Kintsugi

They need to break before they could possibly have a chance at anything honest and healthy. They are both extremely bad at communicating, and it shows: Stolas is terrified of being honest and so far, he is known to take everything he says back in order to keep some “imagined peace”.

Blitzo hates talking about feelings. Hates being put on the spot. Hates being serious. The only person who understands him and the way he speaks is Loona, and she knows all of this better than he does himself sometimes.

They are both so flawed, so broken, and they are using what they have as a substitute coping mechanism to what they actually need.

Both of them need high stakes to actually open up— a significant catalyst. Both of them need to be away from each other and their arrangement in order to see a clear picture: “Are these real feelings or is this the best I think I can get?”

They should heal. They should learn how to accept themselves, before they could each other, or anyone else for that matter.

Stolas and Blitz are not living, they are both merely surviving — a mindset incompatible with romance and connection.

But it is beautiful and heart-wrenching, honestly, to see two souls find each other again after both of them have been finally healed and rediscovered.

“Hey, it’s you. Look how beautiful you are. I want to get to know you again, would you let me? I have so much to share, to tell you, to show you. Look how we’ve grown.”

And I believe we will get that. That we will get honesty, and happiness, and real raw feelings. I believe we will see Blitzo accept that he does deserve to be loved and cared for, and that we will see Stolas finally accept himself and that he deserves to be himself and still be loved anyway.

I believe all of that. But first, they need to break apart, and they need to break hard enough so all of their pieces can’t be put back into the same places they were before. So they can start anew.

Stolitz is not over, it is Kintsugi in the making.

Snow Queen Stolitz fantasy, part 2.

Greda never gave up on Kai. Not really.

She wanted to find him and save him, and was ready to do whatever it took to do so.

She was challenged numerous times, went through trials and tribulations…

Until she found him… faced him, challenged him.

Protected him.

Loved him back to life.

They came back — different, a bit broken— but stronger for that matter, and most importantly — together.

Could be just my delusions… most probably it is my delusions, but I couldn’t help but think about this. Buckle up, it’s story time and this is a long post. Part one.

In the story about the Snow Queen…

… there is a mirror located in Hell that shows the worst in everyone who gazes upon it.

The demons were curious to know what would God see if they were too look into the mirror, so they carried it into the sky, wanting to reach Heaven, only for it to slip their grasp far above the clouds and fall to the world. The mirror shattered into a million pieces.

Shards ended up in people’s hearts, minds, eyes, making them see the world differently, changing the perspective.

Some saw the worst in others, and some saw the worst in themselves.

The two young protagonists of the story were happy together as children, full of wonder, love, innocence and dreams in the beginning.

But once the mirror shattered, they grew apart…

Heartbroken and hurt by the world, seeing the worst, feeling the worst in people, Kai was taken by the Snow Queen.

Manipulated and influenced by her heartless guidance, he grew cold and distant, so much so that all he loved gave up on him, on looking for him. The Snow Queen made him and everyone around him believe he never cared. They even believed he was dead.

from what it looks like, ghostfuckers (?) is gonna be a blitz & millie duo operation (or at least moxxie is gonna be somewhere else for these parts) where blitz gets possessed AND/OR impersonated(?) by fuckface here

he looks like some kind of leviathan/envy demon in disguise? but that's just a guess. i think the memories scene here -

- matches the aesthetic and trailer color coding of this hotel/building, so i'm assuming that the possession/impersonation involves this guy using blitz's memories to control him somehow, or at least fuck him up while he's off trying to kill millie.

and oh man. oh man. these two are making me CRAZY?? FROM THE TRAILER ALONE???

what is blitz falling apart over HERE?? they're still in costume!! he's literally curled up in a ball hiding behind the couch, my poor baby what has HAPPENED TO HIM

AND THIS SCENE!!!!!!! at first i thought it was millie, then i thought no, because the hair, and then i realized wait yes AGAIN cause the beauty mark and lashes/tooth gap. my guess is that this is a flashback and GOD i am SO curious about it? who's trying to kill who. why are they fighting. HOW DO WE GET FROM WHAT LOOKS LIKE SUCH RAGE TO THE BESTIEISM WE SEE NOW?? the background looks like a saloon but blitz said he'd never been to Wrath before the harvest moon festival so what's up with THAT.

the blitz/millie dynamic is something i've been SO curious about for SUCH a long time and i am SOOO excited to find out more about them. they seem to have such a GOOD relationship right now so i REALLY want to see what makes them click so well so easily and what could potentially throw a wrench in that.

Thoughts on Stolitz and then I'll shut up:

I think what makes Stolitz stand out to me is, here are two middle-aged coded characters (not gonna go into their actual ages cause Demons you know) who, by society's definition, are basically past their prime and done with relationships. One is trapped in a failed marriage mandated by the society structure he's in; the other has been rejected from his family and every other relationship he's been in. They both have full lives; they aren't in a void, they are adults so they actually have shit to do: Blitz has started a business, Stolas has to carry out his duties as a Goetia. They're both dads of teenage daughters; not cute kid daughters who will just grin up and trust someone new in their lives, but daughters an an age where bringing in someone new to their family unit would be significantly harder and meet more resistance.

This isn't even going into the class difference, but just by virtue of the rules of this world and also the life stage they are at and their history with relationships, they just aren't supposed to meet, they aren't supposed to talk or even acknowledge each other, they aren't supposed to have each other's phone numbers with customized caller IDs, and they really really aren't supposed to fall completely and stupidly in love with each other. Any average passerby would take a look at these two in their current life stage and go, yup, they're done, they should just probably accept their love lives didn't work and move on being alone.

So many romances are about two young people falling madly in love and making it work on the first go. But that's just not how life works for most people. People marry the wrong person. People get dumped and hurt by past relationships. People carry baggage with them that makes communication and accepting love really fucking difficult. People, in the meantime, start businesses and raise kids. Their lives aren't just on hold while they wait for "the one." So when they meet someone new, there's stuff that comes with it: daughters, a business, a house. Love as an adult means taking stock of all the facets that you've built for your life over time and figuring out how it fits in with someone else's pieces.

Some of us didn't just walk into life and were handed "the one." Some of us got hurt. Some of us feel like we couldn't do it again. So I think stories like this, where there's real pain but also real hope and when the characters don't just kind of like each other they are in love, they have a chance, still, despite everything... that means a lot to me and I would love to see more stories like that.
