Clavis Lelouch. More Love with the Beast. Ch. 3. Sweet & Premium (His POV) Ends
Chapter 3. Sweet End
The Kingdom of Lelouch is a vibrant and lively place. Because Clavis, as leader of the country, he is constantly looking for new ways to exist.
(I miss that quality..)
Clavis: You seem to think, "I must be a good fiancée," but that doesn't matter.
Clavis: I just want you to have all the fun, okay?
Clavis: You and I both have only one life. Then I want to live a life where I can do everything I want to do.
Clavis: Life is fulfilling only when you do all the things you want to do and enjoy them with all your heart, isn't it?
(Clavis is unbelievable.)
However, "Do what you want" is not as easy as it sounds.
In Clavis' country, though, it seems to me that everyone does what they want to do.
The only one who can't do it is MC.
Clavis: Don't compromise in finding what you want to do.
Clavis: Your sadness today will become an irreplaceable asset in the future.
Initially, Clavis believed what he thought was right, and no matter what anyone said, he would stick to that belief to the very end.
This delights the heroine. This is the foundation of Clavis, and the part she is deeply in love with.
The girl has forgotten to enjoy herself, and to have fun.
Clavis: You're in love with me, aren't you? But you can fall in love with me as much as you want, right?
MC: If you tell me I can fall in love with you without limit...
She fell in love with Clavis' way of thinking and living.
MC: ...Can I kiss you?
Clavis:.......
A long silence hangs. The heroine's face burns with embarrassment.
Clavis: ...Yes, of course, you're always welcome, right?
MC: Why are you averting your gaze from me then,?
Clavis: You're shy. You'd be nervous with a beautiful man's face so close to yours, wouldn't you?
MC, however, sees that his ears are flushed.
MC: Thank you.
Clavis: "Thank you"? For what?
MC: Thanks for teaching me how to have fun.
Even though the heroine is the King's fiancée, she wants to find something she wants to do.
Clavis: That's good. If I can help, I'll help.
Clavis: But now...
MC: Kya!?
Clavis grabs his fiancée by the waist and puts her on his lap.
Clavis: Will you take responsibility for provoking me?
They kiss.
━━━━━━━༻❀✿❀༺━━━━━━━
It's been a few days since the heroine accompanied Clavis. She has stopped working at the bookstore for now. Every day she discovers something new for herself.
MC: Clavis, can I ask you a question?
Clavis: What, do you want to know how much I love you? Okay, I'll tell you.
She noticed that business in the state was conducted more verbally than in writing. Whereas in Rhodolite there was a lot of paperwork, there was a lot of writing needed, there was none of that in the Lelouch Kingdom.
She thinks it was because of the "uniqueness" of Clavis' handwriting. After all, few people can decipher it.
Clavis: What do you mean? The common language in the Kingdom of Lelouch is Lelouchian. Of course, we can decipher it.
Clavis explains that many of the citizens of his country are refugees and poor people.
Clavis: Many were denied the opportunity for education and, as a result, could not read.
Clavis: Most of the people I have political discussions with are such people.
Clavis: Low literacy is one of the problems of our country. The quality of education is directly related to national strength.
Clavis: However, there are many other issues that should be prioritized.
(I really want to do something about it.)
(.......Countries with low literacy rates inevitably have lower demand for books.)
(In that case, Clavis country would become a country without books...)
MC: I don't like it, it's a serious problem!
MC has found what she wants to do.
MC: If Rhodolite is the land of roses and art, then this kingdom I want to make it - the land of books and pleasure.
MC: Specifically, we will promote books in this country, where many people cannot read.
MC: If we create educational opportunities, increase literacy, develop an interest in reading, and establish supply and demand, we can soon be a country where there is a bookstore on every corner.
We also need to develop the desire to write books, to create a technology where expensive books can be made more accessible to a wider public.
Clavis laughs because this is the first time she's seen her speak so honestly and passionately.
MC: ....I actually wish I'd gotten serious about literacy first.
The King likes her enthusiasm. He put his arm around the girl.
Clavis: Then I guess I'd better teach you how to run a country rather than how to behave.
Her fiancé wants to teach the heroine: how to make a plan, a budget, get people interested... These classes will be different from her work at the bookstore.
The girl agrees with these, she has a lot to learn, but she doesn't want to cause problems for Clavis.
She didn't finish, Clavis put his finger to her lips.
Clavis: There's no way I would consider what you're doing a "nuisance," you know?
He likes that MC accepts the challenge.
Clavis kisses his fiancée.
Clavis: Once we get home, I'll teach you how to do it right.
MC: Just for the record, aren't we talking about management?
Clavis: Hahaha, well, what would you like today?
Clavis: How to govern or how to love?
MC: What are those two options?
Clavis: You don't like it?
MC mumbles confusedly.
