Aside from braided, she does occasionally wear it down or in a twist (mainly formal occasions. Ministry party, etc.)

3. Does your character wear jewellery?

Artemis shared a dormitory with Tonks through her teenage years. The only thing that stopped her from getting her ears pierced earlier was the trauma of the time she let Tonks cut her hair when they were fifteen.

There’s also THE necklace she was given shortly after the terrible haircut incident, which she didn’t take off for almost 9 years straight. Once she did, it never went back on again, but it was later replaced with a different but just as sentimental piece.

7. What does their closet look like?

It’s a basic wooden wardrobe. Inside, it’s a mess. Hangers both ways, clothes hung both the right way around and inside-out, and some just apparently kicked in from the other side of the room, from the looks of things. Thank Godric for the summoning charm, or she’d never find anything in there.

I cast a weary look around the room through the haze of cigarettes and cigars. I see nothing but forced smiles on the faces of the gentlemen and bored looks and twinkling diamonds on the women clutching either their husbands’ arms, their champagne glasses, or both. 4. What do they consider to be an unforgivable action? Why?

Interestingly, I think it'd be the same for both of them -- anyone hurting the people they love. Even after Carewyn comes to grips with Rakepick being a very flawed human being after the events of the still unfinished Good!Rakepick AU, she's still never able to fully forgive what she did to Rowan. And Jacob hates his father Evan and Charles and the rest of the Cromwell Clan because of the pain they inflicted on Carewyn and Lane (as well as Duncan, in the Clan's case), far more than any of the grief and suffering they caused him. And well, considering that when both Cromwell kids love someone, they love them with all of their hearts, it's unsurprising that the deepest wound you could deliver to either of them is to the people they cherish most.

7: What does your character’s closet look like?

For many years, Tadhg and Cillian’s closets look the same. Jackets, waistcoats, shirts, trousers, breeches, cravats. They had very similar clothes, whatever was in style for the 1880s. Much of their closets were also taken over by wizarding garb. Robes, dress robes, hats. After their father died, their closets began to diverge.

Tadhg discovered blue jeans in the 1890s and fell in love with them. They quickly became a staple amongst his closet. He had a lot of the tradition clothing as well, but he’d ditched some of the more stifling aspects. He no longer wore cravats or breeches. Trousers were a common look.

Cillian’s closest remained pretty much the same. He liked his jackets, waistcoats, shirts, and trousers. He ditched the cravats in favor of ties. His clothes were often a dark color. Blacks, blues, and grays were common amongst his closet.

The 90s is big for the Arcanos. Just before the 90s started Kaari graduated Hogwarts. 1994 had the birth of Dayamanti who had the first Gift in about 100 years. 1997 was also big because in January Dafne was born which marked the second born with the Gift. In august the second war started and Kaari joined the PR. He then eventually got together with Semele which resulted in Siv being born in 2000 ending the decade.

I don’t know what else you might have wanted to know for that period? Lmk if there’s something specific!

A Bearded Surprise

Much thanks given to @drinkyoursoupbitch and her reaction to the unveiling of Ben's new beard. It is also how I imagine him during the Darkest Year. Enjoy!

1992

It was with some shock, as I entered the ministry, to see a very familiar blond head of hair loitering near the Fountain of Magical Brethren.

"Ben?!" I exclaimed. "What're -" I was stunned when he turned around, the words evaporating at his new appearance.

He was sporting a scruffy beard, like he'd been on a week-long work binge, much like some of the older students I'd noticed at uni, even this early on.

"Oh, Ellie!" he exclaimed, surprised at my appearance. I probably didn't look much better, and I winced at the slowly fading dark circles under his eyes. "What brings you to the ministry?"

I worked my jaw, willing the words to come, which they eventually did. Just not the ones I entirely expected. “Y- You've changed your looks..." before shaking my head. “I- Of course you did. I'm here because I need to renew my appariation licence." I rolled my eyes. “Apparently, the ministry is now set on keeping a close eye on those who’ve only been appariating for a couple years. What about you?”

Ben froze at my question, blinking a little at my whirlwind of words. “Erm,” he started, hand at the back of his neck. “Actually, same reason.” He stumbled a little over his words, and I grinned despite my annoyance at being there.

In this moment, I was strongly reminded of young!Ben. Despite having grown some more, and having gained a beard, he was still painfully familiar in other ways.

“Well, more like trying to transfer it to America,” he continued, shoving both hands into his jean pockets. “Considering I don’t feel up to talking with mum and da right now.”

I winced a little in sympathy. His parents hadn’t taken the news of him moving to America all that well, especially his mother. “Well, we can go together, then.”

Hi @ellie-e-marcovitz! Thanks for sending in an ask about him! These were some interesting ones!

12: I don’t think so, Danny had to work hard to endure through the trauma he faced as a young child. While it has had a significant impact on his life, I don’t think his struggles got worse to that point if that makes sense. 

13: Most likely, Danny is of the patient and understanding type, and he enjoys going on little escapades with his friends around the castle, maybe trying to uncover secret rooms. I’d be hesitant about getting caught so perhaps he could reassure me it would be fine and get me to stick with him. 

14: He would definitely want to be remembered as a supportive, compassionate and loyal friend.

16: Due to his rough upbringing, Danny is good at withstanding pain though he is somewhat cautious and would rather play it safe. A part of that is still present even in his most mischievous moments. Sometimes though if he’s in the moment and not fully aware, he may feel overconfident in taking risks.

17: The entire saga of Wallace, his father, turning into a deadbeat alcoholic who takes out his frustrations from work more severely on his children as his mental state worsens. He eventually dies after murdering a fellow Unspeakable on the job. Danny and Isaac have to endure the abuse, the older brother handling housework meant for the father until their mother manages to secure a long-overdue divorce and spirit them out of the house.

25: My favorite thing about Danny is his achievement of a stable social and academic life at Hogwarts with dear friends and wholesome adventures that he affectionately considers his found family.

7. Where is your OC's family from? Does your OC feel a close connection to that place? Why or why not?

Sophie’s family is from Wales, England, and Ireland. Her father’s family can be traced to Cardiff, Wales and County Roscommon through Max Pembroke, Counties Donegal and Tyrone, Ireland and Kent and Devon, England through William Devlin, and County Limerick, Ireland through her grandmother, Maureen Pembroke’s family. On her mother’s side, Sophie’s ancestry is mostly found in and around London, England.

Sophie does feel a connection to Ireland. She was born in Boyle, County Roscommon, Ireland and spent her whole life there. That’s the main reason why she feels such a connection to Ireland. She feels less connected to her Welsh and English roots. She’s visited London quite a bit over the years because that’s where her maternal grandparents were. She’s also been Cardiff once.

10. What's the first significant injury your OC remembers getting? Did it leave any scars?

The first significant injury that Sophie remembers getting is when she broke her arm. She was six at the time and was learning to ride a bike without training wheels. It didn’t go very well and when the bike veered off the pavement, Sophie wasn’t able to stop it. She broke her arm. This incident did not leave any scars, but it took another year for Sophie to learn how the to ride a two wheeler bike.
