Tumblr media
Story
In the movie Despicable Me there is a scene where Gru and his family go to a Mexican party and Gru eats a Guacamole Hat. The hat is really creative and has a fun concept, so we decided to bring you the recipe for it. The recipe is a bit hard to do, as a little crack in the hat can destroy the whole thing, but here's how it's made!
Nacho ingredients
3 cups fine cornmeal
3 cups wheat flour
2 cups warm water (approximately)
1 tbsp of salt
2 tbsp of smoked paprika
Guacamole Ingredients
1 large ripe avocado
1 chili pepper
1/2 red onion
1 tomato (without skin and seed)
2 tbsp of fresh coriander
Juice of 1 lime
1/2 tbsp of salt
How to make
Mix the wheat flour, fine cornmeal, smoked paprika and salt in a bowl
Add oil, water and mix with your hands until it's no longer sticky
Take a round tin and inside it place a round bowl facing down (to shape the hat)
Cover this entire hat with aluminum foil
Open the dough on a table with the help of a rolling pin and place it over the greased hat-shaped mold
Place in the oven for 90 minutes at 320°F
For the guacamole, just chop the tomato and onions and mix all the ingredients in a small bowl, then spread it around the hat

During the episode, cat learns about the sweet in the office of a music label manager and quikly becomes addicted to it. She later buys a huge sack of it and has to be handcuffed to a man to keep her away from bibbles. In "Sam and Cat" we find out she is banned from the bibble store near her house. It is only natural that, considering her addiction to it, people would want to try bibble, so that's what we're making today!

4 tbsp of water
How to prepare
Put the corn in a pan with oil and leave it uncovered until it starts to pop.

Beignets - The Princess and the Frog
Tumblr media
The Story
Probably everyone who has seen The Princess and the Frog got a craving for the Beignets that Tiana served to the customers in the store she worked in. Beignets are actually a real recipe that originated in France, but quickly spread around the globe. One place that particularly took a liking to it is Louisiana, where the movie is set. The recipe was adapted there and is now loved by the people in New Orleans. In order to fulfill that desire to taste Tiana's Beignets, read the step by step instructions below!
Ingredients
1 cup of milk
4 cups wheat flour
2 teaspoons chemical yeast
½ teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
1 egg
Frying oil
1 lemon
⅓ cup granulated sugar
½ teaspoon of baking soda
⅓ of a cup of water
1 teaspoon vanilla essence (optional)
Icing sugar
How to prepare
Mix the Lemon + Milk and let it rest for 10 minutes
Mix all dry ingredients
Add the egg, water and vanilla essence + the lemon and milk mixture we made at the beginning
Mix until it becomes a homogeneous dough
Sprinkle flour on a surface so the dough doesn't stick and open the dough, about 1 cm high.
Cut into rectangles or whatever shape you want, any shape works!
Fry in oil until golden! CAUTION: they fry very quickly, so I advise you to fry them 1 at a time.
Once fried, roll them in icing sugar to taste.
Enjoy your Beignets!

Canadian Fat Cakes - From iCarly
Tumblr media
The Story:
Everyone who has ever watched iCarly always wanted to eat Canadian Fat Cakes, a sweet that appeared on season 4 episode 24. In the episode, Carly, Sam and Freddy win an award and get to visit Fat Cake Headquarters, in Canada. During the entire episode, Sam rants about how the Canadian version of the sweet is better, because it contains "Cane Fat" instead of "Corn Fat". But today, we are making fat cakes using "Milk Fat", or just "butter".
Ingredients:
For the cake:
24 muffin/cupcake baking tins
2 cups of wheat flour
75 grams of butter
2 cups of sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp of vanilla essence
2 tsp of baking soda
1/3 cup of cocoa powder
1 cup of milk
For the Frosting:
1 cup of heavy whipping cream
 3 tbsp of sugar
 Shreded coconut
 Red food coloring
How to prepare Cake
Preheat the oven to 350°F and greese the baking tins.
In a large bowl, beat the sugar and the butter until light and fluffy.
Add in the eggs one at a time, beating well, and add the vanilla.
In another bowl, sift in the flour, baking soda, the salt and the cocoa. Add half of this mixture to the butter and sugar and beat well.
Add in the milk and the other half of the mixture. Beat well.
Frosting
Add in the cold whipping cream, the sugar and the food coloring and beat on medium-high speed on an electric mixer for 2-3 minutes. Be careful not to overmix, as that causes the cream to split.
Reserve the whipped cream for the next step.
Finishing Touches
Put the cakes upside down and, using a small knife, cut the bottom of each cake and cut out it's inside, that's where we'll put the filling later. Make sure to save the bottoms but can eat the part you cut out if you want ;).
Fill the cakes in with the frosting using a piping bag and put the bottoms in again. Cover each cake with the frosting.
Sprinkle in the coconut, and make sure every part of the cake is covered.
Enjoy your fat cakes!
