At breakfast, Victor was talking about the unexpected incident that occured during my first job as the “fairytale keeper”.

Victor: That’s right! If Jude and Ellis protect Kate, our secrets will be kept safe too.

Victor: At the same time, Kate will also be able to observe the two of you up close and write everything down in her records…

Victor: It’s like killing two birds with one stone!

Victor: What do you think, Ellis?

Ellis: I’m fine with it if Kate is.

Ellis: Just because no one was hurt yesterday doesn't mean that sort of thing won't happen again… I want to be by Kate's side in case.

Victor smiled in response to Ellis and turned to Jude.

Victor: Of course you'll take this new responsibility seriously, right, Jude? You hate doing favours, don't you?

Jude: Tch…

Ever since having my life threatened because I was with Ellis and being mistaken for “Jude Jazza’s woman”, I couldn't help but feel wary of Jude.

Jude: Don’t you start wailing when you get caught in a scary situation, princess.

Kate: I’ll be fine. I’m surprisingly tough!

Jude: … Hah.

Jude snorted and went back to reading the newspaper.

Ellis: Then it’s decided. I’m looking forward to working with you, Kate.

Kate: I look forward to working with you too.

Unlike Jude, Ellis returned a soft smile.

Ellis: By the way, you can be more casual with me.

Kate: Huh…?

Ellis: You could say “yeah, me too” or something.

Kate: Y-Yeah… me too.

Ellis: Mm, much better.

I felt comforted by Ellis’ warm vibes.

Victor: Administrative matters aside, now let’s talk about your mission.

I straightened my back and listened attentively to Victor’s words.

(This will be my first real job as the fairytale keeper.)

I bear in mind that this was important in helping me gain their trust.

Victor: — Truth is, there is something I want you to collect information on.

Victor: It’s regarding the series of kidnapping cases happening all over London.

Kate: Kidnapping…?

That dangerous word brought back the same anxiousness I felt when I met the members of Crown for the first time.

Victor: Correct. The victims’ ages ranged from infants, to adolescents, and even grown adults.

Victor: One thing they have in common is that the adults were either prostitutes or street performers.

Victor: Popular songstresses from taverns have gone missing… many of them lived unstable lives without proper residential addresses.

Jude: Because the victims weren't people of high importance and mostly didn't have fixed addresses, no one reported them missing.

Jude: As usual, the police aren’t going to do anything about it either.

Unfortunately, like Jude mentioned, people who worked in the entertainment district were often looked down upon.

In that world of glitz and glamour, they were treated like pieces of trash in a garbage dump.

Victor: So, about the mission…

Victor: Have you heard about the ongoing art fair in London, the one with a few performers gathered there?

Kate: Yes. The scale of the event is not as big as the social season, but it’s rather crowded.

Victor: I want Jude and Ellis to go to that art fair and collect the necessary information.

Victor: These people may be vagrants, but they’re more bonded than you think.

Jude: Why do I have to go? This is useless.

Victor: Remember the human traffickers you dealt with in private? They might be connected to this case.

Victor: This has gone too far, don’t you think? Besides… today's your first day off in a long time.

That sounded like information Victor wouldn't be aware of, unless someone told him. Jude shot a glare at someone…

Jude: … Ellis.

Ellis: He asked, so I answered honestly. Sorry.

(The power balance between these two might surprisingly be of equal level…)

Victor: See you!

Victor sent us off with his cheerful voice and we headed for our mission.

(The fair is even more crowded this time round…!)

Colourfully decorated stalls lined the venue of the art fair and delicious aromas wafted through the air.

The people were entertained by not only the food, but also the street artists painting and performers showcasing their talents on stages around the city.

Walking around the fair, I couldn't help feeling immersed in the lively atmosphere.

(Oh no, I’m getting too carried away… I must focus on our mission.)

(Right. I should ask him now.)

Kate: Ellis. Jude. Could you tell me about your curses?

Ellis: We haven't told you yet?

Ellis: I have the curse of the “Briar Bushes”, and Jude has the curse of the “13th Fairy”.

Ellis: They’re based on a motif called “The Thorn Princess (Sleeping Beauty)”.

The 13th fairy was an antagonist who placed a deadly curse on the princess out of spite for not being invited to her birthday party.

