Soup!!

Snape - being Snape. Not helped by an incident in 4th year when he told me to drink Weedsoros potion. It took Rowan and Penny (and maybe a few others) to restrain me from throwing the weed-killer at him.

Rakepick - Besides breaking my wand and killing Rowan?? She had a tendency to practice charms and jinxes on students she felt weren't paying attention in class. I relied heavily on Rowan's notes fifth year.

Merula - a complicated matter. Not helped by Merula tormenting me 5 out of 7 years of Hogwarts, and my complete disbelief of her friendship act.

As for reconciliation/forgiveness, well... That's a little hard, considering they're dead.

It's... possible me and Merula could've possibly reconciled, but it's hard to say.

A Bearded Surprise

Much thanks given to @drinkyoursoupbitch and her reaction to the unveiling of Ben's new beard. It is also how I imagine him during the Darkest Year. Enjoy!

1992

It was with some shock, as I entered the ministry, to see a very familiar blond head of hair loitering near the Fountain of Magical Brethren.

"Ben?!" I exclaimed. "What're -" I was stunned when he turned around, the words evaporating at his new appearance.

He was sporting a scruffy beard, like he'd been on a week-long work binge, much like some of the older students I'd noticed at uni, even this early on.

"Oh, Ellie!" he exclaimed, surprised at my appearance. I probably didn't look much better, and I winced at the slowly fading dark circles under his eyes. "What brings you to the ministry?"

I worked my jaw, willing the words to come, which they eventually did. Just not the ones I entirely expected. “Y- You've changed your looks..." before shaking my head. “I- Of course you did. I'm here because I need to renew my appariation licence." I rolled my eyes. “Apparently, the ministry is now set on keeping a close eye on those who’ve only been appariating for a couple years. What about you?”

Ben froze at my question, blinking a little at my whirlwind of words. “Erm,” he started, hand at the back of his neck. “Actually, same reason.” He stumbled a little over his words, and I grinned despite my annoyance at being there.

In this moment, I was strongly reminded of young!Ben. Despite having grown some more, and having gained a beard, he was still painfully familiar in other ways.

“Well, more like trying to transfer it to America,” he continued, shoving both hands into his jean pockets. “Considering I don’t feel up to talking with mum and da right now.”

I winced a little in sympathy. His parents hadn’t taken the news of him moving to America all that well, especially his mother. “Well, we can go together, then.”

Soup! Apologies for the delayed reply.

Cyrus - quick, but measured, steps. Keeps a pace where he can't be caught unless he wants to be. Spells typically come in volleys him, proving dangerous in certain situations.

Eleanor - a confident stride, and one of the first to dive into a fight, if provoked. A more controlled approach to duelling.

Ellie - lanky, quick movements, with occasional bouts of uncoordinated falls (at least once halfway down after Astronomy)
