hi everyone, ella (lvcifcrs) here ! and today i decided to make a masterpost of resources that helped me transition to roleplay tumblr // helped me with editing my theme, reply, etc. 

pexels — i use this website for FREE stock photos its the only place i use for theme photos/ background photos ( you don’t even need an account to download the photos).

pixabay — is another FREE stock photo webite that does not require an account. 

lyrics.com — is great because it lets you search for a word and then shows you songs that have that word, this works great for when you have a theme thats for example ‘cherry’ themed, and you really want the lyrics to have the word ‘cherry’ in it this website helps you find them. it also lets you search for lyrics during different era’s like the 90′s 80′s, early 2000′s, etc. 

mega cool text — for fancy fonts, text, tags.

this post on tumblr roleplay phrases / lingo. it helps knowing what ships are, canons, etc so you don’t feel totally confused or on the outside.

these list of banned face claims helps too — keep in mind that just because these people are banned on these lists does not mean that everyone is completely against them. some people are comfortable roleplaying with banned fcs — always read someones guidelines or ask if you’re unsure.  list one : list two : list three : list four    — it helps to look at different list to kind of get a gist of it all. 

stackoverflow — this site is a holy grail, especially when i am always trying to customize themes to my liking. its like yahoo answers but for coding ?? if you have a question about a specific code you’ve produced or are attempting to tweak, you can ask the question, paste in the code and then wait for someone to help you. it’s great! 

weheartit — this website is great when looking for pictures, especially nsfw photos i believe there’s a few collections on there that people have made. 

formatting on roleplay tumblr is important especially for aesthetics purposes.  —  these post can help you learn how to respond to starters or people on tumblr if you’re like me who feared roleplaying with others for a while because i was afraid i wouldn’t be able to reply or format my responses correctly. keep in mind there’s no correct way to roleplay but some people have preferences on how they’d like replies to look. post one (how to roleplay on mobile) : post two : post three : post four
