Yesterday my buddy Nate left this comment on the discussion of home schooling.
It has been on my mind, since.
Doing things your own way can be really difficult to handle. Especially if you are someone trying to change the way people interact with their world. You will encounter naysayers that will say your idea has been unsuccessfully tried before; people will think you are crazy, and crazy you are. Therefore it is important to surround yourself with people who have done it before or are in the process themselves. They might not see the world in the same way but they definitely understand the feelings you experience. Seek them out in your city, attend meetups, skillshare classes, online, etc.
One of the beautiful things that the internet enables is the interaction of likeminded ‘strangers’.
Being self-led can be exhausting but definitely gets easier if you feel like you are not doing it alone.

It’s not Shamcey Supsup of the Philippines, as one online poll suggested, who emerged the winner of the Miss Universe contest. The crown has been awarded to a contestant who didn’t even appear in the list of top 10 voted contestants - Miss Angola, Leila Lopes.
In an extravaganza at the Credicard Hall in Sao Paolo, Brazil, Supsup, who led the online fan voting site of the Telemundo, the second-largest Spanish language television network in the U.S., ended up being the third runner up.
Miss Ukraine, Olesia Stefanko, became the first runner-up, while Miss Brazil, Priscila Machado became the second runner up. Both Stefanko and Machado were not found in the top 10 voted contestants.
Miss Sweden, Ronnia Fornstedt, got the Miss Photogenic Universe Award and Miss Montenegro, Nikolina Loncar, got the Miss Congeniality Universe Award.
What will Leila Lopes get as the winner? Here is the list:
