It was over ; Jaime and her were just regular brother and sister now. It had been a while already. Yet, Cersei still found herself having those days or nights where she found herself moody and sad and wishing he was there. There was less crying at night, but it still happened once in a while. He still is my twin, and we don’t see each other, and we don’t even get along much anymore.
On a day like this she would isolate herself, but after a few hours lying in bed and staring at the walls, she could not take it anymore. She first went for a walk around the palace. Ellaria was sitting in the solar, however ; Cersei gave up and just curled up against her.
Seeking for comfort was another thing she was not used to do. Not when she felt really vulnerable and not just looking for attention.
“Do you ever feel sad, when Oberyn is not here ? Or someone else you’d want to be here ?”

Joanna kept an eye on the time, quietly doing her own needlework. Unlike her daughter, she quite enjoyed it. She could hear the small pitter patter of her daughter’s shoes on stone before she could see her. Her emerald hues glanced up to her child, listening to her tone.
“Cersei,” she began, “when I was younger, I disliked it as well. But as I grew older, I found that it can be soothing. I also found it particuarly useful when I was pregnant with you and your brother. I wanted a blanket to be made for each of you but I did not want someone else to do it. The needlework I learned as a child helped me in that.”
The golden lioness spoke softly and gently to her only daughter, stopping only to press a kiss to her child’s head. “It also is useful when I want to make you a dress all by myself.”
She listened to her mother, not without tapping her feet and wringing her hands. Cersei was too impatient for needlework. That, she had been told times and times again.
She understood what she meant. It did not make her feel any better. She will not have babies now, anyway, she was too little !
“I see, but I want to do other things too. You and Father do not run the house of Lannister doing needlework.”

“Yes, and we wouldn’t want that delicate skin to burn again.” Ellaria noted, leaning forward to press her lips lightly to Cersei’s shoulder before looking up at her with a smile, “I would suggest staying indoors.” She placed her hand to Cersei’s knee, fingers brushing under her skirts, “Perhaps we could read…or stitch something for Oberyn…” She was teasing of course, and her fingers doing just the same as they snuck up Cersei’s thigh.
When Ellaria was being like that, she could easily mesmerize Cersei. It was almost frustrating sometimes, when she normally prided herself on getting what she wanted from people. ...Alas, from men. Ria knew all of that. Of course she did.
Cersei did not dislike it, the smile on her lips was telling enough when she felt her hand on her thigh. Oberyn and her, they could be unpredictable ; it was different.
"Stitching... definitely an activity for us,” she joked as she reached out to stroke Ria’s cheek. “A nice, fun thing to do together to pass the time.”
She was not quite sure what she meant herself, but it sure was not about stitching.

Ellaria let out a little laugh and returned the hug. She was used to Cersei’s moods. She had the patience of saint, really. Moments like this typically made it worth it. She kept one arm around her and used the other to push her book off the couch to the coffee table. “Yes I am.” She said matter of factly, and kissed Cersei’s temple, “My little bisexual blondie.”
She leaned back to look at her with a smile, “Blonde, bisexual, with daddy issues; you’re going to be a hot commodity with the girls.” She teased with another light laugh, “So, tell me honestly, this is important. Have you ever kissed a girl for real? No drunk, not for attention, and not for a dare.”
She was not exactly used to identifying as bisexual just yet. Ellaria had been pretty insistent about it before she had been able to stop replying that she was straight as an arrow.
Well ; straight did not fit, gay did not either, so that was it.
“Come on,” she laughed. “I’m so cliché. Rich girl with daddy issues.”
She had kissed a girl before, actually, but even if it fit the conditions, this probably would not be what Ellaria meant. Not at that age.
The memory made her snort.
“Does it count if I was eight years old and pretending to be Jaime ?” she asked, snickering. That was such a dick move. Poor Melara.
