it’s well over two years too late but i adore the ark as the heathers art and so i drew some things based on it
[id: an in-colour digital drawing followed by a three-panel comic. the drawing is of lister, and the comic is of jimmy and rowan. in the drawing, lister is wearing a bright green jacket with dark teal trousers, inspired by heather duke. in the first drawing, lister is smiling widely with a mallet in his hands, poised as if he is about to swing it. text beside him reads: “i swing both* ways. violently. with a mallet”. a footnote at the bottom reads: “*’both is used for the sake of the pun. let it be known that lister swings all ways”. in the comic, jimmy is wearing a bright red jacket with a burgundy bow tie, inspired by heather chandler, and rowan is wearing a bright yellow jacket, inspired by heather mcnamara. in the first panel, jimmy is resting a croquet mallet on his shoulder, while rowan is holding a mallet and speaking into it as if it were a microphone. he says, “jimmy has something to say about how he feels about giving to charity”. in the second panel, rowan has moved the mallet so that jimmy can speak into it as if it’s a microphone. both of them are smiling as jimmy says, “well, fuck me gently with a chainsaw. do i look like mother teresa?” in the last panel, jimmy is looking off to the side and rowan has lowered his mallet to the ground. jimmy says, “that’s gonna come back to bite me in the ass.” rowan says, “this is so sad, jimmy kaga-ricci is going to get cancelled for hating charity.” end id.]]
Medieval woodcut depicting the heaven's as a series of Cosmic wheels
In medieval times it was believed that a series of astral plains controlled peoples lives. It was believed that the workings of this celestial clockwork machine would become apparent to someone who was humble and determined enough to peer through the Heavenly veil.
