Lovely Runner has caught my attention with the first two episodes! I love a good time travel romance with a dash of mystery. And Sun Jae (spoiler) secretly having a crush on Sol the whole time?! Yes, give it to me. I must have more right this second.

Here comes another show that is going to torture me by having to wait for it each week. I don’t even know how many episodes there is going to be, I am just here for the ride. Also I love Kim Hyeyoon, ever since Extraordinary You, so I’m excited to see her in this.

Ok so I watched episode one of We Are the Series and I really liked it. I love ensemble casts and literally this whole cast has some of my faves. I mean PondPhuwin, WinnySatang, AND AouBoom?!?!! In one show?!! Sign me up! Plus Marc, JJ, Pepper, and Ciize! I didn’t know Poon before this show but his character is one of my favorites so far.

The first episode was mostly character introductions, so not much plot happening yet. We will have to see where the show goes, but I honestly don’t need anything too crazy plot wise. Just give me a good romcom, that I can enjoy watching. Well now I have something to look forward to on Wednesdays!

I haven’t really watched any shows recently, except for Build Up. And now that Build Up is over I don’t know what to watch. Also, I am so sad Jeup/Partners didn’t win, he deserves success and I hope he continues his career as a singer. But I do like HunMinJayBit as a team, they work really well together. So I’m interested to see what type of music they will release.

Also WaterFire team is debuting too? We love to see it. They really said “screw Mnet, we will debut ourselves,” and I love that for them.

I kinda wanna do a post with my top ten favorite performances from the show, but I’d probably have to watch all the performances again and not sure when I’d have the time to do that. Would most of Jeup’s performances end up in my top ten? It is very likely. He’s just too good.

Current obsession: Mnet’s Build Up

Seriously this show is really great. I love being able to see vocalists do what they do best and SING. There have been so many amazing performances that give me so many emotions.

PARK JEUP IS MY KING!!! I literally have loved this man’s voice since I watched his I Can See Your Voice cover of Park Hyoshin’s Wildflower (everybody needs to watch this video). He has been serving us amazing performances each round and I am blessed with his performances being on Spotify. Mnet doing something right for once. I need him in the final lineup or I will riot.

Other than Jeup though I don’t mind any of the remaining contestants becoming part of the group. They have all proved themselves in terms of vocal and performance, and any combination would be really interesting to see (That said I am rooting for Jay, Donghun, Seunghun, Bain, Suhwan, and Bitsaeon to make it). But I hope all of them succeed in their careers even if they don’t make the group.

Finally finished book 8 of Heaven Official’s Blessing and I loved it! All the characters were so interesting to me, because all of them have both good and evil within them or have done both good and bad things. The love that San Lang has for Xie Lian is so incredible and gave me butterflies while reading (the sparkly silver kind). I really stretched out the last book because I didn’t want it to be over, but I still have to read the extras. So that’s great.

Next on my list is Thousand Autumns. Bless my local library for getting all of the books published by Seven Seas so far, which includes all MXTX series, Thousand Autumns, Priest books, and Rou Bao Bu Chi Rou books.

Started watching Twinkling Watermelon, since it has finished airing, and it is very good so far and I'm only on ep5. I understand the pressure that Eungyeol feels to be the best in school and to be a doctor, but I also think he needs to communicate his feelings and his dreams with his parents or they're not gonna know what he actually wants to do with his life.

Also I like young Yichan, but if I was Sekyung I would be annoyed by him.

I do wonder if Eungyeol has travelled back in time to change anything or just to see how his parents fell in love and how Yichan lost his hearing.

I Feel You Linger in the Air continues to outdo itself every week. The love between Yai and Jom is so palpable, and you can see it in their eyes when they look at each other (acting on point!).

This is becoming one of my favorites for 2023 and while I’m nervous to see how it ends, I am also excited to see what will happen for the characters. Obviously I want YaiJom to still be together, but unless Jom finds Yai’s reincarnation in the future I’m not sure how that will happen.

I also haven’t seen ep11 yet, and I can’t watch it till later today which is torture!!

Ive only really seen that there will be a My Love Mix-Up Thai version? With GeminiFourth? I am hesitant but it could be really good. My Love Mix-Up is one of my favorite Japanese bls, it’s such a cute and funny show. Gemini fourth give me those same cute fluffy vibes so I think it could be pretty good. Only time will tell.

I need to stop watching previews because they make it ten times harder to wait for a new episode. I’m looking at you My Personal Weatherman!

The miscommunication is strong between these two, and while I’m usually not a fan of that, I think it works really well for this story and these characters. Yoh has incredibly low self esteem and thinks poorly of himself, and thinks Segasaki is better than him in every way. Segasaki is a man of action and rarely uses his words to express his feelings. Even if Segasaki uses his words, Yoh doesn’t understand his meaning and thinks he means something else (usually something negative). Man-san’s husband had my favorite lines in this episode when he talked about how a person can misinterpret another’s words based on their mood. Which is exactly what Yoh did, he thought Segasaki was being demeaning and unappreciative about his job, when Segasaki was trying to be comforting (though his word choice was not great, admittedly).

Anyways, we got a glimpse of Yoh and Segasaki in college and how Yoh fell in love at first sight (basically), though he seems to deny those feelings. The tension between them was insane, especially when they stared at each other while passing in the hallway. We also kinda get an idea of where Yoh’s low self esteem comes from, which seems to be from other people telling him that he is a nobody, a loner, and a weirdo.

Im excited to see how Mizuki fell in love with Yoh in the next episode, and it obviously has to do with Yoh taking care of him when he was sick. And the CURRY! Yoh’s terrible curry that Mizuki wants to eat again, probably because it shows that Yoh cares for him.

And a confrontation/kiss in the rain?!! Potentially Segasaki realizing that he could loose Yoh because Yoh doesn’t understand their relationship. There are so many ways that I would personally write this scene, so I am curious how it actually turns out.

And now the countdown to next Friday begins…

I have not started watching Only Friends yet but I love reading everyone’s thoughts and opinions on it. There are so many differences in how people feel about the characters and the characters’ choices. I think it’s great when a show creates various discussions based on the actions of the characters.

I was waiting until the show finished airing to binge all of the episodes, but it’s getting harder and harder to wait. Plus, episode 7 seems to have caused a lot of discourse and anger over RayMew, and I kinda wanna watch it to form my own opinions.

Listen, if there is one thing I know about P’Jojo it is that he loves messy characters. He also depicts life in a very real and honest way, if a little dramatized at times. I am interested to see where this show ends, I have a feeling it will be an open ending rather than a happy one.

Love Class 2 was so good! A cute story which gave good development for all three couples. They did more in 10 ~30minute episodes than some other shows did in 12-16 45minute eps. The chemistry between all of the couples was great and I was fully invested in all of them, and wanted them to get together. Also thank you writers for giving us two episodes of cute couply moments, because I need more bls to show the couple be happy after they get together and not just end when they become a couple.

It’s definitely up there as one of my favorite dramas this year. We really need at least a few more shows that are character and relationship driven rather than plot driven. Sometimes you just need something light and fun to watch and Love Class 2 was a highlight of my Fridays.

How I watch My Personal Weatherman: once without subs on Thursday, understanding nothing (maybe one or two words). Then waiting a full day for it to come out with subs on Friday.

Ugh this show is too good! I can feel the love and adoration between Yoh and Segasaki without needing the subs. And I die over how fond Segasaki is over Yoh. Yoh really is adorable though
