daliy nothingburger comment about Saw but im currently: laughing at how it took Hoffman slaughtering like 10 people and being scruffy and dirty and covered with blood for me to finally turn to the dark side with him,

but now i almost always exclusively draw him in his suit & tie from before he loses himself. hair nice and neat, maybe slightly fallen into his face depending on my mood. sinister in secret

Saw VI drops a lot of hints that Hoffman isn't really in the know about why the subjects in the main game were chosen. He has to ask Jill who these people are, and there are a lot of scenes of him staring thoughtfully at the pictures he sets up around his control room, as if he's trying to piece something together.

So, basically, what I'm wondering is, did Hoffman not know about the Pamela Jenkins and William Easton twist? Did John really want Hoffman's possible last thoughts before being tested (or possibly executed, depending on how you interpret the RBT 2.0) to be about how he just facilitated the murder of a brother in front of his sister?
