There’s the old adage that says, “If you love something, set it free. If it comes back to you it’s yours, if not it never was.” That’s kind of how I feel about music. After creating music for 25 years, I feel like all my songs are coming back to me. I’ll be listening to the radio and hear a new song and go, “Oh yeah I remember playing that.” That’s not to say that the person stole it from me, but music by its very nature is repetitive and after a while you begin to hear the same chords over and over again. The truth of the matter is that like all great art, music is an escape from reality.
