What would you say to someone who's new to nd\av and doesn't wanna read too much to overconsume and just literally get it to the point ?
The pointers I'd share are:-
This person you believe yourself to be, is an illusion. The mind, and the body are unreal and illusory.
Experience is only ever through Awareness, and that awareness is what you are.
There is no listener of sound, just the sound. There is no one seeing, only the sight. There is no one feeling, only the felt. And this sound, sight, and what's felt is all awareness. It's all YOU. So senses are another illusion, just like your body.
There is no past and future. Only the NOW. Because Awareness always is. It never was, and never will be.
It's always THAT(awareness) experiencing THAT(Awareness). THAT(awareness) is the experience.
Everything you see around you, is just you in different forms. Call it whatever you want, consciousness, awareness, THAT, " ".
What you are, cannot be put into words. It's inexplicable.
This is something you will only believe in and understand on surface level for as long as you keep seeking, the moment when it all becomes clear and evident is when you go within and question the nature of your reality and ponder on these pointers.
This realisation is experience based, so experience it directly, by going within. KNOW yourself.
There is nothing to do. Just be. And observe everything around you, notice THAT. Notice the presence behind it all, the awareness behind this play going on, realise it's all YOU.
I think that's all I'd like to share because these are the key pointers that helped me when I was starting a month ago.
If you wanna read some more in detail:-
The character doesn't exist.
There is no thinker of the thoughts.
Everything is an illusion.
That's just the basics but trust me, that's all you need. JUST BE and GO WITHIN. Ask yourself questions, observe and notice. Do not get too indulged with the illusion, instead be aware and present as you notice yourself just being aware of it all. Rest in that awareness.

Remember to not overconsume, and that words and labels are very limiting. Take it all as pointers, pointers which point to your true nature, to " ".

hey everyone! i haven’t logged on in a long time but decided to today and realised one of my posts i made a long time ago was gaining backlash. i’ve deleted it and i just want to say many of my old posts here i no longer resonate with at all. i was learning and experimenting as i created this tumblr and my learning journey was made public through this blog willingly. most, if not all, of what i’ve posted i no longer follow or practice. i hope you guys can keep this in mind and extend some grace towards me if you stumble upon my posts, especially older ones. thank you so much and hope you guys are well! i might consider deactivating this blog <3

Awareness Cannot be Triggered.
"I was triggered by such and such event that happened!" Who was triggered, exactly?
Rupert Spira is a teacher on non-dualism, and has a video on YouTube called "Going to the heart of an emotion" where he discusses potential triggers and how to deal with them.
He tells the audience to imagine that someone just said something hurtful to them, and try to find the "I" that gets upset or triggered. A woman pointed to her body. She mentioned her chest getting tight and feeling sick in her stomach. He corrects her by telling her that the body itself isn't upset, it's a reaction to being upset. He then says the mind can express "upsetness" but cannot be upset itself. Thoughts cannot be upset. After a few minutes of silence, the woman concludes that she cannot find the "I" or the source of the upset feeling.
That's because we spend most of our lives, feeling and thinking that we are this false identity, the ego, when it never really existed to begin with! It never was. We spend lifetimes thinking and feeling on a person's behalf, when the person is nothing but an illusion.
Awareness, the real you, it has no desires or preferences, it is always whole and complete. When you identify with your true self, you feel nothing but peace and joy since there are no limitations of the illusionary person that you thought you were. You thought you were a person with wants and needs, a person with a past, when that person was never you.
The next time something upsets you, as yourself who is upset right now? When you can't find the source of the upset feeling, the feeling naturally goes away, because you realize you have no reason to be upset! The upset feeling comes from you identifying as a person, and assigning a negative meaning to words or an event you just experienced.
Free yourself from the illusion, you don't have triggers. You don't have to react and feel on the ego's behalf anymore. Your true nature is and always has been, peace and love.

