Hi! I'm using your Cannolli doc temp, and I'm having trouble changing the color of the border around the top table of the page (where the name/url goes). I was able to change the background color just fine, but I can't seem to change the border.

hi love!  so first, i’m going to go ahead and direct you here to make sure you have the entire box highlighted.  since you said you changed the background color though, i’m sure you are good to go!  secondly, the border color is in the same window as the background color! right above the background color you should see border color as shown below.

@INDIEDOCS  PRESENTS  :  BLUEJAY . . .  A  PAGE  SPECIFIC  TEMPLATE  !

this  is  the  first  page  specific  template  we  have  available.  i  set  this  up  roughly  a  month  ago  and  have  only  just  released  it  today.  this  doc  is  specifically  for  your  verses  and  is  easy  to  edit  /  adjust.  over  time,  these  page  specific  templates  can  be  combined  however  you  like  with  matching  colour  schemes  and  we  will  release  a  navigation  doc  that  you  can  use  to  link  to  individual  docs  like  bluejay.

instructions.

as  usual,  to  use  this  doc  click  on  “file”  and  select  “make  a  copy”

the  only  colours  you  need  to  adjust  are  the  background  page  colour,  the  background  colour  of  the  information,  the  highlight  colours  and  the  font  colour.

to  add  more  verses,  simply  place  your  cursor  at  the  bottom  of  the  last  verse  table,  hold  shift  and  press  the  up  arrow  until  the  verse  section  is  highlight,  click  copy  and  paste  underneath.  keep  adding  until  you  have  enough  sections  to  cover  your  verse  requirements.

need  to  know.

please  don’t  remove  the  credit  line.  you  can  edit  it  to  suit  your  colour  preferences  but  please  don’t  remove  it.

hi! i love your docs make it pink and frost! however, i dont have any multi muse blogs ( i find them to get very cluttered fast ) to use for them, is it too much to ask for something similar but with a singular muse instead? thanks!

hi  there  love,  thank  you  so  much  i’m  glad  you  like  them.  i  admit,  i’m  not  entirely  sure  how  to  go  about  creating  a  single  muse  version  of  what  are  meant  to  be  multi-muse  docs  without  changing  the  format  entirely.  if  you  mean  about  the  colour  schemes,  that  might  be  a  bit  more  doable  but  if  you  mean  the  layout  itself,  i’m  not  sure  how  to  go  about  doing  that.  sorry  hun  x.

For your template “make it pink” is there a way to expand it for more than 116 muses without messing up the layout?

hi  hun,  i  apologise  for  the  wait  in  response.  if  you  haven’t  figured  it  out  yet,  you  can  add  another  page  to  the  doc  and  copy  /  paste  the  second  page,  making  it  a  third  page  of  60  character  slots  and  so  on,  so  forth,  until  you  have  enough  to  cover  how  many  characters  you  have.  just  place  your  cursor  where  the  doc  credit  is  and  highlight  from  there,  up.  that’ll  copy  all  of  the  columns  so  when  you  paste  it  in  the  third  page,  it  doesn’t  mess  with  the  layout.

hi  everyone,  neither  lisa  nor  i  have  been  on  here  actively  in  a  good  almost  month.  i’m  not  going  to  apologise  for  that,  we’ve  both  needed  to  take  a  break  after  coming  out  of  the  gates  with  this  blog  so  quickly.  i  know  i  in  particular,  felt  very  burned  out  and  this  was  never  meant  to  be  a  priority  for  us.  with  that  said,  neither  one  of  us  expected  it  to  take  off  as  it  did  and  it’s  been  a  little  overwhelming,  although  we  do  appreciate  all  of  the  support.  we’re  both  planning  on  releasing  some  new  templates  soon,  and  i  would  like  to  work  on  a  brand  new  one  for  you  guys  to  play  with.  that  said,  please  bear  with  us.  i  am  currently  online  now  working  on  things  so  if  you’ve  had  any  questions  about  a  template  or  if  you’d  like  to  ask  us  something,  feel  free  to  contact  us  .  .  .  reign.

hi  guys,  quick  tip  for  anyone  who  doesn’t  know  :  viewing  a  doc  on  mobile  is  much  easier  when  using  the  google  docs  app  instead  of  the  browser.  using  a  browser  to  view  a  doc  will  mess  with  the  formatting  and  can  be  difficult  to  read  for  some.  using  the  app  will  usually  keep  the  doc  as  it’s  intended  to  look  on  a  computer  and  it’s  much  easier  to  navigate.  the  app  is  also  free,  so  we  highly  recommend  downloading  it.