As I thought hard about it, Jude suddenly stopped in his tracks and turned around languidly.

Jude: We don’t need a party of three. You go in the other direction to search for information.

Ellis: What about protecting Kate?

Jude: You’ll be fine doing that alone.

Without another word, Jude disappeared into the sea of people.

Kate: … Does he hate me, by any chance?

Ellis: I don’t think so, he treats everyone like that.

Ellis: His intention was probably to protect you from danger by avoiding being seen with you.

(Hmm, I don't really think so…)

I swallowed those words that I almost blurted out.

Kate: … If that’s the case, he’s actually rather kind-hearted, isn't he?

Ellis: I wouldn't say that. He loves hearing the people he hates scream in pain.

Kate: …

Ellis was the total opposite of him, showing kindness to everyone he met.

As though to prove me right, people all around us started approaching him the moment Jude left.

Flushed Man: Oh, you over there! Thanks for taking care of me that day!

Ellis: You’re welcome. Remember to drink in moderation today.

Kate: This is…?

Ellis: I found him passed out on the streets the other day, so I piggybacked him home. I don't know his name.

Kate: Eh!?

(You brought a random stranger home and nursed him back to health!?)

That wasn’t the only thing that left me in shock—.

Furniture Artisan: Business has been booming thanks to Ellis promoting my works to people!

Bespectacled Student: I’m so glad to run into you again! Um, I’d like to repay you for helping me fix my bike, could I have your contact information…

Cat: Nyaa.

I could tell that Ellis did many good deeds on a daily basis.

Kate: I’m a postwoman, and yet you’re even more well-known than I am…!

Ellis smiled gleefully as he watched the people smiling around him.

Watching Ellis’ interactions with the people in town brought those words to my mind.

Despite having personally witnessed his kindness… that question surfaced in my mind.

Ellis: Kate, Kate.

Kate: … Oh, I’m so sorry! I got lost in thought.

I came back to my senses and noticed Ellis peering into my face up close with his head tilted in puzzlement…

Ellis: Were you thinking about me?

Kate: …!?

Our eyes met at a close distance like a pair of lovers gazing at each other, sending my heart into a frenzy.

(Ellis doesn't seem to be conscious of it, but… this is too close.)

The situation was the same as when he went to see me in my room the morning after I came to Crown’s castle.

It was the second time seeing his twilight coloured eyes up close.

Feeling my cheeks turn red from the embarrassment, I turned my eyes away from him.

Ellis: Ah, hit the nail on the head.

Kate: How did you know?

Ellis: Hmm… just a hunch, I guess?

Ellis handed me a steaming mug with a smile.

Ellis: Here, I bought this milk tea from that shop over there while you were lost in thought about me.

Ellis: This is to thank you for helping me with my mail the other day.

(... Ellis is awesome…)

Ellis’ eyelashes lowered and he lightly blew on the cup of milk tea before taking a sip.

Ellis: If there’s anything you want to ask me, feel free to.

Kate: … Understood.

Ellis: Just “okay” is good.

Kate: … Ellis, why did you join Crown?

Ellis: Victor recruited Jude to join Crown, then Jude said OK and I joined too, I guess?

(You joined just because Jude did…?)

Kate: Why are you always with Jude?

Ellis: You have many questions, huh.

Ellis smiled and held his mug in both hands.

Ellis: My life was a mess before I met Jude. I moved from place to place, never having anywhere to settle down.

Ellis: When I came to London, I met Jude by coincidence.

Ellis: Some stuff happened, and we made a deal.

Kate: A deal…?

Ellis: That I’ll work for Jude, and he’ll comply with my request in return.

Ellis: So… we’ll be sticking together until the time comes when he fulfils his side of the deal.

My next question gave me a feeling that something might happen if I heard the answer, causing a stir in my chest.

Kate: What request did you make…?

Ellis: It's—

Performer with Flashy Hat: What is going on!?

(...!?)

The sudden yelling made me jump in shock and look in its direction.

Behind us, in the back of a temporary stage, a performer was scratching his head in distress.

Performer with Flashy Hat: Two people can’t make it for the performance… this is a DISASTER…!

(Two people… two performers… could it be?)

Kate: Ellis.