the truth about the void state
I'm reading "At You Command" by Neville at the moment and I suppose this is the book where you get the actual Neville-based source for the void (though I'd argue he mentions this state of I-AM-ness in every book). I think it was divineangelbee who introduced this state to Tumblr and she stated it to be as a technique Neville used to manifest if I remember correct. Truth be told, when you actually read "At Your Command", or any other NG book, you can see that what Neville is trying to tell you is sooo much simpler than actually entering some mystical state where it seems like you've *physically* entered a state of nothingness. It's so so overcomplicated on Tumblr. It makes my head ache, to be honest.
Again, Moses stated, “I AM that I AM.” Now here is something to always bear in mind. You cannot put new wine in old bottles or new patches upon old garments. That is, you cannot take with you into the new consciousness any part of the old man. All of your present beliefs, fears, and limitations are weights that bind you to your present level of consciousness. If you would transcend this level you must leave behind all that is now your present self, or conception of yourself. To do this you take your attention away from all that is now your problem or limitation and dwell upon just being. That is, you say silently but feeling to yourself, “I AM.” Do not condition this ‘awareness’ as yet. Just declare yourself to be, and continue to do so until you are lost in the feeling of just being – faceless and formless. When this expansion of consciousness is attained, then within this formless deep of yourself, give form to the new conception by FEELING yourself to be THAT which you desire to be. You will find within this deep of yourself all things to be divinely possible. Everything in the world which you can conceive of being is to you —within this present formless awareness — a most natural attainment. - NG (At Your Command)
What is this "I AM" state? It's SIMPLY BEING AWARE OF BEING. And you are always aware of being. Neville tells you to just focus on this awareness. You do not have to tingle and open your eyes in pitch black nothingness lol. Neville tells you to enter this "I AM" state every time you pray (feel wish-fulfilled), just for you to release the old man. This means achieving a passive state beforehand where you're just focused on being, not focused I, John Smith, Am, but just focused on the I AM - the awareness of mere existence. This is achieved with a simple meditative state. It really isn't all that complicated. When you're focused on the mere existence of you just being, then you can feel without any limitations coming in your way, you're not limited by your conception of yourself.
Your desires only realise once you have the awareness of having said desires already. The void isn't some magical place where you can just state your wishes and hope for them to realise. In every technique you have to actually identify with your desires. That's when God (your subconscious) finds a way to make them appear in the physical for to him that hath shall be given. Every feeling is impressed into the subconscious and eventually realised, unless overpowered by a stronger feeling of the opposite nature. That's all you need to know: feeling -> reality; void≠magic to getting all your desires.

how would you personally deal with feelings of being trapped? as if you're doing things you do not like, or you're trapped in a body you do not like? i honestly just want to feel free, but it seems as if there are so many restrictions in my life. like things "have to be a certain way."
Ahhh I relate to these feelings so much. I didn’t even realize how often I felt trapped in myself and how strong my desire for freedom was until this journey began.
I’ve dealt with it by really sitting with it, of course. Feeling things out without constantly judging yourself and the feelings really does allow them to dissolve more and more.
I also have dealt with it by taking on more and more responsibility for my life. If this world is a mirror, which I know it is, I simply cannot keep accepting the illusion of being trapped. If I choose to do so, I keep perpetuating the illusion of being trapped. I am the one who is keeping myself imprisoned. Freedom is mine for the taking. Even if I feel like it’s out of my hands. I know that I must have freedom, because I am God and this entire universe is created by me (who I really am). So, this looks like allowing the illusion of being trapped to melt away. Because it simply isn’t true, no matter how painful and real it may seem. I cannot keep accepting it as true, I must know that behind it, freedom is waiting for me to recognize it and allow it into view.
These “restrictions” are only put into place because of us. Our acceptance of their existence keeps them in our experience. So it is up to us to stop giving them power, to stop identifying so heavily with it. Which wasn’t easy, in the slightest. Because when I felt trapped at my worst, I really felt it within me and it’s extremely overwhelming and suffocating. But I somehow made it through and persisted through those moments. So it’s possible to survive and make it out on the other side. You have to persist with faith that freedom is waiting for you on the other side. It surely is.

!!! we are always conscious of being something - the word I AM is usually followed by something. this state simply takes away whatever is behind the I AM so that you can just be I AM (awareness of being, not being something). it’s so misunderstood… and bc it is a meditative state, most people require practice to get into it. from what i’ve read, people practice meditating every day/frequently to go into this deep meditative state of BEING, because it requires discipline to not let your mind wander and to focus on being etc… neville intended for the I AM state to let us connect with our awareness and not to get things. it’s a pity how something so beautiful got misinterpreted, misused and is causing so much damage to some people’s journeys and mental health
When I started reading Neville Goddard, I didn't see him describing the I AM state like how Tumblr users do. So I wondered if it's because it's called the "void" and people claim that it can materialise your desires (even though you can do it anytime without being in that state) that people slowly added more random things to that state. I'm not saying that people are lying, but I am saying that people made that state into something it's not and since we assume that it is true, it became true and something that isn't originally the I AM state. Something more intense. Because the only thing Neville Goddard said that you will feel is the feeling of floating. Not wholeness or peace. Not pure darkness and silence. But then again, I have yet to read every single book of his.
yeahh I really feel like a lot of blogs here just completely distort neville's teachings. I know people aren't lying about it either, but it really shouldn't be put onto the pedestal like that. because, yeah, I think neville doesn't teach that ( I have also yet to read every single book and lecture), he rather teaches just awareness of being which is achieved through simple meditation which may also take practice but is far less complicated than the void.

