I’m sorry but I saw this picture on twitter, and the only thing I could think about is how this is just Goodsir in his mind’s eye when joining the expedition

“I like being round,” Talia announced. “It means there’s more of me to love.”
“I love you, Talia,” Chauncey said, laying one of his eyes on her shoulder.
- The House in the Cerulean Sea by T.J. Klune
This was technically a collaboration. My 8 year-old son drew the picture of Chauncey on the refrigerator. 🥰

Black sails is the show where the primary plot is fuck the English empire but constantly in the background there are just two slightly feuding polycules both of which seem to have the end goal of involving every person on New Providence island in one way or another

I'm gonna fangirl for a moment. One of my ABSOLUTE favorite pop culture re-interpretations of the leather daddy aesthetic are the costumes worn by Toby Stephens as Captain James Flint on Black Sails. The leather jacket, the tight pants, the boots, the studded belt, even the little earring, it all directly references the leather look. Its hard masculinity creates his persona as a terrifying and ruthless pirate captain while at the same time signaling to viewers that there's a few secrets hiding within.
