Does my body position stay exactly the same in all these variation??? Not 💯% - but that’s the goal.
As the weight shifts to one side, I’m fighting to keep my shoulders, knees and hips in alignment while working out the different timing. But that’s why single arm and hand to hand swings are so great. The mechanics are basically the same, with an extra offset challenge.
Here’s a few tips to keep in mind:
✨ make sure your feet stay flat
✨ squeeze both glutes at the same time
✨ focus on your abs to stop from rotating
✨ keep your shoulder locked back & down
✨ practice with a lighter bell until you’re square
If you’d like to improve your kettlebell swing, join me this Saturday for my workshop in San Diego.
If you’re a camera shy photographer like me, try a tandem photoshoot!
After meeting with a fellow photographer for lunch, I felt a surge of inspiration. The fear of stepping in front of the camera turned into curiosity.
With our cameras in tow, we walked along the cliffs. Surrounded by golden light and wildflowers, we took turns being the subject and photographer. The energetic collaboration between two creative minds was energizing.
It was so much fun, but I also learned a ton! Being the subject and working with another photographer as the subject can give you a new perspective & fuel your creative passion.
Have you explored the Noah Purifoy Museum in Joshua Tree?
It’s a donation-based, outdoor collection of large-scale sculptures that Noah Purifoy created in the 1980’s out of discarded objects on the desert floor in Joshua Tree.
