play-by-play and luke wants to say, “i know, beth. i was there beside you the entire time, remember?” but he can’t bring himself to do it because there’s only a handful of moments where annabeth gets to be a kid and this was one of them; so much has already been taken from her by people who were supposed to care for her and luke wasn’t gonna be an addition to that list.

but he doesn’t let the dream go on for too long; he learned from his past mistakes. kronos usually comes in and taints the memory when he finds it and he just wants one happy memory that’s just for him.

he forces himself to wake up and just stays awake for the rest of the night, holding onto the good times.

HII I LOVE ANSWERING QUESTIONS TY FOR ASKING !! i love yapping about my au's

1, image was made by a friend and it's what i've been using as a ref ever since lol

2, this is mostly just a faction swap au. other than that, the biggest lore changes i've done so far is change some jobs certain characters have and vinestaff's curse. no personality changes though !!

3, sword has a crystal because i felt like it was a better alternative to his mohawk. when i was only just making a few concepts on paper for this au, i did research a lot about each faction's attires and other things too that relate the each faction respectively. only 2 characters have crystals in the canon universe, and both of those are from blackrock so i assumed that it'd be fun to give sword one :3

i have thought of abilities the crystal could go him and so far my only two ideas have to do with speed. 1st idea is just a speed boost to himself and the 2nd is that he slows down others, lets say when he hits someone with his m2

3, i have drawn betagraft!! i posted the design on my pinterest. i will do zetagraft too sometime.

^^ this was old concept art. zetagrafts will no longer be based off oak trees, but aspen trees instead. if you've seen my subspace design, you'd know that he makes biografts out of wood :)

banhammer as well as other factionless characters won't be getting a design since they don't have a faction. disappointing maybe, yeah, but it's what makes the most sense

4, atm i'm only thinking of drawing a design for playable phighters. if i feel like dresigning npcs after that, then i will certainly let you guys know :3

actually, i have drawn designs for grav and warp at some point but that's pretty much it (they'd be in thieves' den)

these are like... HUGE touhou references lmao. i remember sending grav in bogcom and then like half an hour after sending it i realised that i called her warp instead of grav you don't know the PANIC i felt at that moment

💌 - I don’t have any romantic beloved but my friends mostly know how I feel about them! I’m pretty open about my behavior ehehe

🗂️ - I do keep tabs on my friends! I have information written down and I tend to stalk their pages (including their replies, following, & reposts :3) with their knowledge of course! In fact, some of them love it which is really nice to know.

🖋️ - I’d like to be but unfortunately I haven’t found the right person romantically. I have a hard time with romantic attraction in general, pretty sure I’m aromantic at least to some capacity. Not to say I don’t feel romantic attraction of course, just not often. My last crush was a year ago and that was after 3 years of not crushing on anyone. I don’t know how to describe how I express romantic feelings, sorry! ^^;

🎁 - I enjoy giving gifts! It makes me happy to make my loved ones happy. I’ve spent so much money on my friends that I don’t even wanna know the amount at this point 🥲 It’s all worth it though if it makes their day just a bit better. Receiving gifts that people paid for makes me feel guilty if I’m being honest… although I really enjoy any gifts that they themself made! I think homemade gifts are really thoughtful. I melt whenever I get shown a drawing or something made for me :3

🌹 - I can get jealous pretty easily depending on the person and interaction I saw/heard about.
