I think it’s really easy to let cultural (or human) biases and shape how fictional societies. I definitely notice polygamous/polyamorous cultures in fiction tend to either shown as hostile and“backwards” or sexually liberated and enlightened (and monogamy taken for granted as the norm unless the author specialty wants to criticize it)

Neither snamels or holophants are more or less “enlightened” on the topic (and both have wide cultural differences in within their species) Snamels evolved from herding animals that use sex as “trade”, holophants evolved with the romantic sensibilities of an albatross, what is conservative and what is rebellious to each species is radically different.

To the average snamel sex work is as banal as being a salesman , to holophants it is an obscene indulgence of the oppulent (and done as pairs paying for *other* pairs). Snamels have almost no taboo on age beyond adulthood, holophants meanwhile are expected to find their partner within a tight age range. To holophants romance is the ultimate social bond, to snamels it’s a rung below the familial and platonic. Most Snamels see celibacy as incompetence or petty rebellion, most holophants see it as a disturbing and “inhuman”(inholophant?).

Both holophants and snamels tend to find eachother’s sexual habits mutually unpleasant. They likewise both find human sexuality and our fixation on our sexual dimorphism and gender performance to be hostile and alien (other alien species however share some similarities to us in that department)

This probably might have been answered before l, but what voices do you imagine for the characters in your setting?

I have a hard time settling on voice claims? but I do want people to know that on discord calls my “Debbie voice” is me doing a really rough impersonation of Marge Simpson.

Sunny’s canonical voice in my head sounds like a bunch of people talking at once but generally a soft spoken deepish voice BUT whenever me or friends do a “Sunny voice” it just sounds kinda like a bad impersonation of Morty going through a voice crack every other word.

With Greytooth past her prime, Belette has moved in to become the new matriarch of the region.

Far removed from the cave dwelling beasts, Belette was raised by human hands. After centuries of trying to slay them, mankind now dreams of turning dragons into their own personal lapdogs and flying horses. This has proven to not be a wise thing to try to do, and now Belette no longer lives with humans.

Don’t be fooled by those big goopy eyes and soft silky coat, she is a complete menace . While most dragons put their attention on keeping a lair, Belette is singularly focused on holding dominance over everyone and everything through whatever means possible. She really really hates Chuck.

Pierce’s motorcycle and various weapons and equipment seem to get grandiose or ironic nicknames by everyone except her. Her bike has picked up the name “Turtledove” by Debbie and friends, Pierce simply calls it “the bike”

4. What media does your character enjoy? (For characters in settings that aren’t modern Earth, could be media from their home setting or what they’d like in a modern Earth AU)

Neither Debbie nor Pierce are very pop culture savvy (due to Debbie's upbringing and Pierce's...Pierceness). Debbie likes reading and watching anything romance (whether fluff or..sensual), and listening to her collection of 3 CDs over and over again (This is Tom Petty's and ABBA's greatest hits + Fleetwood Mac's Rumours in human AU).

Pierce finds it hard to get engaged in fiction. She listens to radio friendly rock when driving and thats about it. She gets into poetry when she is older as well as videogames "against her will".

8. Has your OC ever had a crush on a fictional (to them) character?

Debbie absolutely, but i think it would often bleed into (weird) celebrity crushes. Pierce no.

15. How well would your OC do in a standard slasher movie?

Assuming that they are both human they would die extremely early. Debbie would accidentally get herself killed, Pierce would hear her scream and try to rescue her and also get killed.

29. Gun to their head, what is your OC’s fursona?

I you asked their canon selves (and explained to them the concept): Debbie would say shes a kitty cat and not think anything of it. Pierce would have no clue and would be assigned by Vireo to be a rhinoceros.

In a hypothetical situation where they ARE furries already: Debbie's sona would be a "Faerie mouse", a limegreen cartoon rodent with insect wings that looks like it came from the 90s. Pierce's would be a a seminaturalistic lioness woman.
