Growing out my hair is the most annoying, uncomfortable process.
I love it short, and I feel most "me" with it being short. BUT at this length I have no easy way of pulling it out of my face, and Aiden really loves to yank on it. 😅
So, I'm growing it out.
Now, I doubt this will be a permanent thing for the reasons I listed above, but also because my hair is so disgustingly thick when I'm pregnant.
And we definitely want to have more children. So I'll probably chop it all back off when that time comes.

Pregnancy has taught me & my husband so much, & our marriage has strengthened immensely by the day.
I can’t stress enough how important it is to ask the right questions and have *the* conversations before you get married.
I’ll say it ‘til I’m blue in the face: it will make or break your marriage.

Maybe it's just me, but I feel like it's very un-ladylike to see these girls & young women on here posting and saying such vulgar things while claiming to be tradfem.
It feels just as angry and hateful as the feminists they claim to denounce. And if I found out my son brought home a girl that spoke so poorly on the Internet, I'd be questioning where I went wrong as a mother.
Thankfully, my son is 10 months old. So we have a good while before that happens. 😂

This might come across as a controversial within the "traditional" community, but men should be taught from a young age that women are more than their bodies. Men are so obsessed, even addicted, to porn and only place value upon women who fit this prototype. To feel like the only value that is placed upon me is for my body at such a young age is disgusting, and I wouldn't wish it upon anyone. When you marry someone you marry them forever, when they grow old, when they aren't looking their best, when they gain and loose weight, not for how they look or how their body looks. You love your wife for "her everything" not just for her body, and you love no one else the way you do her, how is that possible when you place her value on her body? It's not.

So, my husband is interviewing for a new job. Which is great, of course. It would be at a music school, so he'll be surrounded by musicians again. I honestly hope he gets it!!
I'm just...scared because he'll basically be gone from 6am to 8:30pm which leaves me home alone with my son. No help. No one to turn to for a second to myself.
And I'm already struggling so badly.
I don't even know if it counts as "postpartum" depression if you're clinically depressed before you ever get pregnant. I thought I'd avoided it. And I had, for the first eight months.
But, man, month eight hit and I've been so, so bad.
Idk. There isn't really much of a point to this. I just feel kinda hopeless about it all.

unpopular opinion:
it’s okay to want to stay at home as a wife/gf. but please don’t do it for a low value man you can't trust or a man who doesn’t respect you, love you, protect you as you deserve. always listen to your intuition. you never know what might happen. life is not a perfect fairytale. you can be left on the street without money and a roof over your head at any moment. love yourself first & stay smart.

my mother’s book bag ✨ I’m often impatient with myself when it comes to making things, and I can never seem to be fully pleased with the end results. this was an idea I had for a gift for my mother, and (with the help from the strap from a bag she wasn’t using) it came out just the way I had hoped it would. 🥺 now that I’m done trotting it around the yard she is free to take it wherever it is she’d like to go.
made with 100% cotton macrame cord and an old purse strap 💜

I've been reintroducing animal proteins back into my diet and, man, it's been a time.
I mean, I have a strong stomach, so that's not been an issue.
Moreso, it's realizing that I haven't really ever cooked meat? I went vegetarian when I moved to Birmingham at 22. So, for 6 years, it was never a concern.
Honestly it's kind of the same epiphany I had when I stopped birth control and realized that I'd never had a "natural" period as an adult.
All of that to say, I really need to learn to balance things more.