Ellie: … Yeah.

— “The victims of the serial kidnappings were often prostitutes or street performers”.

We exchanged looks and headed towards the distressed performer.

Kate: Um, excuse me.

Flashy Hat: Hm? Oh. My apologies, Miss, but my show has been postponed by another 10 minutes!

Ellis: We heard you saying just now that two people can’t make it to the show…

Flashy Hat: My buddy who is supposed to perform with me has gone missing without a word.

Flashy Hat: Geez, lots of people have been disappearing into thin air lately… it’s starting to get suspicious.

(Multiple people… going missing…)

(If we ask this person more about the disappearances, we might find something.)

Ellis: If it's alright with you, could you please tell us more?

Flashy Hat: Sorry, but I really don't have the time for that right now! Even if I have to do it alone, I must think of what to perform up on stage.

The performer shooed us away… but stopped and looked at us again as though he had just gotten an idea.

Flashy Hat: If you guys help me out with the show, that’ll be a whole other story.

Flashy Hat: Haha! I’m just kidding. Being short-handed is one thing, but it's a strict rule to never allow amateurs on stage.

He shook his head, seemingly to dismiss his suggestion as an impulsive one.

Ellis took a step closer.

Ellis: Help? What kind?

Flashy Hat: Haha! You’re serious about this? I was merely joking.

Ellis: But you said that you’ll tell us the details if we help you, didn't you?

Flashy Hat: … What? Hey man, you guys got a problem or something?

His friendly face twisted.

Flashy Hat: Giving out information about my buddies puts them in danger.

Flashy Hat: I can’t guarantee that you two don't have ill intentions. We're strangers that just met.

Kate: How can we earn your trust?

Flashy Hat: Let me think…

Flashy Hat: If you guys are willing to be used as a target for knife throwing, or tied up and thrown into a tank…

Flashy Hat: I’ll trust you.

(Target for knife throwing…!?)

Ellis: Okay. I’m good at that stuff.

Ellis unhesitatingly proceeded with the negotiations while I stood there, baffled.

(Ellis is so confident when it comes to negotiations. It must’ve come from his experience in working with Jude…)

Ellis agreed to help the performer with the show, but negotiations didn't go as we expected.

Flashy Hat: Tch tch tch… you alone isn’t going to be enough. That lady has to help out too.

Kate: Wha…!?

Ellis: … Why?

Flashy Hat: Perform, of course!

Flashy Hat: Just think of it. A tragic story about lovers being torn apart, building up and coming to a tear-jerking finale! The audience will definitely love it.

(... Knife throwing… being tied up in a tank…)

Ellis looked at me worriedly when he noticed my face turning pale.

Ellis: Kate, you don’t have to do it if you don't want to.

(Victor has done this knife throwing thing before, so Ellis will be fine with that.)

My physical abilities were nowhere nearly as good as Ellis’, and yet…

Whether or not we would get information from that person depended on me.

Ikevil Wrapped in Wicked Romance story event route with the premium ending + epilogue for Alfons…

Unpopular opinion but I admit I loved it

The content warning is very real! If you don't like, don't read, just put it on auto if you want the blouse/event completion lol But the cw only made me more curious about him and the route did not disappoint in showing how twisted and spicy and wonderfully villainous Alfons's ability can be! Like William's ability will make you take the knife to cut your throat with your heart bursting out of your chest and your skin turned to ice. Alfons's ability, meanwhile, will have you willingly take the object in his hand and go where he leads with a smile on your face and joy in your heart.

While Alfons's ability can take away your perception of reality, I liked how he never used it to make anyone, least of all the MC, feel bad.

And I did like how unapoletically he was about what he did, especially since, in his own twisted way, he was creating this route's illusion for the MC's sake.

Some may remember way back when Ikevamp Arthur's main route dropped and I seethed over what happened in like chapter 4. Arthur's pseudo-sexual assault intended to punish and scare the MC for getting involved in a house of vampires. Ikevil's MC is an actual hostage at Crown where she needs to prove her loyalty or lose her life. Alfons could easily have fallen into a similar Arthur-like trap of treating MC like a fly caught in a spider's web, and punishing her for putting her nose in the wrong place.

But he didn't!!!

