At the end of each day, look back on the things that were good that day. Maybe the sky was pretty, or you made a little progress on a personal project! I know it’s difficult to push away negative thoughts when you’re trying to sleep. But try to think positively at the end of the day, every single day. The more you try, the easier it will become. Keep at it.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but if the phrase "self care" doesn't resonate with you, try calling it "system maintenance" and see if that clicks.
it’s okay if you don’t want to shoot for the stars. the ground is just as good and it’s sturdy, ready for you to plant your roots and grow comfortably. you don’t need big, crazy aspirations to live a happy life or to be admirable!
it’s your choice to not “work things out” with people. not everyone is worth keeping in your life, especially if their presence is harmful, and it’s not your job to make them feel better about their negative impact.