Clavis: Okay, I've made up my mind. Government business starts tomorrow.
Well, MC has seen a new path for herself and she's looking forward to starting.

Chapter 3. Premium End. His POV.
A few days later, a guest arrived in the Kingdom of Lelouch - it's Keith.
━━━━━━━༻❀✿❀༺━━━━━━━
Ever since MC became Clavis' official fiancée, he wanted to tell her something.
He suggests she do something nice. They have a whole other job waiting for them. It will be fun.
Routine gets in the way of personal growth.
(I just want you to live a happier life.)
Clavis: You seem to think, "I should be a good fiancée," but it doesn't matter.
Clavis: I just want you to have fun, okay?
Fortunately, these words seemed to reach MC's heart.
━━━━━━━༻❀✿❀༺━━━━━━━
The lessons began.
The heroine's suggestions were sensible, but lacked a budget.
The girl was naturally upset.
(Hmm, what a pretty face, no, no, no. I'm relaxing again.)
After MC decided to create a land of "books and pleasure" out of the kingdom, she began to study hard.
Task N1: Literacy Policy.
With brainstorming, the exchange of suggestions, ideas, and their return has been repeated many times. But the ideas are getting better and clearer.
MC definitely has potential.
(If we keep growing at this rate, I'm sure we'll become the "big bad guys" who will be famous all over the world.)
Cyril calls out to the girl to remind her that she has to go to the bookstore. Lessons are over for the day.
(.....O, crap. We didn't kiss goodbye again today.)
The heroine is still working at the bookstore. In doing so, she takes on new tasks. She has absolutely no free time.
She leaves. Clavis sighs sadly. Cyril tells him not to be too hard on MC and to help her with her idea.
But Clavis has a different idea. His fiancée needs "failure."
Clavis: It's easy for me to spoil her. With my help, the idea will come to fruition even today.
However, it doesn't help. The heroine is happy with the difficulty and enjoys the hard work. They both enjoy it.
For him, love is not about spoiling his beloved, but about letting him make as many mistakes as possible.
Cyril: Sorry, I was naive.
Clavis: Haha, you're a born knight, so it can't be helped.
Cyril grumbles.
At least Clavis said he wouldn't spoil his bride, but he wants to help.
━━━━━━━༻❀✿❀༺━━━━━━━
Meeting with Keith.
Keith tells him that he saw MC. She seems fascinated by politics. She even asked him for advice.
(...........What?)
Keith came to the Lelouch Kingdom to discuss refugee issues with Clavis.
Keith's words shocked Clavis.
Cyril, who was walking with him, poked him with his elbow, but he couldn't fix the look on his face.
Keith: I never thought Ms. MC would be actively involved in public affairs.
Keith: She seems to have a lot of fun thinking about her country.
Keith: I should follow her lead.... Um, Mr. Clavis?
The King Lelouch is not happy.
Keith: ...Why, why are you making such a scary face? I wonder if I said something offensive, sorry!
Clavis copes with his emotions. And habitually smiles.
Clavis: Prince Keith, is it true that MC "consulted" you?
Keith is confused. Perhaps thinking that Clavis is jealous of MC for him, Keith is quick to congratulate him on his engagement.
Keith: For MC... I'm like the weeds that grow around here.
Clavis laughs and says "at least as a tree."
Keith doubts that his "existence" can be equated with a "tree."
Clavis doesn't really care how his fiancée feels about Keith.
He cares about something else. MC never asked for advice, never consulted him. She only offered and he told her what was wrong.
Every morning he takes suggestions, but it's just business, not counseling.
(I want to be consulted by MV, too. I want to be told, "You're so reliable, Clavis".)
Clavis thanks Keith, who doesn't understand why.
━━━━━━━༻❀✿❀༺━━━━━━━
Clavis: When I get home, I'll advise MC.
Cyril: You said you wouldn't spoil lady MC, didn't you?
Clavis: Hahaha, what are you talking about?
Cyril: .....🙄
(Better to discard that belief than to let another man be your counselor.)
━━━━━━━༻❀✿❀༺━━━━━━━
That night, when Clavis came into MC's room and asked if there was anything he could discuss with her, anything he could do to help, she shook her head.
Clavis doubts her words, he makes it clear that he knows Keith was helping her.
The girl doesn't deny it. But already Keith has helped her.
(What... it was already too late...)
(No, I had a vague premonition of that.)
The king staggered and sat down on the bed.
The heroine is faltering. Clavis replies that he feels his own helpless, pathetic state.
(Seriously, it's important not to pamper MC and watch her hard work.)
(But... if she feels uncomfortable asking for help, that's a different story.)
In discussing politics, in solving problems, their relationship is like that of a boss and a subordinate, but Clavis doesn't want MC to keep quiet about what's bothering her. That makes him a bad suitor.