MC was traumatized from walking in on the prologue murder, and to follow Alfons for the day meant she would be forced to face even more bloodshed because that's what Crown does! But MC (and me as the reader whoops) weren't thinking about that part; we were thinking about the silly pretend lover mission part. So it was simultaneously shocking yet hilarious how quick Alfons was to enchant MC into thinking he was her lover. Like that man did not miss a beat in going from enchanting her to convincing her to getting that first kiss. I can't even be mad because he is supposed to be a villain, so go ahead and have the kiss, sir...!

The rest of the story is written so well in a surreal kind of way. I think I'm just very into this veneer of sweet and soft with the sense of danger lurking underneath. Even when we get the meat of the dubcon, it felt dark but like in a fairy/spirited away kind of dark.

And I think this route and that content warning worked because of the MC. Her observations, her internal dialogue, her internal conflicts, her anger, her desire--they held the spotlight even while Alfons led most of the way.

The question now is which event route to pick next? I've completed two premium routes (Alfons and Ellis) and I should be able to do one more route (I've estimated four premium routes are just out of reach at around 43.7k unless I want to spend). I'm not that interested in Victor or Harrison, tbh (I'd love to hear from people that favor them!) so at the moment I'm inclined to go for Ellis's bitter end (or even Alfons's bitter end). Are the bitter ends darker? Anyone have any recommendations?

As a side note for main routes, I've put William on hiatus at chapter 18 and switched to Liam. That Liam performs a particular play surprised me and made me super happy, because that play is one of my favorites, so a great start! His route has some serious content warnings so let's go...!

I just watched IkeVil EN Official Trailer and noticed something.

Roger's curse is Double-Crossing Hunter.

Is that a hint that Roger will double-cross Crown? Another secret group? Crown's enemy/rival group?

Is that why his main story is not released after his two snow white fellow cursed?

I know some people are going to argue about me putting ikegen in every where but listen....do you think Cybird would take a bold move and produce something different in the future?

Let be honest here. No hate no bias. Ikesen, Ikerev and Ikevamp all have similar base story but in different setting.

Ikesen: Sengoku setting

Ikerev: Alternate magical London

Ikevamp: 19th Century Paris....or is it 18th?

And all the three titles have two things in common: 1. A MC who is from a different timeline/universe and, 2. Time limit. When I played these three games, I didn't care much about these two things because I was still relatively new to the Ikemen series. But later I got tired of the Time limit bullshit condition because it just feels forced and I don't think two people will fall deeply in love in just one month. (hey at least ikesen had 3 months). Some players had their problems with this setting but overall everyone enjoyed it because this is what cybird was mainly known for? Cybird trope.

The next two titles, Ikelive and Ikegen, brought changes. MC is from the same time line as the male characters and there is no time limit. This brings a breath of fresh air as the MCs can take their sweet time to understand and be friends with everyone and also she doesn't have to worry about whether she could stay with the male lead or not (because there are no bad endings). So the main focus of the story can be something else. But unfortunately Ikelive ended before it could even celebrate its 1st year Anniversary and Ikegen....well...at least it was on life support for 4 years, right? IDK much about Ikelive, but people loved Ikegen because it was something different from the regular Cybird games.

Next are, Ikepri and Ikevil, probably the most successful games after Ikesen. I feel like Ikesen, brought them success and Ikepri and Ikevil are the current most successful games. Ikepri...let just accept it, it really benefited because of covid and it was a fresh game at that time so everyone was excited including me. Ikevil well, again it's still relatively new. Both these games have MCs from the same timeline but they did kept the annoying 'time limit' aspect. When I saw that, I was like 'why?' because I thought Cybird is making changes. You know, bringing something new and fresh and bold. I really hoped that both the games contained the ridiculous, brain-dead and nonsensical humor of Ikegen for fun but no. Both games are good on their own and players are enjoying it. Good!

But, after seeing what happened to Ikerev, Ikelive and Ikegen, do you think Cybird would try and do something bold like Ikegen in the future thinking that it won't be successful? Or do you think they'll slowly go back to being the old cybird, where their next game will have MC from a different time line and there will be time-limits in their story lines?

Also Ikevamp fans....giving you guys a heads up, because it seems like you're going to be the next target...