hi, i have a request for more like tutorials for text? mostly for text things. im trying to figure out how to do the split text like your blog's banner, layering text, adding bars underneath text... that stuff. btw this blog is stunning!

hi  there,  we  do  have  tutorials  planned  and  we  will  be  posting  more.  again,  it’s  just  going  to  take  some  time.  in  terms  of  the  split  text  in  our  banner,  i  made  that  in  photoshop.  i  believe  there  might  be  a  way  to  do  that  in  docs,  but  i’ll  have  to  play  around  with  it.  or  ask  lisa.  she’s  the  one  who  usually  finds  cool  new  tricks  with  text,  and  then  she  teaches  me.  layering  text  and  bars  underneath  (  i'm  not  quite  sure  what  you  mean  by  that  but  i’m  sure  i  will  once  i’ve  thought  about  it  some  more  )  are  definitely  things  we  can  show  you  how  to  do.

hi guys ! i hope you're having a great day :) i'm currently working on using your doc template 'mischief managed' to better organize the original characters i have on this blog , and i was thinking while doing it , what if i want to add another oc at a later date ? i keep them all in alphabetical order , so i was wondering if there's a way to add a column in between others , like to copy and paste just one column to add somewhere? i'm not that great at docs so i really appreciate all your work !

hi  hon,  sorry  it’s  taken  so  long  to  get  back  to  you  about  this.  i  hope  the  doc  has  worked  out  for  you  in  the  interim.  unfortunately,  as  far  as  i  know,  you  can’t  add  a  single  column  to  a  row  on  it’s  own  without  messing  up  the  entire  structure  of  the  doc.  that’s  one  downside  to  organising  this  doc  alphabetically.  i’m  sorry  i  couldn’t  be  of  any  more  help  about  this.  i  could  try  and  mess  around  with  it  later  and  see  if  i  can  come  up  with  a  solution  but  it  could  take  some  time  before  i  have  an  answer  for  you  x

hi  there,  i’m  not  sure  what  it  is  exactly  you  mean  by  asking  for  those  two  aspects  of  those  docs  but  in  multi-muse  format.  i’m  having  trouble  visualising  it.  are  you  asking  for  something  similar  to  “mischief  managed”  but  with  techno’s  rules  ?

hi  love,  sorry  for  the  delay  in  answering.  you’ve  likely  either  already  figured  it  out  or  you’ve  used  your  own,  but  i’ll  answer  it  anyway.  i  used  “georgia”  for  the  font  of  the  numbers,  and  then  i  used  outer  glow  to  outline  each  number.

hello ! i hope you guys are doing well. i'm currently trying to use and edit the cannoli doc but im having trouble editing the color within the first box that contains the url or character name. i don't seem to have an option to change the color in it even when i right click to look for cells bg. any help would be appreciated, thank you !

hi  hon,  lisa  actually  answered  a  similar  question  earlier.  you  can  find  anything  regarding  our  docs,  including  questions  about  them,  in  their  individual  tag.  this  is  why  we  name  our  docs.  but  for  easy  access,  i  believe  the  answer  you’re  looking  for  can  be  found  here.

quick  update  :  hi  everyone,  don’t  worry,  we  haven’t  abandoned  the  blog.  unfortunately,  i  have  been  very  sick  the  past  two  weeks  and  this  is  the  first  time  i’ve  had  the  energy  to  use  my  laptop,  and  i  don’t  like  answering  things  on  mobile.  lisa  has  been  quite  busy  herself  and  she  will  be  taking  a  small  break.  i  will  post  a  simple  verses  template  today  but  i’ve  finally  been  given  the  go-ahead  to  pick  up  my  training  for  my  work  that  was  put  on  hold  during  covid,  so  my  time  will  be  split  even  further  between  here,  my  own  blogs  and  my  assessments.  please  keep  that  in  mind  when  sending  us  messages  as  it  could  take  some  time  to  respond.  in  terms  of  custom  doc  request  :  actual  custom  doc  requests  have  not  been  opened  yet.  the  only  custom  docs  i  will  be  doing  are  the  three  that  were  submitted  via  the  signal  boost  post  a  week  or  so  ago.  i’m  cutting  them  off  for  now  because  i  will  be  the  only  one  doing  custom  docs  moving  forward  and  i  don’t  want  to  get  overwhelmed.  a  post  will  be  made  publicly  when  i  open  up  custom  docs  properly.  anyway,  i  just  wanted  to  let  everyone  know  what’s  going  on,  and  i  hope  you’re  all  safe  and  doing  well  x

