I will forever recommend people read the book TTEOTM's adapted from to get the full experience of the absolute trauma Tantai Jin goes through, same for Ye Bingchang. Because so much of it, even in between the lines; is they have been sexually preyed on, exploited, and abused in multiple ways (especially in Jin's case), and it's heartbreaking in so many ways.

And to witness his love for Bingchang, because... that is a very important part to his story that was chopped off in the show and skewed. She was one of the reasons in his life he wanted to be 'normal' and a better person, and he tried for her in the time they were married, and he helped to try and get her to stop defending Ye Xiwu for things she's done, even as he struggled with his own complex feelings about her.

Because of how small Baron's fandom is in a sense translation wise - everyone misses out in how gay and chaotic (also gay chaos) he is. It's honestly hilarious and embarrassing watching him sometimes.

Yeah!! They're canonically together, Baron did his best to be clear with his hints in talking about that and also Zhe Yan being Feng Jiu's uncle-in-law in the interview.

Huang Junjie approached it differently in interview but there's a clip in his interview about Bai Zhen that was removed from the finale cut of the drama that would make any subtle context about what ZheZhen are to each other just be full on context.