William Rex Route Review

Okay~ Finally, I sat down and completed William's route today morning.....till 4 am. Yes, I have no life and my opinion is....it's kinda good! Honestly, a part of me was expecting it would be a snoozefest and another part of me was like 'Don't worry, it's gonna be fine. You'll love it!"

Usually when I play an Otome game, if the game doesn't manage to impress me within the first 30 minutes, I'll just immediately uninstall it and would never download it ever again. But I have a soft corner for the Ikemen series because their games really fill up my lonely heart....anyways. I'm not gonna sit here and compare Ikemen series with Voltage games or anything. We'll only compare ikemen games with other ikemen games!

I thought that Ikegen was gonna be my fav game forever and I used to think I wouldn't love another game and its characters as much as I love Ikegen. I mean look at Yoshino, for example! Do you really think any MCs could ever beat her? She's honestly the best thing to come out of Cybird and very thankful to them that I finally got an MC I could truly love!! Since Ikegen set the bar up really high, I was hoping the next upcoming game to be even better or at least the same as Ikegen........and then we got something that I don't even wanna talk about :/

So I was skeptical about the projects after that and then we got the news about Koihana. It got me interested, but it wasn't exactly a game in the 'Ikemen series'. There is no 'ikemen' in the title. Not that I won't play, I will when it comes out when I have time. After that out of nowhere, they dropped the teaser for Ikevil and I was SHOCKED!! because I was expecting a teaser of Koihana that day. I was honestly shocked that we're actually getting two new games for the 10th anniversary. The bgm in the teaser was so good (but too bad they didn't use that bgm even once in the whole game!) and I got intrigued about the characters, how they are gonna look, the MC, what's the story about, whose the artist, MC's role blah blah blah etc etc...I was super hyped.

Then the game came out and I played. Like I said, if the game doesn't impress me within the first 30 mins, I was gonna immediately uninstall it, because what's the point in playing if you're not gonna enjoy it, right? I need that 'first impression' to be the best impression! Honestly, I wasn't expecting a gore scene IN the prologue. I thought the prologue would be nice, calming, and maybe a little bit violence here and there...BUT NO! They didn't hold back at all and I LOVED IT! It got me really excited.

I started with William's route because I was planning to translate it and was expecting a lot more gore. William's route is good..................if you can sit through at least 15 chapters without sleeping, then I guarantee you that you will enjoy it. This is also coming from a person whose fav type is not William. Let me divide William's main story into two parts, without giving as many spoilers as possible. The first 1 to 3 chapters are okay. It just gives basic info about William, his personality, and other characters....simply basic stuff. The chapters from 4 to 14, are basically filled with William and his friends doing various missions and William helping Kate to be honest with her desires. It's mainly the bonding stage and I wasn't really into it because I felt like nothing was happening. Even William and Kate's interactions were alright, didn't get me that excited at all.

The story was moving really slowly and it felt like a lot was happening but I wasn't finding anything exciting. There was no 'real' conflict for example, there is no enemy that is terrorizing the Crown. The Crown members look severely overpowered and they are killing all the butterflies without breaking a sweat. The Crown members having these abilities as the 'cursed ones' is honestly very op if you use it in the right way at the right time. There is not much hand-to-hand combat which I personally love watching and translating. But I also love that they are all working together on these missions in groups. It's not like each member is assigned a different mission. All the members have faith in each other and help out each other when doing missions. No egos are clashing, no unnecessary fights, I love that about Crown, even though they all state that they are not friends.

So In between I was thinking...."What's the real threat here? What is Kate's role? Is her role only going to be just standing around and watching people die? Because if it is, then it's very boring."

It was only after chapter 18, that I really ended up liking William's route. William after chapter 18, is one hell of a badass character. There is this certain scene in chap 19 that I really love and it really caught me off guard for a second. There are some lines said by him that I really love. I can't wait to translate that chap and the madness ending. Also, William and Kate's relationship gets really fun. It's cuter and William keeps teasing her whenever he gets a chance (reminds me of a certain other King with black hair and blue eyes who is also cursed!).

