I feel like it can never be overstated the top-tier hotness that Killian Jones was in OUAT. It raised the bar and reinvented the word 😭. I dont want a reboot. I want a time machine.

After finishing Rings of Power I kept coming back to Episode 6 because there were a few scenes in it that just didn’t sit right with me in the sense that they seemed discordant. And they all involved Adar.

First, when Halbrand confronts him and asks if he remembers him. Adar says “No.” I don’t think Adar was lying and Halbrand himself seems taken aback by this. Look at his face.

This seemed so strange to me. How could Adar not know who he is? I believe this is to emphasize the uniqueness and power of the connection between Galadriel and Halbrand. I actually think that Sauron is unsettled by this revelation as well. Probably Sauron never respected or felt Adar was worthy but at the very least if a fellow servant of Morgoth had killed and betrayed him, there should be a kind of blood bond. But instead, he is met with nothing. Crickets. Untethered and unsatisfied by revenge denied. In this as well, Galadriel understands him. She gets this. She gets him. She sees him. For Halbrand, this further reinforces their attraction. It is interesting how this scene focuses on the dynamic of these 3 characters and how ultimately Sauron will shed the dark, corrupted elf in favor of the Lady of Light. Later, Adar asks him again:

But this time Halbrand/Sauron keeps his face and back turned away. He doesn’t tell him his name. He says nothing. Gives no parting clue or crumb and follows Galadriel instead. The parallel of Sauron losing the faith of his followers and Galadriel being misunderstood by her contemporaries is a recurring theme.

Also, an earlier part of this episode that aggravated me is when Adar seems to try to provoke Halbrand. He mistakes him for a mortal man seeking to avenge his love. At first, this seemed like an awkward piece of dialogue: How could Adar read the room so wrong, so badly? Not only did he not recognize Sauron, someone he should easily sense and smell as the Dark Lord, but to make such a trite assumption? But the writers make it a point to show evil dealing in half-truths and assumptions. And Adar hasn’t lied yet. He may be right, he just doesn’t know it yet. He asks Halbrand:

Look at how specific this is worded. “Pain,” not death. And this is at least the second time “a woman” is used to taunt and rouse him and I believe it is, again, in reference to Galadriel. I don’t think this is a coincidence. They’re foreshadowing here. And this last line:

Their conflict may also involve a child. This scene initially bothered me because these lines seemed out of place until now. Obviously, the director made it a point to hold these shots close to the actors’ faces and my theory is that these are not throwaway taunts. He speaks the truth unknowingly. It just hasn’t happened yet.

OMG, I'm freaking out about the latest scoop from Fellowship of Fans as this is a huge spoiler and possibly a huge Haladriel one!!! :D Also they announced the character Selina Lo is playing too which I'll post first behind a cut as it's going to get long me talking about the big spoiler as I'm so excited!!! LOL

So first off Selina is playing an elf. Her scenes are mostly in Eregion and she filmed a lot with Benjamin (Gil Galad), Robert (Elrond), and Celebrimbor (Charles). There was a scoop last year that Celebrimbor was getting a female elf assistant at the forge and seems likely Selina's character is the same.

Now for the big spoiler.

I was not expecting this but apparently Adar is going to kidnap Galadriel!!! :o My first thought was this has to be him getting back at Sauron, who I'm guessing by this point he knows is Halbrand, and going back to him noticing the connection Halbrand/Sauron and Galadriel have. This would anger Halbrand/Sauron so much and have the two factions at war with each other, and possibly show whatever he still feels for Galadriel is there as I can't help but think he'll try to rescue her. So Galadriel is likely going to have to choose to either work with him or Adar to get out of this.

Morfydd did already hint in recent interviews that she and Charlie do have scenes again, and most of us were thinking it was dream sequence type (which I think still likely is too) but this would for sure have them seeing each other in person again. Also a lot are speculating too that this leads up to Halbrand/Sauron killing Adar, which I agree with most Adar likely won't be in this show much longer after season 2. Though do wish Joseph stayed, but still looking forward to Sam's version.

Then of course some think this means Celeborn is also being held prisoner by Adar, but I really wish they didn't do this and get their hopes up as there's been no spoilers at all indicating he's even been cast. I know a lot think Calam Lynch is playing him, but his filming dates last fall and recently actually match up with the Numenor scenes that FOF confirmed were filming at those times. So again I don't think Celeborn has been cast yet and I doubt Adar is the one that had him prisoner (if that's where he is).

But I do agree it's interesting having Galadriel also get captured by orcs and dark elves, when her daughter Celebrian sadly did too in the Third Age.

The thing i just adore and will never get over with TROP Saurondriel relationship and why it’s so addictive is that here you have two ancient, immensely powerful and effortlessly magnetic figures who, on their own, are used to being the tallest people figuratively and sometimes literally in the room, who have trauma and baggage and have been satisfied somewhat, that at least they know they’re right. about everything. and even if that self-righteousness bears out as being an outsider, so be it but also two living examples of “i make calculated risks…but i also suck at math” memes. They’re fine. Lonely but fine. Then here comes this barely tolerable person into their orbit, whom “ i can’t even lecture at eye level…”. is *shrieking* SARCASTIC. How dare. But it turns out they are mirror images. They parallel play nicely. Galadriel broke the crayons but now she shares them.

Then it happens..slowly discovering that they understand the other in a way they didn’t realize was a need. At first it is a relief. They have a shorthand, this knowing, this understanding. They just KNOW. And you would think it would confer some prescience, some protection because how can someone you know like yourself hurt you? Especially a thousands years-old magical being?? So powerful. But no, they’ve never felt more unsure, unmoored and compromised. Shit, they’re taken by surprise. This is vulnerability. This person, this bond isn’t a shield. It’s the chink in the armor. And what if. If their mirror image has revealed more than they could’ve expected. Maybe even after thousands of years they don’t really know themselves as well as they believed they did.
