Mathematics in Nature

Mathematics in nature involves the simplest things in the environment such as the number of arms a snowflake has or the Fibonacci spiral of a nautilus shell and a pinecone (Life Facts, 2015). Additionally, honeycombs have hexagonal figures and multiple mathematical patterns are seen in the wide expanse of the Milky Way Galaxy. Lastly, human faces also contain symmetry such as the Golden Ratio.

Logical Mathematics

Logic is defined as “the science of correct reasoning” (Simpson, 1999, para. 3). Logical math then involves correct reasoning in order to explain certain equations which therefore proves its accuracy. There is also a concept called Aristotelean logic, a logic elaborated by Aristotle.

Business Mathematics

Lastly, business mathematics are used by companies to control anything that’s associated with them financially. It’s used by accountants and even university students who major in business and economics. Business mathematics is used “for development in business“ (Mathematics Education, 2009, para. 1). Moreover, one of its advantages include the calculation of interests, developing matrixes and linear programming.
