i had the honour of being invited by Lauren Jones, a filmmaking student at Liverpool Uni, to interview for this 15 minute documentary about trans lives, the current ongoing transphobia in the UK and the trans experience as a whole.

it's really informative and well edited, definitely worth a watch if you have 15 mins to spare! Lauren giving us a platform in such difficult times in this country was absolutely priceless. ❤️🏳️‍⚧️

that storyline with Wiggle and especially the using to enhance creativity is a very personal notion. the environment not being hostile or placing blame and having a kind support network is really comforting. i think ill start playing today i need a distraction, thank u for sharing this info with me

could u elaborate on the subject of bugsnax having a hopeful and more comforting approach to the theme of addiction? we been knew it's something i could do with some comfort for. i have bugsnax on PS+ but never rly found the drive to start it, maybe you could help encourage me with this

Well, w some characters(Wiggle in specific!) the snax are a metaphor for addiction. Wiggle kept needing more and more to even feel creative. But every single grump has a vice that the snax represent or are metaphors for.

The game doesnt frame any of them as stupid or gullible or bad for eating the snax, even when it starts becoming physically obvious.

Basically w/ Wiggle, it shows the importance of a support system + love, and addiction is a corcumstance of environment not an “inherent evil”.

Others can add on- I gotta replay the game but the game unexpectantly gives a hopeful vision regarding every Grumps issues.

But I care Wiggle very much, Gramble too

sometimes i wonder if im like actually still capable of selfshipping 😭 like i know i am but now i've experienced actual real love like nothing i've felt before, i just find it so exhausting and unfulfilling. like i would still lean on it in the meantime if i wasn't batshit crazy waiting on NHS intervention but even if i could, it's just not the same, at least for me

what i search for in life a bond with another human who i can cuddle and kiss and go on adventures with and spoil and invite them into my home and tell them whats mine is theirs? fictional characters just cant and dont do that for me anymore it feels empty to even try 😮‍💨 i suppose that's the point in it being a simple creative fun side hobby that's what i wanted it to be, but whilst i'm still searching for the One™ it does nothing more than just make me feel sad and unfulfilled. like trying to fill a hole that cant be filled this way, idk

happy TDOV 🏳️‍⚧️ (yesterday, i forgot to post here lol) delighted to share my submission for Stealth Zine today! (yesterday lolll)

i'm adopted Scouse, moving from Bournemouth to the north in 2015, landing permanently now in Liverpool in 2020. only a couple of months later during the first lockdown, i was forced to slow down, sit with myself and start thinking about myself. my egg soon cracked in being transgender, at the later age of 23! my piece aims to show just how much being in Liverpool has aided my transition, how i found myself not only living in Liverpool but how i found my actual SELF in Liverpool too, my entire identity and the feeling of knowing who i am :) the safe and welcoming Scouse community spirit, the introduction of local GIC pilot CMAGIC aiding my medical transition, and the resulting opportunities that i found myself in. i volunteered working for Eurovision last year when we hosted, and was featured in several press interviews talking about my trans experience and why Liverpool is such a welcoming and diverse city. this led on to me volunteering with the LCR pride foundation, which i still do to this day! i don't think my transition would have gone as smoothly or opened so many gateways to finding myself and finding a direction in life if my egg had cracked anywhere else <3

i think AI in artwork should be used ONLY as a tool to bolster original creativity, and elevate actual human artwork. i see it kinda like utilising tech to make art and creativity a little easier and more accessible, like digital art applications (i use Clip Studio Paint) and graphics tablets etc. in this, i used an AI frame interpolation tool to turn three static frames of jittery movement into this floaty smooth animation!

(if you use AI to generate images based off a dumb text prompt and call it "artwork" however, i hope your internet connection is slow and you have an awful day. there's no effort there, no creativity, no elevation of something you already worked hard to achieve, and you learn absolutely nothing 🤡)
