AGIT was made by a fan for the fans. When people hear about an old IP getting new stuff, we want the people making that stuff to be people like us who enjoyed the original and want to finish old story lines, give something a more satisfying end, or tell another story in that world. Danny Phantom also has the benefit of being at its best when the ‘creator’, if you can call him that, of it doesn’t touch it at all.

I had a really good feeling about the gn as soon as I read the dedication

Once I started reading, the one thought that came to me turning each and every page was “this was made with love”. I don’t know much about Gabriela Espinoza but it’s obvious they were/are a fan of the show.

In a time where there are so many lifeless cash-grabbing/empty copyright renewals, AGIT is to me an example of what people hope for when they hear an old IP is getting new content. I had many trepidations coming in to the gn, until a couple mutuals got their copies early and sang its praises. And it delivered. It’s so refreshing.

So yeah. Huge props to Espinoza and anyone else involved. This would have been an impressive venture even if it wasn’t in contrast to the majority of revivals being underwhelming at best. It’s just a quality book.

So the first time I saw this in the episode, I thought Simon’s hair streak was WK’s nose and his nose just got longer when he went crazy and was up to Simon’s forehead. I had to watch it an embarrassing amount of time to realize what was happening.

Honestly with this and how much the boys act like real turtles at times, I feel like either one of the writers really likes turtles or they had a zoologist on staff.

a reason why Spilter struggles to tell the turtles apart even though they are different types of turtles, is that rats struggle to see red and colours made of red this along with the fact a rat's eyesight is bad anyway makes it hard for Splinter to tell the turtles apart sometimes