The route has some gore and creepy scenes which are really good in showing how horrifying the world actually is. There is no filter. It feels like no one is safe. I don't even know why because at some point, I thought that there is going to be a scene where Kate is also gonna be injected with drugs. I don't know why I thought something like that, maybe in the future, some golden butterfly member will kidnap and inject drugs into her or something to mess up with the male lead's mind....who knows? But it feels like Cybird is not holding back with this one.

Now, coming to Kate. As an MC, I think she's good. She's very nice, caring, understanding, and possessive (lol). I like her a lot. I feel like out of all the Ikemen series MCs, Kate is the only one that has some sort of character development. She goes from being this shy and reserved person to more lively and talkative. It's kinda cute. She gets more bold in the latter half and doesn't shy away from expressing what she wants to do. I like that. Thank god, cybird didn't end up ruining her character in an attempt to make her look pure-hearted. The only, drawback I have with her is her job as a 'fairy tale master'. Honestly, it's such a.....meh job for some reason. She doesn't really get to do much, she only has to stand at the side and watch the male leads mutilating people. It's kind of boring because she has no real goal in life. I thought her job was to find a way to break the curses of the Crown members but no, she simply writes reports that are to be submitted to the Queen. *Sighs* it's fine, I still like her though and I hope her personality doesn't change once I switch routes, or else I will be mad.

Final thoughts, not bad as the first route. I mean it's still the 'first route' and I'm sure the future routes will be crazier....especially Jude's route (I hope I don't die before that!). I feel like his route is going to be before Victor. But still, William's route did a good job in making me wanna continue playing this game, so that's a plus for me. If not, I would have uninstalled it immediately, waited for Jude route, and re-install it then.

I was thinking to start Harry's route next (not translating that btw!) but I'm restarting William's route again to get the other ending not because I'm poor and saving up gold for Harry's route, pfffttt not at all!

I've noticed that Ellis is a bit different compared to the other characters and this post will show what I thought was "different" about him cause I really just want to talk about IkeVil. I think that he has an important role somehow. Reminder: I'm probably over-analyzing what CYBIRD showed us for Ellis and what I'm pointing out is probably not what it's supposed to be like an English teacher saying the blue curtain has a significance. This is just for fun.

First of all, he was the only character wearing the Crown while the others are just holding it. Not even Victor is wearing it, I thought it was strange when I first saw it considering their organization's name was Crown and why would Ellis be the one to wear it rather than William or Victor? (Wether it's for foreshadowing purpose or they ran out of poses for him to do, I will forever be grateful that this was released).

Second of all, he's really the only one who's described as "nice" in the organization even though he's still a bit creepy. This doesn't sound like much but this is an organization that fights evil with evil, it's odd by itself that he's "nice".

My final main point is that in the Official PV all of the characters, besides Victor who's narrating, is saying something romantic or related to their character. The starters' lines are about their curse while Elbert, Alfonse, Roger and Jude has a romantic line. However, Ellis' line was "I'll kill you someday." That was really surprising when I first saw it, and compared to the others (again besides Victor) his lines aren't necessarily romantic and his voice lines before this didn't directly say that he wants to kill us. Especially since CYBIRD showed us that he was a character who looked for people's happiest moment. I mean you can consider him killing you romantic but… Well this is a PV, and even Jude had a romantic line which I'm assuming is to invite players to play the dating game but why is Ellis' different? He had a lot of romantic lines before this and probably more in the game but why specifically "I'll kill you someday"?

These last ones are minor details that I caught because I've reached this far might as well stretch my theory as far as it can since Ellis is the second last character. This part might be a bit annoying since it's most likely a coincidence they used Ellis for these.

In the new Escort system, Ellis' affection is a lot more than William, Elbert and Victor. Ellis' affection level being 23 is significantly more than William's affection level at 11 along with Elbert and Victor's affection level at 4. Maybe this is just a way to show that the affection limit is 23 since Ellis' progression is at 0.

As much as he is cute as a doll, why is Ellis with the starters? I feel like it would make sense for Harrison to be here since he's already shown in the PV and is a starter.

To conclude, this is all just for fun and I'm probably blowing this out of proportion. I think it'd be interesting if he does play an important role in the story but even if he doesn't it's still fine. I'm looking forward to Ikemen Villain's release ^^, thank you if you read this far.

Since the theme is the villains, maybe we should be prepared for dark, angst, tragedy and unpleasant things which is more than Ikepri or Ikevamp story 👍

At first I thought the theme of Ikevil's story would be witches in the 19th century lol. Since villains/angst/dark stories become popular, Cybird dared to take this idea. Even though actually I'm still quite sad about Ikerev and Ikelive, especially Ikelive which i never played at all

So about that Ikevil Wrapped in Wicked Romance story event route with the premium ending + epilogue for Ellis

I absolutely loved it! I started this game because he caught my eye and, while I know it's just one little event route, I got exactly what I wanted~

Which was me kicking my heels in the air and giggling over how sweet and gentle and attentive he was~

While also shaking because there is a delicious sense of foreboding that this guy really would kill MC if she said the exact words he wanted to hear

Like that innocent conversation while he was peeling apple was SO GOOD with the tension, y'all. This is the kind of twisted content I want from a game called Ikemen Villains!

Plus Jude's short exchange with MC in the epilogue followed by Ellis's arrival at breakfast really had me split between 'MC, you're playing with danger, girl' and 'OMG ELLIS HI!!!' which was nice because MC was exactly the same lmao

Which also takes me back to when Ellis and MC were at the market and someone asked him, "Hey, are you still working at that dangerous mobster's company?" because all these people honestly see Ellis as the sweetest cinnamon roll, too good for this world, too pure! And they're right But by the end of this event, I'm left considering that Ellis might actually be the more dangerous one of the two... And Jude might be doing everyone a favor keeping Ellis in check and busy with work...

I'm glad knowing Ellis's main route is out in JP so I won't have to wait forever ♡

Just wanna ask if this is possible... if the ikegen server will end by step 2024, can you or will you translate other suitors route you didn't? Like Benkei? Yoichi and others?

Also, I was shocked when they announce they would end the server when I was still hoping for an English release. I really thought it would be famous cause I thought many people are fans of ayakashi and historical japan stuffs, right?

You can still play the game even after Sep 2024. Your progress, cards, avatar items etc..all will be still there. But there won't be any new events or new stories.

I can translated stories if I want but I don't know if people would be interested in a dead game. Also my internship would be starting so I have to make time to play and translate games. It's going to hectic. I don't think I can translate main stories of the other male leads because it's too much work and by that time, new cybird game would be released and everyone including me will start playing that.

So yeah.

Also, eng titles for the games will only be announced if the Jp market is doing well. Compare to Ikepri and Ikevil which released after Ikegen, was anyone even talking about Ikegen? I am asking the eng players. When Ikepri came out, there were eng players here playing the jp title. Even when Ikevil came out, there were many eng players here playing the jp title. What about Ikegen? How many of you guys were playing the jp title when it was still available?.....No one right? Everyone was like "I'll only play once the eng ver comes out." Did it come out? No! Why? Because very little people were showing interest in playing it. That's why we didn't get an eng release because the devs thought that we weren't interested in it.

They were barely hanging on. Even the Jp fandom could see it. The Jp fandom was happy that the game was still ongoing and when the news hit on Valentines day, all the Jp fandom was depressed. Many of them are even filling questionnaires and feedback forms to let the devs know that they want this game to continue. But I don't think anything is going to change because even if they brought back the game, people are not going to play it.

Editing me: The sad part is, the devs might now think that a story like Ikegen won't be profitable and well liked by the players and they might not create a game similar to it. It seems like Ikegen really felt like a passion project and maybe that's why they kept hanging on until 2024. After seeing the revenue for the recent update, maybe they thought continuing the game won't be profitable because this game had so many things like card stories, new card illustrations for every new events, new voice lines etc. Some of the stories are even outsourced by the company.

I love supernatural demon related stuff a lot and I also love how they mixed it with jp historical stuff. That too, a historical period which is rarely talked about. The Heian period. It's too sad that in the future, they might not make historical related stories ever again?

Also I hope that cybird's next game is not idol related. I don't really like Idol-related games because it's just not my vibe. Let's just hope that their next game is something like 'Ikemen Mafia' or 'Ikemen Demons' or 'Ikemen Gods' who knows....or maybe they could create a spin off games in the same universe as the main games. I don't know...I'm just going to really miss Genjiden. I wish I could turn back time and encourage people to play the game when it came out.
