GOOD STANDARD OF PRACTICE 👩⚕️ 💌 SHARE this post to help others All too often I see treatments being administered on social media in a way that increases your risk of infection 🫣 Things like long hair not being tied back, no apron, no gloves, no cleaning of the skin , make up applied afterwards, etc 😱 COMMENT others that you have seen 💬 This all spreads infection. 🚨 Why TREATMENT REVIEWS are important 🚨 SAVE this post as helpful 💉All photos shown are with the person raising their eyebrows 📸 💉This was a tricky case to treat as the person had a small forehead and wished to have anti-wrinkle treatment. Small foreheads do not have a large forehead muscle so need to be careful how much toxin you administer to avoid complications. 💉They had had this treatment before and the previous placed had given her a brow drop. Brow drops occur when the forehead muscle is treated too low down. 💉Anti-wrinkle treatments are a balancing act. You need to relax certain muscles to smooth the skin. Not over-treat to avoid a frozen look 🥶 💉This is when reviews become so important. I treated initially conservatively explaining that the treatment cannot be undone once administered and wishing to avoid a brow drop or droop. 💉‘Initial treatment’ review 2 weeks later showed some ‘spocking’, meaning the outer eyebrows raise with some wrinkling above the brow still when you raise the brows. I advised further treatment in the forehead muscle was needed to balance the muscle activity and smooth the forehead further. 💉 Et voila - ‘Review treatment’ effect shows the healed results. It is good practice for clinics to offer review appointments in case tweaks are needed to improve your treatment results. My clinic offers this all inclusive in your treatment price. A few helpful tips below 😂 SHARE to help others 💉You do not have to do extreme movements for your toxin to ‘kick in’. It will come into effect all by itself. 💉 When testing if your treatment has fully worked and settled you do not need to do extreme movements This is because we do not go around expressing ourselves with such extreme movements normally. The treatment is to relax muscles and balance features,not normally to freeze you. 💉The best way is to assess the outcome of your treatment is looking at resting and movement photos to compare results. Your clinic should provide these for you if requested. 💉 Review treatment appointments are important in case we tweak your results. Toxin does not fully kick in for 1-2 weeks so you have to wait to see what effect the treatment develops into. Muscle activity can be hard to predict and the treatment cannot be undone. Over-treating on your initial treatment can lead to a frozen look which is not normally a good outcome. 💋We are all UNIQUE💋 💋I assess every person’s individually and appreciate their is no one size fits all lips when it comes to lip filler. All too often I see results of lip filler where all the lips look the same. Who wants to look like everyone else?! I certainly do not. Being unique is beautiful. 💋Lip volume building shown here 💉💋 This person complained of a thinner top lip and wished to build lip volume for better symmetry. I respected her anatomy,existing lip shape and her request to look natural. 💋They had what we call an ‘M’ shaped lip which means the lip body(the full parts of the lip normally) were thin. This is a challenge to build up as in essence you are creating volume where it never was before.
