Ava smiled. “I suppose so. I think they’re nice.” She gave them another squeeze. She felt nice, being able to feel the other. “Comforting. Nice to hold.” She murmured.

She sat there for a bit, squeezing her hand. “I’m so glad you’re here, really.” Ava said. “I’m happy.” She felt safe, hopeful, with the other. She quietly played with Val’s fingers as the two talked.

Val smiled warmly. "You don't have to thank me. It's just what you do for someone you really care about." She nodded. "That's right, we're gonna work through this. Together."

She grinned softly, letting out a slight chuckle at Ava's observation. "Thank you. Surprising, isn't it? You'd think between workin' on cars and fighting bad guys my hands would be rough as sandpaper."

Those words seemed to encourage Ava. She gave a tight squeeze to her hand, rubbing the back of her hand with her thumb. It really was nice- being able to touch and feel again.

“Thank you. Really.” She whispered. Ava ignored how there were tears in her eyes. She felt…safe…hearing the other woman’s words. “We’re gonna work through this…yeah…I’ll be ok.

“You have soft hands.” She whispered. “It’s nice.

“  i know you’re hurting.  and i can’t fix that.  but i can refuse to let you hurt alone.  ” | Ava Starr

Ava looked over, a sigh escaping her lips. “I- that’s really sweet.” She murmured, moving to sit closer to the other. She flickered and phased, gripping the edge of her shirt. “You really don’t have to stay by me though.” She added. She leaned back, wincing in pain as she seemed to disappear for only a moment. “I thought I’d finally been cured, y’know? Turns out that was only…temporary.”

General Appearance: Curly brown hair, hazel eyes, brown skin, 5’8 or so- she has some scars from training/battle

Personality: Iona is stubborn and tough, never backing down. She has a special love for music and the arts, and has a fun joking side. She can often be impulsive, but once she commits to something she tries to go all the way.

Special Talents: She enjoys singing, and was taught sword fighting and pegasus riding by her mothers, she’s still learning battle strategies

Who they like better: Iona really doesn’t have a favorite, she loves both her parents

Who they take after more: She has Sif’s spirit, although looking more like Valkyrie besides her height and eye color. Her fighting style seems to be closer to Sif’s

Personal Head canon: Iona was introduced to different Midgardian bands by Astrid, and still has some tapes and posters she was given
