Saimaa Ringed Seal (Pusa hispida saimensis)

Conservation Status- Endangered

Habitat- Finland

Size (Weight/Length)- 90 kg; 145 cm

Diet- Small fish

Cool Facts- The Saimaa ringed seal is one of the most endangered seals in the world with around 400 mature individuals. Only found in Lake Saimaa in Finland, they have been completely separate from any other species of seal for 9,500 years. While they exclusively eat fish, these seals eat almost every species that inhabit the lake. Despite this, the Saimaa ringed seal does not have an impact on the fishing industry of the area. Despite being protected from hunting for almost 70 years, the Saimaa ringed seal is on the brink of extinction. Due to the small size of the lake mixed with multiple bad breeding seasons in a row, certain fishing methods have been banned from Lake Saimaa along with artificial dens being installed on the beaches.

Listen major depressive disorder looks kinda like writer's block from the outside because hobbies are most affected. That's because if you lie down instead of going to work, the bank takes your apartment away. But if you lie down instead of doing your hobbies, you just kind of feel tired about it. You see how this works, I'm sure. This too will pass and I'll post more fic... eventually.

I’m also admitting I have no idea what brainstorm looks like in canon but I am passionate about creatures and speculative biology so this is all I have to offer you. I always thought it was like an exaggeration when horse people would talk about how silly it was for anyone to think that riding a horse does not require any particular level of skill or balance or anything, or even that they "drive themselves" (???) but just the tags on the reblogs of that "can you ride a bike and/or horse" post from me alone are demonstrating how overconfident some people are in their (often entirely theoretical!) ability to stay on an alive and moving animal with a will of its own.

Soundwave may have prepared him by explaining that Autobot culture is more cooperative, but knowing and experiencing turn out to be very different things. The spy treats every casual kindness as a fresh provocation for suspicio. He quickly transforms himself into a twitchy and neurotic mess as the Autobots act, you know, regular-level friendly towards him.

Optimus Prime has been keeping a distant eye on their new arrival from Cybertron, and he's seeing some worrying signs. He arranges to drop in on the spy to check in and make sure everything is okay. Of course, Optimus could not have done a single thing more likely to make our hero freak out....
