sunday reset routine <3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
first things first…
clean out any trash in your room. throw it all away, and take any dirty dishes out of your room as well
return things to where they belong. Move your computer from your bed to your desk, move your bags back to their hanger, you get the idea
reorganize messy areas. Drawers, shelves, or cabinets whatever has become disorganzied or messy over the week
do your laundry. It’s okay, we all get that big mess of dirty clothes that just piles up throughout the week.
Now time to deep clean!
take time to wipe down all surfaces. Use disinfecting and cleaning wipes to remove collected dust and dirt. This includes desks, tables, counters, etc.
strip your bed. Wash the sheets, comforter, blankets, and pillow cases
vacuum the floor. Pick up any small pieces of trash you might’ve missed
put away all your clothes. Once they’re done washing, don’t just leave them in the hamper. Fold them up and put them away where they belong
Focus on yourself
shower & skincare! On my Sunday resets, I like to take longer showers and use all my body scrubs and body butters and shower gels. wash your face with cleanser, scrubs, exfoliant, etc. moisturize and use a face roller for a few minutes. Id also recommend doing a face or hair mask
light some candles and meditate. Doing a longer meditation will make your headspace feel less cluttered and more put together. it’s like organizing in your head! This would be a good time to cleanse your crystals as well
journal. Take out your journal and write down your goals and plans for the week. you can also take this time to write manifestations, affirmations, or do a few journal prompts.
finally, do whatever you want. At the end of the day, when everything has been cleaned and organized, you can take time to yourself and do whatever you feel like doing. Not all of us have the time during the week to just relax and do what we want in that moment, so take this time to do that! you can watch youtube, draw a picture, play a game, whatever you want.
stay safe lovelies <3 :3

This is horrendous wtf... taking something already very expensive completely out of reach for many people...umm No! 🤬
It’s about time I talked about this too, for the sake of my Diabetic community out there.
Abled-bodied people on twitter and Facebook are using Continuous Glucose Monitors for weight loss programs. Using a device for a disability for their own beauty and ‘healthy and fit!!1’ purposes.
CGMs, as they’re called more commonly, were specifically made for Diabetics. And only for Diabetics. It’s to help make our lives just a little bit easier with the chronic condition we’re stuck with.
CGMs were NOT made for able bodied people to sit there and use it for their weight loss programs. They don’t even bother to to any tests beforehand to make sure someone can use the damn things right. Nor did these groups consult doctors about the risks.
These groups need to be stopped. They need to be reported for malpractice and harm to the general public. They’re fucking ableist assholes who are doing harm to the Diabetic community and the general public and I will not stand for that.
If any info I’ve presented here is wrong, please correct me in a reblog.
YALL NEED TO REBLOG THIS POST AND SPREAD THIS. BUT ABLE-BODIED FOLKS IF I SEE YOU CLOWNING ON THIS POST ITS ON SIGHT. /gen

A Diabetic Christmas:
-Getting cool chronic illness merch, cause why not, give them something cool to stare at?
- Eating dessert anyways, cause you've got to have a fucking live sometimes
-Regretting that later, oh well...
-Family who should know better asking, "can you eat that"
-Trying to carb count an impossible feast 🙄
-Wondering if all the fuss and food is worth it, with how much more challenging it makes meals.
-And repeating ever year, cause after all its Christmas!
Comment anything else you can think of! Xx Dont be too hard on yourself.

Always try to be kind, we can NEVER be a missing organ
You’re Not a “Bad Diabetic” If...
You decide to eat the delicious-sugary-carby thing anyway even though you KNOW it’s going to make your blood sugar high
You prefer shots over an insulin pump
You feel like wearing a CGM is just way too much machinery
Sometimes you like going low because it means you get to eat all the naughty things you never let yourself have
At any point in time you’ve used your diabetes to:
Skip gym class
Take a guilt-free sick or personal day
Get out of hot water for a mean or snappy comment you made to a friend or SO that you actually totally meant
You wait until your test kit is overflowing with used test strips before you throw them out
You do the finger lick/wipe-blood-on-test-kit maneuver
You don’t own a sharps container
The last time you changed your lancet was..um….
You only change your pen or syringe needles when they’re basically bent and totally blunt
You don’t work out as often as you should because exercise actually makes your blood sugars crazy
Your endo has ever had to give you a stern talking to
You’ve experienced/are experiencing diabetic complications
You don’t define yourself by your diabetes
Why are these things okay?
Because you’re human
Because sometimes you need a day off from work or school because managing diabetes on top of all your other responsibilities is exhausting
Because as long as your A1c isn’t dangerously high and you’re generally trying to be healthy, who cares about how you choose to manage your diabetes?
Because there are so many other wonderful components of your life and personality beyond type 1 diabetes