slightly controversial post but more thought dump!
"but in my 3D this is happening, that is happening and it's just the complete opposite. also it's just not logical, look at the present cirucumstances." “things are too bad, i just can’t imagine.”
what if we saw it this way? that our senses and reason are SUPPOSED to deny us. we are SUPPOSED to feel differently from what we sense and see. Neville says: "Daring to assume that all things are possible to imagine, put this one reality to the extreme test by assuming you are the person you would like to be. Your reasonable mind and outer senses may deny it; but I promise you: if you will persist, you will receive your assumption."
he always tells us to DARE TO ASSUME. it's like playing a game of truth or dare with your friends. you pick dare and your friends dare you to run naked in the streets or sneak into someone's backyard. "but it's illegal!" you say. but is that not the point of a dare? to defy or challenge someone to do something, the dictionary says.
just like how a dare has to be a challenge for it to be called a dare, our senses and reasoning is supposed to deny us so that we can go in and imagine differently. this way, we can't fear what's outside of us. you can't fear the lunch lady giving you food when that is her job, or be angry at her. more often that not, our circumstances deny us. well, it's supposed to. otherwise how do we have the opportunity to go within? if a dare was not a challenge, would we still want to play the game of truth or dare? if our senses and reason did not deny us, would we still go within to fulfill ourselves consciously?
i say that it is controversial because people teach us the 3D is a mirror and it reflects us and to use it as feedback. that is not wrong and it is completely correct. but i realized sometimes, with this perspective, you start fearing the 3d. when you have been manifesting something for a period of time and it's not showing, you get scared because it is reflecting you. but when you accept it is supposed to deny you so you can go within, you stop fearing. that is also not to say the 3d is some big mean thing. it is just doing it's job so that you can do yours (and i use the term job lightly). you can accept this while knowing it will change. you can accept that it is supposed to deny you for now, until you go within to imagine.
so i say to the outer reality, "deny me all you want". i am not afraid or sad or desperate. deny me so that i can go within. deny me so that i can feel satisfaction and gratitude and happiness without reason.

faith is like a muscle that needs to be practiced. mental diet, returning to the wish fulfilled, it gets easier when you consciously choose to do it day by day. at some point, it becomes second nature. the first few days, the first few weeks, you might struggle. it feels so unfamiliar and requires so much effort. but like everything, it gets easier with time. choose faith, over and over again.

more late night rambles!
in our imagination, there is no logic, no circumstances, no "facts", no rules, no responsibilities. none of that - unlike our outer world in which occasionally we find ourselves drowning in all these. when we close our eyes and imagine, we are free to imagine anything. for example, when you imagine owning your dream car but your mind cuts in and say "we don't have the money for that", "we can't even pay rent", "we can't afford to upkeep it". all those don't matter in imagination. even if you are broke, you can own that dream car in your imagination - that's the most wonderful thing about it.
after realizing i can do whatever i want in my imagination, i have fallen in love with it. yes, the outer reality sucks sometimes and the things that happen out here sucks. i am allowed to be upset over it but i also find comfort and excitement in my imagination. not to imagine to make something happen but just imagining for the sake of imagining. we are FREE in imagination, we are not bounded by anything. today i implore you to imagine freely. even if in the day you have duties to fulfill and things to face, let yourself imagine freely before bed as a gift to yourself.

Something that works great for me, especially if you are in a undesirable State, is to ALLOW yourself for 10 mins to SHAMELESSLY FEEL AND THINK WHATEVER it is you WANT to FEEL AND THINK. What PLEASES you. After the 10 mins you can think and feel all those terrible things again. You can strike yourself with fear again. I promise it will be hard to think badly after that. Do this 3 times a day. ONLY YOU CAN PLEASE AND FREE YOURSELF IN YOUR OWN CONSCIOUSNESS. Neville spoke on it being NATURAL and NATURALNESS comes with FREQUENCY. Every person I know in my everyday life and the people I speak with on here changed their State with persisting in their FREQUENCY, not the length of time in their meditations and I am so happy for them. There is truly nothing that pleases me more than seeing someone be shameless about changing their State. All the great people we love to speak about were once not great. But them being shameless and seeing themselves great and feeling themselves to be great, we now call them that