we  have  a  number  of  custom  doc  requests  that  have  been  submitted  over  the  past  twenty-four  hours.  i  have  started  working  on  one  and  will  work  on  them  one-by-one.  to  those  who  have  submitted  a  request,  i  will  message  you  tomorrow  to  let  you  know  we’ve  received  it.  i  just  want  to  thank  you  for  your  support  of  the  signal  boost  and  your  donation  to  the  fund/s  mentioned  on  the  post.  i’ll  be releasing  another  free  template  possibly  tomorrow,  so  keep  an  eye  out  for  that.

If this is a safe place, would you be willing not to post asks that directly call-out individual roleplayers for their characters alone in a negative light? I know you did not have hurtful intentions, but mob-mentality is still a rampant issue in the RPC and that ask could have led to further harassment of that individual. I would hate to see people attempt to abuse your beautiful attempt at providing for the community under the hopes it might get someone into trouble.

that  did  occur  to  me  after  addressing  the  messages  we  received.  i  need  to  talk  about  this  with  lisa  but  i  think,  moving  forward,  we  won’t  be  responding  to  any  messages  at  all  that  have  nothing  to  do  with  actual  questions  about  docs  or  messages  intended  for  us,  alone.  the  fact  we  have  somehow  now  been  involved  in  this  is  uncomfortable  and  not  at  all  what  we  want  for  indiedocs.  i  was  also  going  to  make  a  separate  post  about  this  but  since  i  want  this  to  be  the  last  time  we  address  it  :  to  the  two  messages  also  in  our  inbox,  thank  you  for  your  input  and  your  thoughts.  i  appreciate  them  but  i  also  will  not  be  posting  them.

i think its important to note that that person who sent you the message about mndflay never called out anyone else who plays problematic characters and uses your docs. they also specifically attacked him today too...

i  see  you,  and  i  understand  what  you’re  saying.  there  are  a  multitude  of  problematic  characters  currently  being  written  in  the  rpc,  so  the  same  response  applies  to  those  character  as  well,  but  i  also  don’t  want  things  to  escalate,  especially  here.  while  i  don’t  necessarily  see  anything  hateful  in  the  message  sent  to  us,  any  message  sent  maliciously  towards  anyone  is  not  something  we  condone  or  support.  this  is  a  safe  space  ?  indiedocs  is  intended  to  be  a  resource  blog  for  the  rpc  to  utilise  and  we  don’t  want  to  take  away  from  that.

how do you guys feel about billy hargrove? a racist and homophobic character. somebody in the community (mndflay) is writing him and using your docs don’t know how you’d feel about your docs being used for a character like that..

hi  non.  in  terms  of  the  character,  i  don’t  support  him  nor  do  i  write  with  any  billy’s,  personally.  i  think  lisa  is  in  the  same  boat  as  myself.  in  regards  to  our  docs  being  used  by  a  billy  writer,  the  docs  are  free  templates  for  the  rpc  as  a  whole.  i  would  hope  that  the  rpc  understands  that  the  opinions  of  a  character  do  not  translate  to  any  associations  with  said  character,  including  the  docs  the  writer  decides  to  use.  when  you  post  free  content  to  tumblr,  things  like  doc  templates  or  psds  or  themes,  you  run  the  risk  of  characters  you  may  not  like  using  them.  i  feel  like  it  would  be  different  if  it  were  commissioned  content.  the  right  to  refuse  service  is  ultimately  up  to  the  creator.  i  hadn’t  considered  it  before,  but  this  rule  may  apply  when  it  comes  to  custom  doc  requests  in  the  future.  i  hope  this  comes  across  how  it  was  intended  to,  and  that  it  was  an  appropriate  and  satisfactory  answer  to  your  question.

hi  love  !  we  definitely  will  be  releasing  page  specific  docs,  and  docs  as  parts  of  a  set  are  something  i  know  i’m  working  on.  while  we  will  continue  to  post  free  doc  templates,  right  now  i  want  to  prioritise  any  custom  doc  requests  we  receive  in  correlation  to  the  signal  boost  we  posted  earlier.  i  have  a  verses  template  that  i’ve  already  finished  but  i’m  still  working  on  any  kinks.  it’s  very  simple,  much  simpler  than  anything  i  usually  post,  but  it  should  be  released  at  some  point  this  week.
