Since no one asked, I decided to answer a few of these questions for my beloved Akhaten:
1. None. A life’s worth is only found in death, once its purpose towards Bhaal has been fulfilled.
4. 35-37. Her age might’ve affected her relationship with the Chosen, in the sense that she was seen as an experienced adult - which isn’t the case with Orin.
6. In “Reign of Akhaten” she bit Gortash’s throat out, which he survived, given that she was pretty busy riding out an Urge, giving him time to knock back a healing potion. (He did not like that.)
7. The only side effect of her divinity is related to her personality and the way she was brought up - when you’re a murderous child being told that you are holy, divine and perfect, that lends to you becoming a very self-assured adult who’s out of touch with reality. That, and the loneliness - when you’re divine, no one’s on your level, so you get pretty isolated.
8. She wouldn’t have critiqued her father pre-canon. She was perfect, and she was his, so why critique?
9. Depends. Utensils if it was a (somewhat) civilised dinner. In “Worship at the Altar of Small Death” she has a dream in which she recalls an instance in which she used a victim’s stolen gold utensils to dine. She very much liked them.
10. She did indulge in cannibalism, and saw it as her right to do so, given that her father gave her the ability. I think she might’ve eaten normal food too, but did not have a marked preference for it.
Past Life Dark Urge Asks - 7th Edition:
What is the worth of a single mortal life from the perspective of their former self?
How does Durge actually view death? Is it a mercy, a gift, or perhaps just nature's course?
What languages does Durge speak?
How old are they when the game begins? Did their age affect them or how they view the other Chosen in any way?
What was their greatest display of self-control?
Did they ever loose control and what happened when they did?
Being divine and all that might have it side effects. Which one did your Durge have to endure? Did their immunity to poisons perhaps also meant they couldn't use potions or did they have a certain effect on people?
If they could critique one thing about their father and get away scot-free, what would it be?
Did Durge use utensils to eat or did they decide to embrace the old fashioned way bhaal intended?
Speaking off, what's their diet like? Do they actually exclusively do the cannibalism bit or can they be convinced to eat normal food?

Behold!! I painted my beloved Dark Urge, Akhaten. I added the second picture because I’m obsessed w/ the shine from the liquid gold leaf I used for Bhaal’s symbol, which isn’t evident at all in the first one.
Akhaten is the former High Primistress of the Temple of Bhaal in Baldur’s Gate. She is a Bhaalspawn who has long struggled with feelings of loneliness and isolation, but do not be fooled - for even monsters can get lonely.
I call this “Reign of Akhaten” (which does have a correspondent on AO3 which you can find in this Durgestarion series). It’s painted on a round canvas using acrylic paints.

Every writer has two sides:
"I love my characters, they are my children and will protect them with my life"
"I wanna make them suffer so fucking much"

Clarion Call, Ch. 5: Astarion’s Interlude: Act 1.
Chapter Summary: Astarion's nice, simple plan, and all the ways in which it went wrong from the very beginning.
Story Summary: After receiving Bhaal's retribution in the form of Orin's dagger through her skull, The Dark Urge remembers nothing of her past.
But Astarion does. Faced with the prospect of finally coming face to face with the woman who promised to bring him a bloodbath to feast on, he struggles between his fear of her and the fated nature of their bond.
Akhaten and Astarion. Two mice stuck on the same never-ending wheel, this is the story of how they find their freedom from their masters, and from each other.
Series: blood in the water (part 3)
Relationship: Astarion/The Dark Urge
Tags: Soulmate AU, Enemies to Lovers, [eventual] Redemption!Dark Urge. Not your usual soulmate AU, not your usual Durgestarion. Angst with a Happy Ending, Hurt/Comfort.
Warning for Astarion’s trauma and Durge being Durge.
Read a snippet of chapter 5 below!
“What had he done?
It was the only question that ran through his mind, over and over and over again, as he nearly ran back to camp. He’d left her there, lost in whatever vision someone like her was wont to have, had been incapable of doing anything but running.
He kept throwing glances over his shoulder. Was she following him? Was she hunting him?
Did she, he wondered with a drop of ice in his stomach, did she know who he was?
The thought was nearly too much to bear. His throat was tightening, just like the metaphorical chains around his wrists.
She was here. She was here. She was here.”

without a doubt favourite part of bg3 is withers’ temple where every single book goes “you’re travelling with a vampire and a sharran and withers is jergal and also 50/50 you’re a bhaalspawn”