The sight of a sad Clavis touched the girl, and she hugged him.
Her breasts were at the level of his face.
He caught his breath at the sudden "dere/ tenderness" of his fiancée.
MC: I don't know what's wrong with you, but take care of yourself, okay?
Clavis: ....Then will you listen to me?
MC agrees and strokes his hair.
Clavis: I want you to rely on me.
Clavis: You have to consult your fiancé first. Of course, I'm not going to interfere with what you're doing.
Clavis: I try to keep my help to a minimum. But counseling is always open, you know?
(If you feel uncomfortable talking to me, we need to think about how to interact with each other. )
This is a serious question for the future.
The girl was sorry to take up his time. Clavis says that being with her is his favorite hobby and activity.
Clavis: Didn't I tell you this morning that I have plenty of time for you?
Clavis: So, when you have a problem, think of me first. Other men can come after that.
(I also "loved" you so much that I almost forgot the important things.)
Instead of pampering MC, it's more important to be the person she can rely on the most in trouble.
Now she will consult with him.
Clavis realizes the position they are in now.
He presses his lips against the well-formed bulge peeking out of the top of her blouse. The heroine panics and tries to break free from the embrace. But Clavis holds her tightly and kisses her on the lips.
MC says she is still working on the idea. But a bad idea crosses his mind as he kisses her lips to discourage work.
Clavis declares that he falls asleep and still arrives in a sad mood.
Clavis: I won't let you go until you get me in a good mood.
MC laughs.
MC: It's easy to please Clavis, isn't it?
Clavis: Oops, I didn't expect you to think of me as such an easy-going man...
The girl offered her lap as a pillow.
Clavis: ....
He's easy to figure out.
(I won't let it end with just lap pillow, though...?)

Maybe More People Are Arospec (Part 1)
Maybe More People Are Arospec, 1/4 - I return, a month later with increasingly spicy takes 😩
... anwyay, welcome to my new series! 🐸🐸 It’s again something that’s been in the works for a while (hence the hairstyle change lol, I started drawing this 4 months ago). As for the comic itself, I think most of what I have to say about the subject will come in the next few parts, so please bear with me as I try to get it out while I deal with studio chaos 😭
For this particular l post - I did want to talk about how much pressure exists, socially, to go out with other people even when you’re not exactly “feeling it”. While the example illustrated is a bit … direct 😅 (though I feel like I’ve seen this exact plot at LEAST once in a sitcom), it unfortunately is a sentiment I feel, at least, that amatonormativity pushes onto people. And whether it’s something someone pressures themselves into, or is peer pressured by others into - it’s always confused me why anyone would think it’s a good idea. If someone doesn't seem ready to go on a date/pursue some kind of romantic action ... why should they feel any pressure to do so? If they do have feelings and they're not ready, the date will only be more enjoyable if they're in the right frame of mind. And if they don't have feelings ... why should they force themselves to do that? 😭😭😔
I don't know, I guess it makes me question, like why is it that choosing to stay single is always seen as the “boring” and “sad” option? And perhaps more importantly, why is it generally socially acceptable to pressure someone into doing anything they may not want to? 🤷🏻♀️
[Image Description:
Slide 1: Celia sits on a green armchair in a living room, speaking to the reader, "You know, I’ve thought about it quite a bit, and I have a flaming hot take -"
Slide 2: "MAYBE more people are actually arospec! And they just don’t realize it?"
A chibi version of Celia stands presenting the take, which is hand lettered in a large font.
Slide 3: Celia continues speaking, "Amatonormativity doesn’t even let people consider the possibility of no romantic feelings at all whatsoever -"
Slide 4: If you’re not straight, then you must be by default gay.
In the center of the slide two blank people are drawn. On the left, a person with a "straight" symbol drawn on the chest with a number of question marks around them. An arrow to the right shows the same person, now with a gay male symbol drawn. They appear to be confused.
Being arospec (and in a broader sense, aspec) isn’t an option.
Slide 5: Celia continues, "And maybe people don’t necessarily want romance that strongly – I feel like the social pressure to do it plays a big factor."
Slide 6: "It's a common trope I see in media, where someone is feeling uncertain about their romantic life, and their friends push them into going out -"
A scene is drawn with two random characters. A south asian boy with an undercut is shown speaking to a white girl with long wavy brown hair who is sitting at her desk reading a book. He says "Aw, come on, I know you like him! Hey you know I could introduce you -", while she says "I- I don't know if I'm, uh, ready for that-"
Slide 7: "- even though they might be showing signs of visible discomfort?"
The scene continues. The is drawn pushing her towards her crush (a taller east asian boy). He says "Just go talk, it'll be ok-" while she makes out a "eep!". She looks visibly distressed and startled, while her crush seems confused about the situation.]
